Some update: Registered with MNRE and applied for 3KW solar system on 5th March 2024. KSEB has given the feasibility approval on 15th March but as on date haven't received the feasibility approval from MNRE. e-Token from MNRE confirming my eligibility for the Government subsidy of Rs.78,000 was received on 20th March. I have written to their support team who sent me an email message which reads as - ''Request you to please wait for the process to finish''. No idea when they will give the Feasibility approval and when the system will start working and finally how many days it will take to get the subsidy amount?. Understand many other people also suffering this kind of delay especially in getting the feasibility approval from MNRE. Has anyone had difference kind of experience - please share here. Thanks
Update: Energy meter fitted on 2nd June And finally, the net meter fitted by KSEB today, i.e on 5th June 2024. Started the procedures on 5th March and completed the connection on 5th June 2024. Have asked the installer to upload the documents so that they can process for the subsidy amount. Thanks.
Another update: Finally got a news that I was allotted a Net Meter from KSEB (I was told that they received 2 Net meters and the 2nd guy in priority line already bought a meter from private source and installed hence the next chance was given to me by the KSEB). KSEB Sub-Engineer came this morning and inspected the installation etc. and told me that most probably the meter will be fitted tomorrow. Any some relief for this long waiting. Shall come back after installing the Net meter. Thanks
Another update: After waiting one month, got some response from MNRE. Now they sent a report to local KSEB office which reads as ''assigned to Sub Office for Feasibility Check on 05-03-2024'' Now, KSEB office has to confirm the feasibility approval to MNRE who then will reconfirm the feasibility approval. Once this is done, we can complete the installation and submit the installation report to MNRE for further process.
Update: Unfortunately, have been waiting for Net Meter since 6th March and no idea when KSEB will release a box to me. No hope in the near future, at least before monsoon to enjoy the solar power. Heard that there are thousands of people who have installed solar panels since last 3 months and have been waiting for the Net Meter.!!
Another update: Checked with RTS (Roof Top Solar system) support team who advise as under - " Request you to please wait for the process to finish''. In addition, I have checked with other sources and was told that ''wait for few days as upgradations is in progress''. However, no one knows when the things will start work.?
Another update: Submitted all documents with KSEB local office and Paid Rs.3600 as their fees for processing the application (Solar Grid Registration fees: Rs.3000 + GST). They don't have Net meter in stock. 3 people already waiting since January 2024 that means no net meter supplied since Jan 2024 and they don't know when it is made available. Since I don't want to wait more days further waiting for the net meter, I have asked the installer to purchase Net meter from open market which mostly will get within this week. Shall keep you posted further developments.
Guaranteed min 4 units per kWh in good sunlight conditions. But I was told some people gets 5 units or even more per Kw. I will report how much I am going to get once it is fully commissioned (KSEB inspection and fitting of Net-metre work is pending).

Since KSEB do not have stocks have ordered from private shop guys, but they too have shortage because KSEB delaying giving test report on the meters. According to information, there is no coordination from KSEB (looks like they don't want to get people enjoy the solar power and as such we don't know when we will get the net meter?? May be by the time we get the Net meter installed, the monsoon may start here!
Nothing happened all these days and my wait still continues..😠 The energy meter number which installed in my place is different than the test certificate number issued for it. So Assistant Engineer (KSEB) refused to fit the Net Meter as promised. Since then i.e. for the last 13 days we have been waiting for a new Energy meter which according to the installer not available in stock. Even they have no idea when it will be available. Truly dissatisfied with the whole system where people are interested to install solar panels, however meters are not made available. ??
