  • This is the 10th day that asylum seekers have locked out the management of the privatised direct provision centre. Residents are protesting at the poor and unfair conditions that they are being forced to live in. Asylum seekers are denied the right to work and study and forced to live on €19.10 per week.
    Lucky is a resident at Kinsale Road Asylum Centre in Cork. Here he talks about the experience of Direct provision and why residents came together to lock management out.
