I’ve only read the first volume a few months ago and absolutely loved it. Can’t wait for my pre-order to come in so I can finally read the rest of the series. HUGE fan of the art 😍
0.0 twists and turns are in your future. The art work and setting. While i wish there was more dialog enjoyed the series. I hope gillian does more of the history and lore going forward.

Dude the part where H.G Wells talks about how board gaming among the elites and royalty of the world lead to them becoming armchair generals and helped the advent of how war was fought leading to ww1 was kinda crazy lol. Very fascinating idea. Loved this whole series though as well.
I didn't know that Tolkien was going to show up. It really kept me hooked.

I enjoyed it quite a bit.
Lent it to a buddy and he liked it.
I believe it counts as a volume 1 as the creators have spoken on how they can come back to the series with different characters later on. It has to go with the idea that any game played in ttrpg they created for the series all counts a canon. In a way the ttrpg they kickstarted earlier this year is a companion piece to the series.
6:42 that one page got me into vol 1. I really hope the next volumes go more into the history and lore that started this series. I did not see that end coming in the last volume.
Great Review Omar......My copy also gave out a crack....and I was worried about the spine as well, but it seems to be ok for now.

Just got my copy and yeah, that binding and glueing is super tight. I'm going to need to stretch that spine a couple of time before I open it properly! Super excited to read this. I think that there was a really long gap between volumes 3 and 4 of the TPB's, but once vol. 4 came out, I just knew that a hardcover was in the works 😁
They kickstarted the game to be a companion to this book.

Really, really bummed out that the IMAGE logo is going horizontal across the spine instead of vertically like 90% of my other IMAGE titles. Keep the aesthetics consistent!
I bought the DCBS exclusive of this and the bundles detached from the ribbon when I started stretching it. Mentioned it in the live stream previously.
I like it fine so far, The art reminds me a lot of Clayton Crain or Dexter Soy.

I tried reading this in TPB but couldn't get into it at all, perhaps because I don't play RPGs. I feel like you need to be into D&D and/or other RPG to enjoy this. I was lost with the references to RPGs after just a few pages!

Have this in the mailbox just waiting for me to get home! I do think the book design is nice but it's a big miss (for me) that they didn't use the artwork on the outside like the trades.
I knew this was going to be this deluxe size, but I was holding out hope that it would be a surprise library edition for the price that it was. Dang.
I remember liking her art on the Wicked and Divine issues she did…but here, eeek. It’s not to my taste
It looks like it's not officially a dungeon & dragon at all cuz I don't see the logo on it, unlike another book called Rick & Morty vs. Dungeons & Dragons graphic novel which has a logo on it.

As I’m new to your channel I knew nothing about your content. I was therefore rather misled by the title of the video into thinking this was a review of the RPG rather than the deluxe edition of the graphic novel. I was aware of the series but had only just learned that there was a related game, which is what I was looking for, and expecting to be reviewed. I’m not sorry I watched it but I’d suggest greater care in choosing titles when there is a possibility of confusion.

One of the worst read I ever came across. Iinreally tried. It was so boring and convoluted like a boring filler episode . It was confusing with terrible art. But then again it justy opinion.

A very bad name for a book. It's nearly impossible to find it on internet, because the search engines don't show it.
