Thank you! I respectfully disagree about the Dune set though. Yes the minifigures are awesome and the set has some great functions, but it's just not that good looking of a build. Ugly midsection that's borderline unpresentable with horrendous color choices. I didn't even consider it for an honorable mention.
The Endurance was a good buy and nice looking ship. I was waiting a long time for the X-Men Mansion so I'm happy it was produced although it feels it could have been better. The Botanical Garden is a nice looking set, but I didn't get it.
My favourite is the Milano, not only the greatest Lego Marvel set in my opinion, but also the greatest Lego spaceship they've ever done (suck it, Star Wars fans lmao). Tbf fair though I do like the Dark Falcon, it's a bit more interesting an entry than the regular variant. My other favourites are the Fortnite Battle Bus, Minecraft Crafting Table, Zelda Great Deku Tree, LotR Bar-ad Dur, Glinda and Elphaba Buildable figures, and the Wicked Dormitory. Stellar year for Lego, definitely!
For me it easily goes to the Milano Spaceship. I absolutely adore the first Guardians film. So to be getting a behemoth of a build with the most iconic ship being the Milano. On top of that getting all the Guardians members in one set together. And the price for piece is near perfect, with 2,000 pieces for $180 you really can’t beat this set.
@@BrickologyProductions you are literally insane. What flaws? Swap the coloured pins you dweeb. sorry, too much hate? But seriously, it's an easy fix and looks incredible afterwards.
@@chuckturdburger4612 The colored pins look horrible, and that is what LEGO included with the set. You can't ignore a flaw a set has because you can modify it. If that's the case then no LEGO set is flawed ever because you can just change it. I also think the mid-section of the vehicle just looks clunky, not a huge fan of its appearance.
@@BrickologyProductions You can swap it for all black pins and set is gorgeous. Ok for Cole mech, but your never mentionned you didn't put Ninjago and/or maybe other themes out of your top
NO ORNITHOPTER????!??!?!?! WTF. anyway, here's where you went wrong: drop harry potter at 10, drop Notre Dame at 7 - too many parts for such a small and inaccessible set, DEFINITELY DROP DEKU TREE AT 4 - OMG what a rip off are you insane?, Drop Milano at 2 - WTF are you thinking? add Ornithopter at 2, Botanial Garden not here? WTF?! Speed Champions needs some love at the 10 spot, that line is doing so many good things these days, either McLaren Formula 1 Car or Ferrari F40 would have been worthy. Anyway, you have terrible taste. I hope you do better next year.
You're taking this way too seriously, it's just my list. As for the Dune set, I think it's horribly flawed. Ugly looking build that compromised display for play--don't love it. Not sure what your complaint about Notre Dame is, that's what Architecture sets have always been. It looks so good. Ultimately, it's just a matter of taste, and I acknowledged that in the video. The Garden isn't my thing, I couldn't care less about it, and that's okay! Just because you disagree with my takes doesn't mean I need to "do better"
@@chuckturdburger4612 Midi scale Falcon is great, and I agree LEGO should make more small sets, but I wasn't making this list thinking about only value in mind. It's purely based on my personal preference and the quality of the builds.
@@BrickologyProductions Notre Dame is too dense. maybe that is a weird complaint. And yeah, larger architecture sets do that a lot, but for example Himeji Castle is just so much better and doesn't have as many parts/details hidden inside that you can't even see. just swap the pins on ornithopter. Yeah, lego should have included them, they probably thought people wouldn't be able to keep it all straight and mess up the build, but it's an easy enough fix and looks stunning afterwards. It's a marvel of lego engineering for a non-technic set and deserves credit for bridging that gap.
Sadly to me Barad Dur was the most disappointing set of the year. It's probably my only 400eur+ lego set I've ever been underwhelmed by My top 5 sets of the year are 5. @@zhenchen7769 don't get me wrong it's still a good set, just imo the least great of the 400eur+ sets inown the scale is weird because they went semi minifigs scale, kind half miniscale, half not miniscale. Solid year for LEGO! Personally the Jaws set is the big winner for me
That's a great choice, Jaws is a beaut
The need a "Jaws: The Revenge" set, where the Shark ROARS!!!!
