- I’m in Indonesia putting the Sony Xperia1 IV cinematic video capabilities to the test in some incredible locations including volcanoes, waterfalls and even attached to my FPV drone. We’re using the 85-125mm true optical zoom lens, 16mm and 24mm lenses which all shoot in 4K 120fps slow motion. To be quite honest, it's 80% Mike's hand and knowledge that does all the work. Honestly the phone, just like the iPhone is a lot of clever marketing mixed with good tech. Nothing spectacular.
Give these guys any mid-range phones that shoots raw and still they can turn it into a fantastic video.
It's the editing skills of an individual that makes videos great 🙂
@@in.miscare Compared to iphone, this phone wasn't even marketed 1%. Only the enthusiasts knew about this phone. And the fact that it can produce those amazing shots just from the Phone's processing itself is a "spectacular" feat.

Crazy how much technology advances. Perfect for small content creators and travel vloggers while also doubling down as a phone.. Just make sure you carry your external charger everywhere!

Sony has been quietly pushing smartphone cameras while everyone was not paying attention. The Xperia 1 mark IV is pretty damn impressive
People not paying attention because Sony suck at marketing, that's why. They need to up that area and their unboxing experience and there it is. The perfect smartphone.

So weird, why Sony's phone getting a lots of love in the comment section but the first thing I've seen in goole after typing "Sony phone" immediately followed by "failed" hmm..
The biggest improvement they made was having the camera app crash on you after 15 minutes so you can be spared the embarrassment of using this phone.
If they are lucky enough in the next 5 yrs maybe Sony would finally appear on the top 20 list of best smartphone maker company...I really hope they can atleast sold 100 phone a year now that would be record breaking for them.
If this keeps up maybe its time for Sony to hang the gloves and stick on creating a next level over priced televisions.

You never answered about the overheating problem.
@@chinitopinoy1726 oveheated for me after about 15 mins (when it was in the underwater housing) didn’t have any issues at all outside of it but I never really shot longer than a 10 min shot.

@@Jamesmatthews where you having a 120Hz refresh rate on your screen while having the overheating? Do you have tested to dial that down and see if it still overheats? I reaaally am digging the phone. But the overheating makes me worry a little. Considering I move away from my old phone because of that! xD

Xperia 1 III has been a delicious pocket cinema camera for traveling. If you're due for an upgrade get either. Especially that IV
This could be very useful for social media and location scouting, but I think that cameras like the varoius blackmagic cannot be beaten. My bmpcc 4k has a gorgeous Image and file flexibility. Aniway, this Will be my next phone for sure
