I do love your smile😃. Could you please share the schedule as a mom reseller? I feel so discouraged when I can’t list every day or something about kid happen that interrupt the business. Cooking, cleaning, teaching, playing with kid are really burn out. 😢
Thank you! You're so sweet!🥰 I was thinking about maybe doing a vlog style video about my schedule. I know it can definitely get demoralizing and it's so easy to feel burnt out with all the things that we have to get done in the day. Something that I started doing to help me is I wake up at 5:30 with my husband and during that time that is my allotted listing time and then it's also when I pull my shipping. So that way I know that no matter what I'm able to get my listings and shipping done for the day. Even if you don't get your listings done for the day, just know that you're doing a full-time job just being an awesome mom and you should be proud of that!! ♥️
Also something that helped me out was timing myself and my task for a week. So I would time how long it took me to ship. How long it would take me to photograph and how long it would take me to list, etc. Then that way every night when I would make my to-do list for the following day I would know exactly how much time I would need to block out for those specific tasks and I would make sure that I would have that time set aside. Only if that's possible for you. That's just something that helped me. ♥️

Of course! I could do a week's work flow video. I currently go sourcing once a week, normally Wednesday when my kids are at school or sometimes if my husband isn't on call on the weekend I'll go on Saturday. ☺️
I hear you! I have a 16 mo old & she only takes one 1.5 hr nap. I feel like this is the only time to do everything, including listing, pics, etc. It’s so challenging and discouraging when I want to do more. Hopefully we can figure something out. 🥰

I've definitely noticed that if life stuff happens and I have to take time off from listing that once I get back in my flow of listing that there is a lot less traction and attention towards my listings. I think it takes a bit to get back into the good graces of the eBay algorithm. As for descriptors I'm currently really enjoying using movies, TV shows, actors and bands as ways to describe certain items. As an example if I found something that is an early 2000s piece/style and it looks like something Rory or Lorelei Gilmore would wear I'd put Gilmore Girls in my keywords and title if I had the space. I've noticed that people will search based on styles they see people wearing in shows and movies.

Then go over to the sold button and you will see the number of sold listings for that items. If the number of active listings is equal to the sold number that's 100% sell through rate. If the sold number is greater than the active number that's over 100% sell through rate. Hope that helps. ☺️

Hey!! I started by looking up on Google "how to make money from home". Haha. I had just found out that I was going to be having twins and with a young kiddo already I didn't know how I would be able to work/pay for daycare. That's when I found a TH-cam video about being a reseller. The very next day I went crazy at Goodwill and spent lots of money on a lot of not so great items but a few gems here and there. Within a year into reselling I felt like I had it down pretty well and my husband was actually able to take a year off of work to finish college. During that time I became the sole income earner and was able to pay all of our monthly bills along with being able to save up for a down payment on our first home through just reselling alone. I don't wash my items unless it is really necessary, but I do steam my items to disinfect them. As for buzz words to describe items that just came from a lot of TH-cam haha. I enjoy watching fellow resellers and also fashion TH-camrs who use tons of great descriptor words. 🥰❤️
Do you find you sell more on eBay or Poshmark? I’ve been causally selling on Poshmark since 2016. I started selling on ebay and have kept under 250 items to avoid fees. I’m thinking I should just lost on ebay too.
So I list everything on both platforms. But lately I have noticed that I have been making more consistent sales on Poshmark versus eBay. I personally prefer having the two to balance each other out because there will be those occasional days where Poshmark falls short for me and then eBay pulls through for the day. ☺️♥️
