- Let’s face it. Feedback is annoying - for you, AND your audience. The trick is to set up your system so the gain you need for the performance is below the “threshold of feedback”. We refer to this as a “stable” system. The QSC TouchMix-8/16 and 30 Pro all have a remarkable Feedback Wizard that can help manage any feedback.

Your videos are very informative and well presented. Thank you for the simplicity QSC!
The QSC TouchMix videos are very well done, and informative. I realized that I needed one of these mixers. I purchased a TM-8 for processing my drumset. It operated for almost a year, but then developed several issues. When powering my TM-8 the headphones had no sound, the four aux outs displayed full red on their outputs. One of the mixer channels was also full red, and so were the two main outs. I had NO efx, comp or eq. Powering the TM-8 off and back on would result in fixing the problem, but not every time. I shipped the mixer back to QSC and the tech said he replaced the SD card. Now it’s STILL doing the same thing! Latest from QSC tech said he’s going to replace the board. Sucks for me. I wonder what the failure rate is on these products.
Love you videos. My teacher would say, "find the pain, reduce the gain." lol
😊
great stuff guys. Thank you so much
Smart. love it
Sweet!
Hey QSC why didn't you make the gain knobs on the touchmix 30 the same sensitivity as the k-series speaker's volume controls. Sometimes these knobs move during transit of handling, it woulda been so much easier to reconfigure. WHY!!! Dam it.
I just got touchmix 16. Shall I assume it doesn’t have feedback wizard?

The fader won't creep up till you click noise!
Would the QSC touchmix 16 will have a software update with the feedback wizard capabilities? You are the best QSC!!!
The TM-8/16 do not have the processing power to run the Feedback Wizard, so that feature will not be trickling down to those models. Thanks,
Dang. Sure would be nice if it did.
is this still true? So the Touchmix 16 does not support the feedback wizard?
I believe they added a feedback wizard to the TM8/16 in the firmware 3.0 updates. I'm not sure if the functionality is the same; I came to this video looking for info since there's nothing specific for the TM8/16 that I've found.
@@QSCAudioProducts they do now..
Through trial and error I also found that it’s important to turn off gating on any mics before running the feedback wizard. I love this mixer. Does anyone know if it’s possible to disable the screen going to sleep?
The screen-dimming is a feature that assists with the longevity of the screen, and there is no way to disable that. A sing touch of any button brings the screen back to full use again. If you are experiencing the Demo Mode, that can be turned off from "Mixer Setup" in the "Menu."
When using the room tuning and anti-feedback wizards, can you just turn the master down to a less offensive level or does the master need to be at unity for the wizards to be effective? The venues I work in always have some patrons present while we are setting up. Thanks!
In order to eliminate the feedback, you need to create feedback. If there are patrons present, they may be subjected to short bursts of feedback before the Anti-Feedback Wizard can grab the offending frequencies and remove them. Your other option is to use the Anti-Feedback in manual mode, and address the problem frequencies as they present themselves.
QSC OK. That makes sense. I was just hoping that the wizard could take the signal from the talkback, boost the gain until feedback and process it internally, rather than processing what it hears from the mains.
@@QSCAudioProducts that was my , question! THNX!
do we have to do it only in one microphone. what of i m using 3 mic?
No, you are not running the wizard on the inputs but on the outputs. So in your case, turn on the 3 mics and then run the wizard.
Hi...i have a question to ask you...
It’s possible put the Anti Feedback in “mute” to not disturbe people ??
The Anti-Feedback is engaged only when you want it to be. It does not run constantly so that it doesn't accidentally notch out intentional frequencies from keyboards, or intentional guitar feedback.
No, it couldnt function to notch out the offending frequencies if on mute, thats why you do it pre-show, before any crowd shows up. (If i understood your question correctly)
Hi, does touchmix 8 has this anti feedback feature?
Absolutely, on all of the outputs (with firmware V3.0 or newer).
Well, finally you came with a masive channel model. I was waiting for this model for a while, and the first thing I want to say is: Why dint you made it android/ I hate Mac. I hate apple and I hate ipads, iphones and all that company. Why should I pay close to 800.oo for an ipad or iphone to run a mixer. I know your'going to say that some technicals issues stop you from doing it. But other comparatives have made the switch with wi-fi. Why noy QSC, my favorite soundware company. I have to think about the change, maybe one day you please us the android people. Have you an idea on how much it really cost [money and time] to repair a tablet or an iphone? Well, I know, because an apple product can put you out of business for a long time, unless you have plenty of money to buy an spare one. Thanks, no thanks.

An Android app has been available for the TouchMix-8/16 for the last year and a half, and the TM-30Pro is no different. Search for TouchMix in the Google Play Store and you will find it available for free download!
