I should let you know that the problem is due to missing DirectX 9.0c run-time compoenents, which Microsoft has convienently left out. Some games compensate for this by installing it for you, but older games do not due to being developed prior to Windows 7 and 8.x. I am glad that I found your video though.
Hey, thanks for your input, I noticed on some WINDOWS 8.1 computers, that those INSTALL DIRECTX9 by it self. I already try it on 2 laptops and update always come UP by it self.

Hey guys! Everybody thumbs up for this guy! That's a good video, BUT if your computer get's you an another .dll message (example: wmasf.dll missinng) you need to install windows media player 12. It's helped for me.
JV0880 Oh yeah, after a while I found out that the files are already there, the game just couldn't recognize it, so I kept replacing it until it said I have to have a unknown file... it was something like @GMOD@SOD@GAME@DLL@VAAALLVEE@ And no, the ''VAAALLVEE'' wasn't an mistake/type EDIT: Probably a troll :/
