So I found a way to go infinite in Standard with this Alt Win card. Finally get to tick this one off my Lost Caverns of Ixalan Bucket List. Its cheesy and janky but I love it! Have a great day
Ya know I was just thinking last night that I hadn't looked through the new set to see if anything was broken with the Soul Cauldron. Get on youtube this morning and had this in my recommendations, absolutely brilliant!
Nice combo deck. You managed to pull the combo way more often than I was expecting. By the way, Tough Cookie is another card that will turn your Calendar into a creature and another target for your opponent to deal with if your combo isn't quite coming together.
That tough cookie is such a cool card. This is definitely on the major jank end of the viability scale but i like spending many attempts trying to do just one cool thing in Magic. Kudos to these opponents for sticking around too 👍
Another interesting bit of janky is to make Agatha's Cauldron a creature. If their are lots of creatures in graveyards you can empty them pretty quickly. I tried a jank combo using The Overslime, Sleep cursed fey, and Kami. Big mana Goosemother and Tough Cookie. I only managed to reach it a few times and several misclicks normally ended my match.
I like the combo! Here's a jank idea that you could consider, you can use [[Abuelo's Awakening]] to turn [[One with the Multiverse]] into a creature, and then play clones to make copies of it. I did some testing with a deck built around this concept but didn't get it to a state that I think is very playable. It used Explosive Singularity to win after your opponents got a turn since you had access to a bunch of free spells. One thing I forgot about an extra turn spell like [[Alchemist's Gambit]] could make it easier to win all at once before you opponent has a chance to stop you.
Important to note that the clones enter as enchantments that aren't creatures. So there might be combo potential with cheating in some other big things since their power and toughness likely will enter in as the original.
I'll give it a go! Do you find with the longer rotation there are a lot of (janky) cards from earlier standard legal sets that suddenly become relevant out of nowhere with new cards!? It's hard to keep track of all standard options I find! lol
Yeah the longer rotation has made standard kind of massive. For me, I mostly play in the ranked queue, not that I am actually focused on climbing, but it makes it hard to pull much jank off as it is very meta focused. Which to be honest, I have found somewhat frustrating since it feels like it is hard to play anything new. Perhaps I should be try playing in the normal queue. Regardless, I do like to try out janky ideas frequently, and having more cards definitely helps make things possible, whereas they otherwise wouldn't.
Not exactly a janky deck, but not also not exactly competitive tier, is angel typal. Between New Cappena, DMU, March and Aftermath, there are a lot of really good angels across the curve. Now we also have Cavern of Souls and Resplendent Angel, you could easily build an entire deck of angels if you wanted. Plus cavern gives you non-white mana to kick archangel of wrath or splash for some of the multicolor angels like the team-up legends, Liesa, and hexproof Sigarda.
I had somebody use the cauldron combo with something else to kill me and took me a little bit to realize what was going on. First time I'd seen cauldron in use having only recently returned
If you see it, try and destroy it! It's a combo enablerrrr but such a cool card if you ever get a chance to brew around it. So many possibilities and any card with an activated ability has potential 👍👍
@@panzerswinefluso look for bosieju it's a land in green that can destroy non basics and artifacts enchantments but grants your opponents a land with a basic type which includes the tri color lands if they have them in their list. Another great answer is tear asunder especially in golgari bc it exiles artifacts not just destroy and can exile anything if you pay an additional 1b . In white you have get lost and soul partition both instant speed 2 mana options. Red has abrade blue has otawara the channel land March of swirling mists. There are a few white creatures like loran and cathar commando
All will be one is faster right? you don't need to go infinite, you just need to get to 30-40 and they are dead, but I have no idea if All will be one is still in standard, I don't play 60 card formats, only commander 😊
Yep you're correct. I just wanted to combo to 1000 and win that way. Always like to find janky infinite combos when new sets hit. I play EDH too at weekends and am meaning to put together a deck that is just as many janky combos as I can squeeze in to 100 cards. The Millennium Calendar and All Will be One sounds a great addition!
Yeah it's a glass cannon card if the deck is just built around it. That tends to happen with these Alt win cards, but I enjoy the grind trying to pull the win cons off! There's a calendar combo with "all will be one" which is much less janky, actually can be pretty good 👍
How is this clickbait? It says "1000 damage in 1 turn", which is what The Millenium Calendar does. Also did you genuinely think you can win turn 1 in standard? lol
@Goldy01 it's like attacking for 18 dmg in first 4 turns and calling a shock a 1 turn kill. Diabolic intent might as well be the attacking damage and the 1000 dmg be a shock. Every game ends on 1 turn or another so it loses all meaning.

@adorkmoreon3599 this sounds great I might have a look at this! Thanks 👍👍
i was thinking about this combo when i see the millenium calendar and im glad somebody finally did it
Janky, slow, and beautiful. Nice video!

is it possible to play this deck without agatha soul cauldron ? is there an alternative card i could use instead ?
That was beautiful lol, you got any ideas for a Abzan life gain counter deck
Are there any ways to turn your life gain into a win con in Standard? Like the Voice of the Blessed. I'll give it a look later! 👍👍
The new legendary Amalia is a bit of a payoff. Also we just got Resplendent Angel reprint so that's pretty solid.
Flipping brilliant
I was thinking something similar using Tough Cookie to animate the Calendar
HELL YEAH GREAT VIDEO
Been playing this card with All Will Be One
Same. It's a nice little combo and a spicy addition to All Will Be One decks. Looking to put up that deck this weekend. Does it work well for you?

nice
I’m not even slightly surprised about this card causing issues
issues?
@@Goldy01 yea so many johnny ahh players are gonna waste money on a garbage calendar combo deck
I've played against someone with the Millennium Calendar. Not sure if they were going for the combo, but I destroyed it and won.

cool combo deck, it's just too many clicks for me
Me too to be honest! Although it wasn't as bad as I thought. At least it doubles and doesn't add like 5 or something 🙂
Now let him play against mono red and ramp with 4 leyline bindings snd ossifications. Doubt it can pull a win there unfortunately.
Playing against a black deck and not facing sheoldred on turn 4 is the most unrealistic thing I've ever seen 🤣
1 turn win, after 5 or 6 of set up. Click bait title and just picking on other noobs in the nonranked queue.

It's an otk combo. You can't ftk in magic ever because of mana
@@opposite342 fairly easy in vintage to ftk...
@@D0012D13 ok maybe I'm wrong and some formats can ftk, but still you should interpret the title as otk because it said "in 1 turn"
a pretty boring deck, it has enough downtime to wait and just rely on a card and a single action…. 😒.
