Standard c&c cage measurements were originally with 14" grids because like 10 years ago when they started being popularized that's all that was available. Now I have to super hunt for 14" grids lol when I built my first cage in 2015 it was all 14" grid for Sq foot measurements and it was confuuuussing lol

I have a suggestion for your guinea pig set up, I saw another girl (forgot her name) use a table so she could double stack her guinea pig cages but still have enough space to reach them.

Hey I had an idea that you could maybe buy or if you had one of those white fold out table and have one cage at the top and built around the The bottom of it what the c and c grids I’ve seen people do that to have more of a open space

What if you mounted like a big shelf all the way around, for the upper cages to sit on. Idk if the wall mounts would be able to hold all the weight or if that is just a bad idea in general, but if it would work I think it would be easier to interact with the piggies underneath and be easier to build.
I know you mentioned over hanging the cage going on top but what if you put it on top of the of both of 2×6 cages. That way there is no over hang and you wouldn't need to even worry about the vent.

I have an idea! I thought about how you could give the piggies more space plus enough room for you to get around and to not have to hover part of David, Alexis, and Bebe’s cage over the vent…so then this came to mind: what if you made a three level cage instead of two? Here’s the explanation (sorry if it’s confusing😅) You said in the video that you’re gonna be using 11.8 inch grids and I assume you’re gonna have at least one row of grids connecting the bottom and the top cages. There would be three rows of grids in a two level cage so that would be 35.4 inches tall which is a little over 2 1/2 feet tall. It would be like this Row 2 Cage Connecting Grids Row Row 1 Cage But if you did three levels, there would be 5 rows of grids, like this Row 3 Cage Connecting Grids Row Row 2 cage Connecting Grids Row row 1 cage So if you multiply 11.8 times 5 it equals to 59 inches which is almost 5 feet tall. So a three level cage would give even more room to the pigs without having to worry about the vent or the end of the top cage with David, Alexis, and Bebe being hovered in the air. I’m not completely sure, but I think the extra part of that 2x8 cage is gonna wobble when they run around or even walk. I’m not sure how tall you or Josh are, but I feel like it would give the pigs even more room and give you extra room as well. You obviously don’t have to use my idea but it’s just a thought. I’m sorry again if this was confusing, saying it out loud helps!

My mom who is a vet was watching this video with me and suggested if you wanted to still try those urinary pellets (I think that’s what there called lol) then you could crush them up into dust and mix them with there pellets. I wish I could hold my piggies like that. I can't do the toenails or clean their butt properly. I can pet them a little but I could never hold them so they won't wiggle out of my hands
I got my pigs the day after cristmas not too sure about their age mostly because the shelter that we adopted them from was very wrong about one of my pig's ages they said she was around 1yr old and I can tell you when I got her she was a baby she was I think 400g and now she is around 860g I am not too sure how they could have messed up that also when I got her she was TINY compared to Luna oh ya also their names are Luna and Popcorn (Popcorn is the queen of popcorning she will popcorn at the slightest things like me spot cleaning me getting hay me walking in the room me giving veggies it's funny) any way yea Popcorn is doing well she is a very curious gal but very timid will not let me go near her or pick her up Luna she was a chill pig from the beginning but I have gotten to know her a bit she will let you pet her at times and she is a pretty calm pig what it seems but she is not as curious as Popcorn Luna will freeze up and hope she does not die poor thing is so scared. one of my favorite parts was when we were about to adopt them we saw if they got along well. it was awesome luna was the dominant one but she was always like a mother to Papi they are like best friends but the cool part is in the shelter they were not cage mates but the whole time they were in the shelter their cages were right next to each other so they became best friends through bars. sorry for such a long comment just wanted to share my guinea pigs story. 😅
I have a per gunnie pig and he is probably around 4 to 5 I just got him form someone like 4 months ago and he is staying to loose appetite and not drinking alot of water and has white stuff around his eyes and has a yellowish crusty nose he has alit of energy still and hops around but I'm worried about him what can I do to fix this please?

I have 6 pigs and I figured out keeping a large spout bottle filled with water in their room makes refills so much easier

You need a vet ASAP. Only a medical professional can help you pig and it sounds like you Guinea pigs needs antibiotics.
