Lauren, this video was gold. I really liked all the information about certain protocol like doing stuff to the house such as a pool, paint etc. I have in mind when I buy my house to build a pergola in the backyard. The information on HOAs was useful, i am more if the type to have -some- low HOA fee with minor presence in the neighborhood where I choose to buy a home.

Wonderfully done. Currently living in New York I always was turned away from HOA however you are dead on, crappy neighbors can be a daily eye sore which with an OCD personality like mine would drive me to the deep end. I do like customizing my home but I suppose most wouldn't be opposed of. I just worry with things turning more liberal being told one day I cant hang my US flag or Christmas lights etc etc. Thanks for a wonderful video and sunny attitude. Hope my job transfers me down south and out of this cesspool sooner than later.

Helpful video. Waiting on a good job offer to make the move from NY. What communities have good walkability, to stores/town and schools. Thx

Here in my town in NJ you just can't let grass grow crazy, or start fixing cars in the front of your house, the city will fine me, don't need an HOA.

Yes, I agree, that does happen if you live within the confines of a city.... however, here it is possible to live outside the city limits in county or town areas. Where in NJ do you live? I have family/friends there. Please let me know if I can answer any questions you might have about moving to Charlotte NC 704-989-2999. Thank you for watching my video - I sincerely appreciate it! Wishing you a fabulous evening Tom!

I hope all HOAs aren't created equal. I've heard more horror stories. I hate the thought of a group of people controlling what I do. We get enough of that from the government

Agreed! However most will argue that they are in place to keep property values up. Please let me know if you have any questions that I can answer regarding the Charlotte area 704-989-2999

So many cookie cutters in Charlotte. They even have cookie cutter mailboxes. Very bland garage houses in Charlotte.
