I think those that can use the void power are gonna be intrical in the fight against the titans. With anduin being the key due to his ability to use void and light.

There have been tons of hits that there is something else going on that the Titans don't want us to know. I think Azeroth might be the last First Ones. And I think the Titans will eventually turn on us because we're going against their order, and I have a feeling Sargeras might side with us because he'll realize we need Azeroth to fight the void lords.
I wouldn't be surprise if it happen that Sargeras know more than what he want to reveal and Illidian actually uncover the whole true during his jail time.
I agree , im beginning to think she is a First One as well. I feel her being an uber titan would be somewhat of a letdown. This brings up a thought, what if Azeroths origin is similiar to Wonder Womans in the movies? Where the gods were killed off and Diana was the sole remaining god to keep everyone else in check. What if the cosmic forces came together and drove the first ones to extinction and Azeroth was left behind to keep things balanced? Perhaps the conspiracy has to do with her origin and the biggest lie was that she is just a regular titan and instead is the last of the creators of the warcraft universe.
Out of all possibilities I'm mainly interested in what they have planned for Azshara. Honestly she might have some introduction here in TWW, but I guess we would see her in Midnight and encounter her as a PROPER villain (not BFA type of villain). I wouldn't be surprised if she is actually part of the final expansion instead. Whatever they have in store, I do hope we see her in her full strength, and hopefully in her elven appearance too.

I think she will more like ally herself with us for the time being, and we will honestly need her in the in the fight against the light. Once it happens, we might defeat the void in midnight, but Luke all cosmological forces it can't be truly destroyed.
Sargeras has always been the devil of Warcraft, and Metzen himself has said the original team considered him the end boss. I want lore on the other titans, Golganneth Khazorgorath and Norgannon would be cool
What about this artefact in the hands of Xal'atath? Blizz says that thus disc similar to Dragon Soul but more ancient, need to remember that the Dragon Soul idea was whispered to Neltarion by old gods. So what does dragon soul? Its can seal different cosmic powers and convert it to some prime energy right? Dragon soul was fuel by demons essence and then by aspect powers(life, order,) and the output was pure energy. So there can be 2 things: 1. Xal'atath collect all old gods essence, and in the end we will see like a ultimate old god like power ranger style (yogg-mouth, cthun-eyes, nzoth-brain, isharadj- hearth. 2.Or Xal'atath will also collect all cosmic forces essence to fuel something or to open a portal for full void invasion? They collected Galakrond essence and for reason blizz shows us that his essence was full of death magic…
I don’t think that we will fight sargaras, I think he wants Azeroth to wake up and it’s whole heartedly against amanthul and his fellow titans plan to instill order over creation (Azeroth). Sargaras feared that outcome which is why he tried to stab the world with his sword, better no one controls her than to have her corrupted as apart of the titans plan.
I dont see that happening because his whole goal to to lure the titans back to Azeroth. I have a feeling we won't directly deal with iridikron till TLT

They can't kill Sargeras. He is the ultimate evil in WoW, killing him would be folly and if he ever does become a final boss, it should be the end of WoW, period. Bottom line, there is no other villain setup to be a bigger baddie. They tried and failed with the Jailer. I would personally be very upset with permanently dealing with Sargeras. The Last Titan clearly refers to Azeroth being the last titan to awaken and since the saga is called the "World Soul Saga" it is obvious the "will she, won't she" of Azeroth waking up is the central theme of it all.
Queen Azshara will not be a final boss, it makes no sense, she already was, and she certainly doesn't want everything to be destroyed, she wants a kingdom for her people... she will surely join us, she makes no sense as a final boss. again haha

Last Titan = Azeroth, Sargeras and us mortals vs. The Pantheon (maby the "life titan" will side with us also). I really think Sargeras tryed to free Azeroth from her Titan prison with hes sword. Azeroth is Reality, promise! She is the only "thing" that can fight both light, void, fel and order.
We never got to straight up fight Sargeras. I envision a massive fight where we have to like climb up his arm. Lots of main characters die. The world is reshaped. Crazy action movie shit.

Yup, could definitely see it happening. I could see a splinter happening with the Light forces where the fanatical ones might come for the world soul as opposed to helping us. Turalyon could be the one to do it as his first doubt in the Light started with Xe'ra plus the way they treated Alleria.
@@MrLolguy93 yea garrisons were trash and there were very few updates/raids. They didn't even make Farahlon or that Ogre island in the south. Also they should have left the garrison boat docks for bfa which was much more fitting for that expansion
Makes no sense that prison time simply cut him off from fel. By all acounts he is a Fel Titan. Just like the demons imprisoned in Marduum did not loose their fel, neither will he. HOWEVER I can see the pantheon trying to purge him of the Fel
I like the idea of Sargeras being the villain in TLT. It makes sense. Since day one (or almost since day one) he was the ultimate, big bad guy in Warcraft universe. We stopped him in Legion, it was epic, don't get me wrong, but Blizzard still owes us a fight against him. I can imagine, that his prison weakened him enough (maybe even the Fel left his body), so he is able to step on Azeroth, and probably have the same power level of the Jailer had. No, I don't wanna think about Dr Evil Nipples, so let's just say he'd have the power level of Denathrius (or any other Eternal). After all, it was his goal to destroy Azeroth, making himself THE LAST TITAN. So it's the perfect opportunity to end the Sargeras vs. Azeroth story, which has benn built in the last 25 years. Another topic: I'm really interested, when the TItans come to Azeroth, how will Illidan react, after he learns all the ugly truths about them.
My hope for the end of the trilogy is that Sargeras gets free and returns to Azeroth just as she is waking up. Then they have sex on top of the planet.
For The War Within, I think the final boss fight *will* be Xal'atath, but the final boss _death_ will be the Prime Naaru that is speculated to be located in that crystal in Hallowfall. I think we're bringing that Naaru with us to the final raid to help us fight Xally's minions and will be key to us fighting Xal'atath herself. Only, the Prime Naaru is unstable and will empower Xal'atath any time it flips to its Void-state. Eventually the only way to stop this will be to destroy the Prime Naaru, and this is what Xal'atath needs from us. The Sunwell was reignited by the heart of a *regular* Naaru in its void-state. The heart of a Prime Naaru in its Void-state may function very differently, especially when used along with the essence of Galakrond and the blood of the Old Gods, resulting in something that absorbs the Light from the Sunwell, and this is the catalyst that leads us to Midnight. In Midnight, I think Xal'atath will be a boss again, and this time it will be in her true Void-form, as opposed to her possessed void elf form we previously fought in TWW. However, I don't think she will be a final boss here. I've not come to a full conclusion yet, but it'll either be a Void Lord that hopefully is introduced at the start of the expansion, or it will be An'shuul, who I believe is a World Soul of the Void. I think An'shuul's arrival will be what brings the Pantheon to Azeroth and they help us defeat An'shuul, but not before it is revealed that An'shuul isn't a World Soul that was turned by the Void, it is a World Soul that was _naturally_ Void. Not only that, but the bronze skinned Titans are Life Titans, not Order, and Sargeras and Aggramer are actually Gold skinned Light Titans. Long story short, Aman'Thul is revealed as a liar and manipulator, a Titan civil conflict begins and either Sargeras or Aman'thul are the last boss of TLT. As I'm sure you've noticed, this gets more and more stupid the more I type. I think things will actually get a LOT greyer with the Void as this saga progresses, which is why I think Azshara will be an ally, not an enemy. I also think that Iridikron wont be a final boss because he is small potatoes compared to the other beings. The one exception would be a void-infused Iridikron as a final boss in Midnight instead of An'shuul, with An'shuul being saved for future expansions.
Final Bosses: The War Within: Iridikron Midnight: Xal'atath The Last Titan: Aman'thul My speculation is that in TWW we get more context around Xal'atath and her goals, we lose and the Void Invasion starts. Midnight is the Void Invasion, but we also deal with antagonist Light-based forces and the story focuses on the idea that no cosmological force is purely 'good' or purely 'evil'. The Last Titan is basically the culmination of Azeroth's World Soul stage. The context of the story, up to this point, is that all these various cosmological forces want to lay claim to Azeroth, but Azeroth *herself* wants to determine her own fate, and we are her guardians versus these various forces. The story concludes with a 'Titan Civil War' at some point with Eonar leading the 'good' titans (who are willing to let Azeroth to determine her own fate) and the antagonistic Titans led by Aman'thul, who is the last boss and is defeated by us as Azeroth comes into being. The immediate future of WoW following that ends up being a story arc of basically 'stabilizing' the various cosmological forces and setting up a sort of pantheon with representatives from each area of the cosmology.
I still wonder if 10.2 was really the end of dragonflight. Did the Wow team confirmed it? Because we still need content until next fall. Begin to think there will be a 10.3 or at least a patch that make transition between the two expansion.

Why did sargeras say "our crusade will prevail" to KJ in the 7.2 cinematic? Why did the legion corrupt the orcs to commit genocide on the draenei and then open the dark portal to have them commit genocide on the humans of azeroth? Sargeras corrupted medivh at the time so he knew what was happening and was fully involved with it. Why is Argus so messed up as it is? Why did sargeras have its world soul so brutally tortured for so long? Why are his demons so cruel? It doesn't matter if titans are bad guys. We've had ALOT of evidence to suggest sargeras is even worse than they are.

@beerexpert1057 hes definitely not a hero of any kind considering the nunmber of times hes committed genocide and war crimes lol regardless of what his motivations are. Forgiving him would be like forgiving sylvannas times a billion. If he does side with us, it would prob just be a temporary alliance of convenience in the same way the US and USSR allied to take out nazi germany despite their hatred for each other.
the reality is we prob cant defeat sargaras or the titans and the first ones will half to step in and punish the titans for there disobedience and banish them to there realm for all eternity. the age of the titans will end and azeroth will be the last remaining titan and she will travel around the universe undoing what the titans and sargaras was doing, which will take millions of years she wont be seen again in this version of world of warcraft..

ah yes, female final bosses such as fyrakk, the jailer, n'zoth, argus etc and female heroes such as thrall, anduin, wrathion, khadgar etc and yes, there are both female heroes and villains, but why does that matter?
You forgot about Denathrius. His death isn’t confirmed. And also nathrezims were the once, who told Sargeras about the Void and it’s mysterious Lords. He may appear as well.
@@rossblackblood9554 true I can see that happening, but wasn't it implied back in Legion that the planets that the titans emerged from was still teeming with life even after they emerged from those planets. I know Sargeras's planet was said to turn into a hellscape upon his fel corruption but the rest of the pantheon are pure titans so in theory shouldn't Azeroth awaken as pure titan if we manage to keep her out of the clutches of the void lords/old gods influence? I don't think her emergence would necessary mean a violent interruption to life on the planet

I think we have to consider that "main villain" and "final boss" is not the same! All lore left aside, at the end of the day, it`s a mmo and it must somehow work in a boss encounter. in the past, we had -mighty lore characters that support/save us (e.g Tirion Fordring vs arthas etc) -the villain is crippled before / killed after the fight by lore characters (e.g thrall using dragonsoul on deathwing etc) -we fight a lesser boss to free/rescue/support/whatever lore charcters who kill the villain in a cinematic (e.g ending of legion) when you go over all details and consider the fact that we always need someone on our side in order to beat the big bad guys, things can be nailed down to 2 or 3 possible outcomes.
Just a theory from all the hints we got sargeras will most likely not be the final boss what's the evidence that we kind of have he was trying to free Azeroth I don't remember where it's at but there is a globe of Azeroth with sargeras sword with three rings and one of them is being stopped by a sword which is causing azeroth's prison to weaken. And it's just a coincidence that the logo for the last Titan as Azeroth with rings around it so my theory is is that the Titans are bad sargeras knew about Azeroth and try to free her because he is also known for cleaving planets not stabbing them. And it is the same ring that the dragon incarnates was imprisoned in inside the first raid
Imagine the final Raid’s skybox is an awakened Azeroth combating Sargeras (or an equivalent threat depending on how the story shakes out) as we fight our way through the raid to activate something to help Azeroth (very rough idea) and it ends with a cinematic quality culmination fight. I think Xal'atath will be the final boss of "The War Within". She is literally called "the Harbinger", she serves the Void directly and that would fit her death causing, or being followed up by, the major Void invasion through the Sunwell. I wouldn't be surprised if Xal'atath sacrifices herself willingly to make that happen (especially since that might not kill her - that's not her body, that's a dead Void Elf she's possessing). I also think Irridikron will appear in at least one expansion before The Last Titan, though I don't think he'll be a raid boss until The Last Titan. And I don't think he'll be the final raid boss of any expansion, though he'll get the raid boss treatment.
Honestly hope they leave most major characters besides thrall and anduin outside the war within, I love the idea of the next generation of characters being made here shit like thrall's son & vereesa's kids. Baine sitting in the major city for the whole expansion and shit like that might not happen then idk tons of stuff they can do with it
Each titan represents its own element. Eonar - life. Sargeras - Chaos, Amantul - order, Argus - Death. Perhaps Azeroth will become the titan of darkness.
What if...Azeroth is the last Titan...but thats the end boss for us in that expansion? We have always been told that if Azeroth awakens, thats a bad thing for us. What if we fight our own planet to put it back to sleep in order to save ourselves?
we have iridikron. all we know about his story is that he is a primal dragon who wants to defeat order. okay. so he made a pact with the enemy of order: void. the representative of the void is xalatath. they are in league. nerubians joined them. we have these info. so we also know that the first raid’s final boss is the nerubian empress. that brings us that the final boss for the war within would be iridikron. he is the earth primal dragon and we are going inside the earth. that makes sense. the end boss for midnight speculation would be like this: we know that we will banish the shadow and put an end to void incursions over azeroth. so strongly, the final boss is going to be xalatath or blizzard have decided to show us something huge and we are going to face a portion of a void lord’s power. that could be too. the finale: the last titan should be azeroth herself. this world is a prison like lady sylvanas said. we are going to shatter that prison and the last titan will be awaken. that makes the world soul story into a saga. 25 years old azeroth lore must end like that.
If Blizzard goes the same way with the Voidlords and First Ones that it went with the Xel'Naga and Amon from Starcraft 2, that will suck. All this hype to see the most powerful and ancient beings just to find out they are a bunch of space squid potato things. They had better look cool. Wouldn't it make more sense if Xal'atath was the final boss of Midnight, a Void themed expansion? War Within will possibly have antagonist that is so far unknown.
Hope this makes sense but: When we die, we go into soul form, our essence if you like floats about until we find our body, it could be true of Titans as well, their essence was saved and captured by Sargaras and kept in Antorus, until we freed them and then freed Eonar and Aggramar! It's logical to assume that when they returned to Titan form or Body form that they regained all their powers, or at least their powers have come back over the years! Having to fight a full powered Titan won't be easy and this vast conspiracy leads me to believe Sargaras will be involved! But that being said, it could be taking the combined power of the pantheon to keep Sargaras bound!
I think they’re going to hold a main villain across all 3 throughout the saga. We might get a pseudo final boss near the end of each expansion but I think they’ll either build towards a big villain or intro the big bad early on with stages on how to dismantle the threat and each of the 3 expansions slowly chips away.
I don't worry at all because Elune will step in and save us in the end. Also, the very First Ones, in their great wisdom and glory, already predicted all raid bosses till the end of Warcraft time. We are safe 😊❤There is nothing to worry about.
we've dealt or will deal with a representative of each cosmological element that wanted the world soul at some point. Life, Order, the Light, and Void are the only ones that haven't really done so yet to a huge scale like this. Disorder (Burning Legion), Death (Jailer), we've all dealt with them in an expansion. Midnight might have the light and void clash on who gets the world soul. While The Last Titan might be with the remaining ones
So idk how wild this might sound, but hear me out With Expac1 & 2 Complete we head into Expac3 “The Last Titan. We find out that Sargaras has escaped his prison. Illidan returns with the pantheon giving us the news. This brings back a fan favorite character, and allows the Dragons /or/ Main Cast to confront the Titans about their altered truths. They can splinter (as was hinted in Dragonflight, but gives a good story plot for a patch or 2. This confrontation being similar to Algalon, with Aerothians defending their right to defend their planet themselves. Bringing Sargeras back, he could return to his Burning Legion, now in shambles, but finds Sire Denathrius rebuilding things. Denathrius being the trickerster he is, could further manipulate Sargeras, or they could team up and become Beat Buds?! Idk yeah hope ya enjoy the read and theory, k bye (please excuse typos, Autocorrect doesn’t like WoW terms lol)
The difference is how the fight was laid out. Azshara needed us to release N’Zoth through pushing the use of the heart and do her fancy sea witch ritual to release him. Basically she was toying with us throughout the fight to force the use of the Heart of Azeroth. She really only started taking the fight seriously during the last stage (when she got the void powers asking N’Zoth for help . . .). Like I don’t consider her gaining two void abilities in the fight as her being at full void power. Legit the only two void abilities she herself uses are in the last phase: 1. Void Touch “Azshara will frequently cast Void Touched at the tank, dealing a burst of shadow damage and leaving a debuff which reduces healing received by 10% for 30 seconds. This can stack.” 2. Nether Rift “Azshara opens a rift on the ground that lasts for 2 minutes. Any player who stands within the rift takes a moderate amount of shadow damage every second.” Basically, the way they can pull off (and I think it was intentionally set up this way) Azshara as a future boss is because she wasn’t actually trying to kill us during the fight until she realized she actually stood a chance of being defeated, she really didn’t have any void powers (kind of like N’zoth just tossed her two new abilities that she ended up losing after she was defeated), and we had supped up powers from the heart of Azeroth while fighting her.
Can't be him since Titans aren't coming until the end think he's smart enough to avoid dying and use others as shields basically like he did with his siblings
BFA lead into Azshara, Old God and Titan/Azeroth lore while Shadowlands lead into Emerald Dream and cosmological forces, how are they filler? I’m not saying they’re good expansions or story but every expansion since Mists has had threads into the next expansion. They’re just marketing it as a roadmap now.

Xal'atath < Azshara < Sargeras seems the most logic succession of final bosses by what we currently know. Xal was already highlighted as the last boss of Warthin (Meltzen usually prefer to make clear who the final boss is to build hype around him/her, unlike Danuser), Azshara is both a champion of the void and THE elven character, related more or less with every single elf as the last supreme ruler of their race. I cannot see another final villain for Midnight, THE elven expansion AFAWK aside herself. Sargeras, well, nothing to say, even Metzen himself said for his team he was always set to be the true ending boss of WoW since the start.

I don’t think that we will fight sargaras, I think he wants Azeroth to wake up and it’s whole heartedly against amanthul and his fellow titans plan to instill order over creation (Azeroth). Sargaras feared that outcome which is why he tried to stab the world with his sword, better no one controls her than to have her corrupted as apart of the titans plan.
I don't see Xal'atath being the final War Within boss, I could see her be the final boss for Midnight and we fight Iridikron as the final boss in TWW.
I want to see Iridikon in the battle against the Titans. At least let him take out Norganon or Khaz'goroth before he's put down.

They can't kill Sargeras. He is the ultimate evil in WoW, killing him would be folly and if he ever does become a final boss, it should be the end of WoW, period. Bottom line, there is no other villain setup to be a bigger baddie. They tried and failed with the Jailer. I would personally be very upset with permanently dealing with Sargeras.
The Last Titan clearly refers to Azeroth being the last titan to awaken and since the saga is called the "World Soul Saga" it is obvious the "will she, won't she" of Azeroth waking up is the central theme of it all.

Yup, could definitely see it happening. I could see a splinter happening with the Light forces where the fanatical ones might come for the world soul as opposed to helping us. Turalyon could be the one to do it as his first doubt in the Light started with Xe'ra plus the way they treated Alleria.

Makes no sense that prison time simply cut him off from fel. By all acounts he is a Fel Titan. Just like the demons imprisoned in Marduum did not loose their fel, neither will he. HOWEVER I can see the pantheon trying to purge him of the Fel
I like the idea of Sargeras being the villain in TLT. It makes sense. Since day one (or almost since day one) he was the ultimate, big bad guy in Warcraft universe. We stopped him in Legion, it was epic, don't get me wrong, but Blizzard still owes us a fight against him.
I can imagine, that his prison weakened him enough (maybe even the Fel left his body), so he is able to step on Azeroth, and probably have the same power level of the Jailer had. No, I don't wanna think about Dr Evil Nipples, so let's just say he'd have the power level of Denathrius (or any other Eternal).
After all, it was his goal to destroy Azeroth, making himself THE LAST TITAN. So it's the perfect opportunity to end the Sargeras vs. Azeroth story, which has benn built in the last 25 years.
Another topic: I'm really interested, when the TItans come to Azeroth, how will Illidan react, after he learns all the ugly truths about them.
My hope for the end of the trilogy is that Sargeras gets free and returns to Azeroth just as she is waking up. Then they have sex on top of the planet.

For The War Within, I think the final boss fight *will* be Xal'atath, but the final boss _death_ will be the Prime Naaru that is speculated to be located in that crystal in Hallowfall. I think we're bringing that Naaru with us to the final raid to help us fight Xally's minions and will be key to us fighting Xal'atath herself. Only, the Prime Naaru is unstable and will empower Xal'atath any time it flips to its Void-state. Eventually the only way to stop this will be to destroy the Prime Naaru, and this is what Xal'atath needs from us.
The Sunwell was reignited by the heart of a *regular* Naaru in its void-state. The heart of a Prime Naaru in its Void-state may function very differently, especially when used along with the essence of Galakrond and the blood of the Old Gods, resulting in something that absorbs the Light from the Sunwell, and this is the catalyst that leads us to Midnight.
In Midnight, I think Xal'atath will be a boss again, and this time it will be in her true Void-form, as opposed to her possessed void elf form we previously fought in TWW. However, I don't think she will be a final boss here. I've not come to a full conclusion yet, but it'll either be a Void Lord that hopefully is introduced at the start of the expansion, or it will be An'shuul, who I believe is a World Soul of the Void.
I think An'shuul's arrival will be what brings the Pantheon to Azeroth and they help us defeat An'shuul, but not before it is revealed that An'shuul isn't a World Soul that was turned by the Void, it is a World Soul that was _naturally_ Void. Not only that, but the bronze skinned Titans are Life Titans, not Order, and Sargeras and Aggramer are actually Gold skinned Light Titans. Long story short, Aman'Thul is revealed as a liar and manipulator, a Titan civil conflict begins and either Sargeras or Aman'thul are the last boss of TLT.
As I'm sure you've noticed, this gets more and more stupid the more I type. I think things will actually get a LOT greyer with the Void as this saga progresses, which is why I think Azshara will be an ally, not an enemy. I also think that Iridikron wont be a final boss because he is small potatoes compared to the other beings. The one exception would be a void-infused Iridikron as a final boss in Midnight instead of An'shuul, with An'shuul being saved for future expansions.

The War Within: Iridikron
Midnight: Xal'atath
The Last Titan: Aman'thul
My speculation is that in TWW we get more context around Xal'atath and her goals, we lose and the Void Invasion starts.
Midnight is the Void Invasion, but we also deal with antagonist Light-based forces and the story focuses on the idea that no cosmological force is purely 'good' or purely 'evil'.
The Last Titan is basically the culmination of Azeroth's World Soul stage. The context of the story, up to this point, is that all these various cosmological forces want to lay claim to Azeroth, but Azeroth *herself* wants to determine her own fate, and we are her guardians versus these various forces. The story concludes with a 'Titan Civil War' at some point with Eonar leading the 'good' titans (who are willing to let Azeroth to determine her own fate) and the antagonistic Titans led by Aman'thul, who is the last boss and is defeated by us as Azeroth comes into being.
The immediate future of WoW following that ends up being a story arc of basically 'stabilizing' the various cosmological forces and setting up a sort of pantheon with representatives from each area of the cosmology.
I still wonder if 10.2 was really the end of dragonflight. Did the Wow team confirmed it? Because we still need content until next fall. Begin to think there will be a 10.3 or at least a patch that make transition between the two expansion.

How many times has the legion tried to kill us? Why did sargeras say "our crusade will prevail" to KJ in the 7.2 cinematic? Why did the legion corrupt the orcs to commit genocide on the draenei and then open the dark portal to have them commit genocide on the humans of azeroth? Sargeras corrupted medivh at the time so he knew what was happening and was fully involved with it.
Why is Argus so messed up as it is? Why did sargeras have its world soul so brutally tortured for so long? Why are his demons so cruel?
It doesn't matter if titans are bad guys. We've had ALOT of evidence to suggest sargeras is even worse than they are.

I know Sargeras's planet was said to turn into a hellscape upon his fel corruption but the rest of the pantheon are pure titans so in theory shouldn't Azeroth awaken as pure titan if we manage to keep her out of the clutches of the void lords/old gods influence? I don't think her emergence would necessary mean a violent interruption to life on the planet

I think we have to consider that "main villain" and "final boss" is not the same!
All lore left aside, at the end of the day, it`s a mmo and it must somehow work in a boss encounter. in the past, we had
-mighty lore characters that support/save us (e.g Tirion Fordring vs arthas etc)
-the villain is crippled before / killed after the fight by lore characters (e.g thrall using dragonsoul on deathwing etc)
-we fight a lesser boss to free/rescue/support/whatever lore charcters who kill the villain in a cinematic (e.g ending of legion)
when you go over all details and consider the fact that we always need someone on our side in order to beat the big bad guys, things can be nailed down to 2 or 3 possible outcomes.

Just a theory from all the hints we got sargeras will most likely not be the final boss what's the evidence that we kind of have he was trying to free Azeroth I don't remember where it's at but there is a globe of Azeroth with sargeras sword with three rings and one of them is being stopped by a sword which is causing azeroth's prison to weaken. And it's just a coincidence that the logo for the last Titan as Azeroth with rings around it so my theory is is that the Titans are bad sargeras knew about Azeroth and try to free her because he is also known for cleaving planets not stabbing them. And it is the same ring that the dragon incarnates was imprisoned in inside the first raid
Imagine the final Raid’s skybox is an awakened Azeroth combating Sargeras (or an equivalent threat depending on how the story shakes out) as we fight our way through the raid to activate something to help Azeroth (very rough idea) and it ends with a cinematic quality culmination fight.

I think Xal'atath will be the final boss of "The War Within". She is literally called "the Harbinger", she serves the Void directly and that would fit her death causing, or being followed up by, the major Void invasion through the Sunwell. I wouldn't be surprised if Xal'atath sacrifices herself willingly to make that happen (especially since that might not kill her - that's not her body, that's a dead Void Elf she's possessing).
I also think Irridikron will appear in at least one expansion before The Last Titan, though I don't think he'll be a raid boss until The Last Titan. And I don't think he'll be the final raid boss of any expansion, though he'll get the raid boss treatment.
Honestly hope they leave most major characters besides thrall and anduin outside the war within, I love the idea of the next generation of characters being made here shit like thrall's son & vereesa's kids. Baine sitting in the major city for the whole expansion and shit like that might not happen then idk tons of stuff they can do with it
Each titan represents its own element. Eonar - life. Sargeras - Chaos, Amantul - order, Argus - Death. Perhaps Azeroth will become the titan of darkness.
What if...Azeroth is the last Titan...but thats the end boss for us in that expansion? We have always been told that if Azeroth awakens, thats a bad thing for us. What if we fight our own planet to put it back to sleep in order to save ourselves?
we have iridikron. all we know about his story is that he is a primal dragon who wants to defeat order. okay. so he made a pact with the enemy of order: void. the representative of the void is xalatath. they are in league. nerubians joined them. we have these info. so we also know that the first raid’s final boss is the nerubian empress. that brings us that the final boss for the war within would be iridikron. he is the earth primal dragon and we are going inside the earth. that makes sense.
the end boss for midnight speculation would be like this: we know that we will banish the shadow and put an end to void incursions over azeroth. so strongly, the final boss is going to be xalatath or blizzard have decided to show us something huge and we are going to face a portion of a void lord’s power. that could be too.
the finale: the last titan should be azeroth herself. this world is a prison like lady sylvanas said. we are going to shatter that prison and the last titan will be awaken. that makes the world soul story into a saga. 25 years old azeroth lore must end like that.
If Blizzard goes the same way with the Voidlords and First Ones that it went with the Xel'Naga and Amon from Starcraft 2, that will suck. All this hype to see the most powerful and ancient beings just to find out they are a bunch of space squid potato things. They had better look cool. This game has been almost 20 years running with paid subscriptions, they owe us a little.

Wouldn't it make more sense if Xal'atath was the final boss of Midnight, a Void themed expansion? War Within will possibly have antagonist that is so far unknown.
Hope this makes sense but:
When we die, we go into soul form, our essence if you like floats about until we find our body, it could be true of Titans as well, their essence was saved and captured by Sargaras and kept in Antorus, until we freed them and then freed Eonar and Aggramar!
It's logical to assume that when they returned to Titan form or Body form that they regained all their powers, or at least their powers have come back over the years!
Having to fight a full powered Titan won't be easy and this vast conspiracy leads me to believe Sargaras will be involved!
But that being said, it could be taking the combined power of the pantheon to keep Sargaras bound!
I think they’re going to hold a main villain across all 3 throughout the saga. We might get a pseudo final boss near the end of each expansion but I think they’ll either build towards a big villain or intro the big bad early on with stages on how to dismantle the threat and each of the 3 expansions slowly chips away.
I don't worry at all because Elune will step in and save us in the end. Also, the very First Ones, in their great wisdom and glory, already predicted all raid bosses till the end of Warcraft time. We are safe 😊❤There is nothing to worry about.
we've dealt or will deal with a representative of each cosmological element that wanted the world soul at some point. Life, Order, the Light, and Void are the only ones that haven't really done so yet to a huge scale like this. Disorder (Burning Legion), Death (Jailer), we've all dealt with them in an expansion. Midnight might have the light and void clash on who gets the world soul. While The Last Titan might be with the remaining ones

With Expac1 & 2 Complete we head into Expac3 “The Last Titan. We find out that Sargaras has escaped his prison. Illidan returns with the pantheon giving us the news. This brings back a fan favorite character, and allows the Dragons /or/ Main Cast to confront the Titans about their altered truths. They can splinter (as was hinted in Dragonflight, but gives a good story plot for a patch or 2. This confrontation being similar to Algalon, with Aerothians defending their right to defend their planet themselves.
Bringing Sargeras back, he could return to his Burning Legion, now in shambles, but finds Sire Denathrius rebuilding things. Denathrius being the trickerster he is, could further manipulate Sargeras, or they could team up and become Beat Buds?! Azshara as a final boss doesnt make sense. We already fought her and defeated with void infused powers.
The difference is how the fight was laid out. Azshara needed us to release N’Zoth through pushing the use of the heart and do her fancy sea witch ritual to release him. Basically she was toying with us throughout the fight to force the use of the Heart of Azeroth. She really only started taking the fight seriously during the last stage (when she got the void powers asking N’Zoth for help . . .).
Like I don’t consider her gaining two void abilities in the fight as her being at full void power. Legit the only two void abilities she herself uses are in the last phase:
1. Void Touch
“Azshara will frequently cast
Void Touched at the tank, dealing a burst of shadow damage and leaving a debuff which reduces healing received by 10% for 30 seconds. This can stack.”
2. Nether Rift
“Azshara opens a rift on the ground that lasts for 2 minutes. Any player who stands within the rift takes a moderate amount of shadow damage every second.”
Basically, the way they can pull off (and I think it was intentionally set up this way) Azshara as a future boss is because she wasn’t actually trying to kill us during the fight until she realized she actually stood a chance of being defeated, she really didn’t have any void powers (kind of like N’zoth just tossed her two new abilities that she ended up losing after she was defeated), and we had supped up powers from the heart of Azeroth while fighting her.

BFA lead into Azshara, Old God and Titan/Azeroth lore while Shadowlands lead into Emerald Dream and cosmological forces, how are they filler? I’m not saying they’re good expansions or story but every expansion since Mists has had threads into the next expansion. They’re just marketing it as a roadmap now.

Xal'atath < Azshara < Sargeras seems the most logic succession of final bosses by what we currently know. Xal was already highlighted as the last boss of Warthin (Meltzen usually prefer to make clear who the final boss is to build hype around him/her, unlike Danuser), Azshara is both a champion of the void and THE elven character, related more or less with every single elf as the last supreme ruler of their race. I cannot see another final villain for Midnight, THE elven expansion AFAWK aside herself. Sargeras, well, nothing to say, even Metzen himself said for his team he was always set to be the true ending boss of WoW since the start.
