Isn't he from Louisiana? New Orleans? If not surrounding area? Jazz is big down there. There's also vids of him playing metal songs. Edit: I've been told it's North Carolina. Either way. Jazz is tight too.

This is the first video I see from your channel, and I'm 100% sure this won't be the last. Your energy and the way you express yourself is so genuine! It makes it sooo much more fun to watch. I'm writing, producing and composing a lot of music and I aspire to do a musical study (after my current study, because you know... Financial stability and stuff) I just have to say; You inspire the sh*t out of me. And I refuse to believe I'm the only one. So even though you probably won't see this comment (I hope you do); KEEP DOING WHAT YOU'RE DOING! This is precious. And honestly I do believe that if you stay close to yourself, your talent and personality will get you higher & further than you might hope! God Bless you!!❤
It's so amazing cause you can shred hard as fuck, but you took each one of these creators music and complemented them and gave them what they deserve. You are a true musician. You didn't show everything you can do - but your accents, buzz rolls, etc. Everything was placed with thought and consideration. This is why you continue to grow. Been around since 47.5k subs man!
Dude I don’t even play drums but I love this channel, you should consider doing a video of you just grooving with some bass. Would love to have it playing in the background of work and such.
This is what I as a drummer (opinion) would've done for the songs: 1st: Cross stick groove, ghosting with my palm on the snare 2nd: I would do a latin-ish clave type groove, it felt very bossa to me, idk, xD 3rd: MAJOR BRAZILIAN FEELS, it sounded like a song Im certain Ive hear before but idk the name of, if someone knows pls tell... :) 4th: Dilla all over it... I would do the quintuplet swing thing, and then add in the swung ghosted snare notes (Also i would totally noodle my hands all over the kit over this KEK) 5th: uh... PROGGERS 6th: Yup prolly dilla-ing over this one too... I feel like what I probably would do is very obvious, but hey, u like what u like, and I liked all of this, and I feel that my choices were things that I would enjoy doing as an artist!
I used to play drums when I was like 10 and I played it for like 3 years (then I stopped cause I chose fencing over drums, both where to much because I wasn't finding enough time to study) it's such a beautiful instrument, I'm so happy that there is someone who bring it on TH-cam in such a beautiful way. Thanks for all you do man❤️
Your intro was too long, I needed to get into the content so I could make a joke relating to the video while still putting up one shortly after the video had released
I loved the one with just the sax. The fact that it was empty because there was no bass, in fact there was nothing but sax and drums, and the fact that you guys played your instruments so fully to compliment that, made it sound incredible. It reminded me of a lot of sixty's jazz and swing. And I, also loved the one with just guitar as it reminded me a lot of Flatfoot56, one of my favorite bands of all time.
Your half time is underrated, Zack! Also they were all amazing but it was cool to hear you explain what you were going to play and then even when you played it, it was different again... REAL INSTRUMENTS FOR LIFE! Please do more of these, the inspiration is awesome!
The floating effect one was my favorite and 'Seven' was a close second. The second to last one is me if I could keep time, and overall it was a great watch. Lots of skill (from the subs too).
Just found your channel today your playing metal for first time video came up in my recommendations and now I’m obsessed with your channel man already watched 5 videos back to back. Keep it up man love your attitude

I love watching jazz drummers shredding to some metal! There's nothing a jazz drummer can't do! Solid drumming man, much love and respect from a Mexican metal drummer!
This is so fucking good, this guy could collab with anyone and hit it big. Ik he's eventually gotta step beyond youtube, it's not giving him what he really deserves

Why do I feel like Zack has the personality of a metal drummer but the skill of a jazz drummer?
Isn't he from Louisiana? New Orleans? If not surrounding area? Jazz is big down there. There's also vids of him playing metal songs.
Edit: I've been told it's North Carolina. Either way. Jazz is tight too.
Totally man. The drums are so aggressive, but with the nuance and skillfulness of a jazz player.
He has played both for bands
There's some great metal drummers, past and present; most are pretty unoriginal and not very skilled but to discount all of a genre is pretty stupid
