    I can't help it, I just love creeks and rivers...we don't have any here.
    Loved the stones you have found!
    We have loads of fireweed here. you can eat the young plants and the flowers. In Russia they sugar the roots and eat it as candy.

      I want to get out earlier next season to find some of the smaller plants to make tea and whatnot with. Maybe I can try making root candies as well ^^

I always enjoy it when you show all the different types of flowers. I looked up fireweed, thanks for showing that. Hahaha, thanks for knocking over the stacked rocks....not today hippies! 🤣

    Its a shame to see it all burned like that. Hopefully most of that material is still usable and not all fractured and dried and crumbly. That first agate you founs was gorgeous! Too bad to wasnt any bigger but it was still pretty! That last pile of the muticolored jasper was beautiful too! There looked like an abundance of material there but with the forest fires weve had, how much of it is still usable remains to be seen. Much of it looked like it was fractured and dried out and burned. Such a shame and a waste. But rhe colors were really beautiful! Orefon has some of the most beautiful and scenic forest lands and i hope we dont have the forest fires that weve had in past summers! Weve had lots of rain goind into it so fingers crossed that ut helps to combat the droughts and protects our forest's! Thanks for sharing what Oregon has to offer! Endless beauty!

    • @TheRogueRockhound
      @TheRogueRockhound  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Most of the surface stuff is unusable but it is a great indicator of where to dig. If you dig down +/- 18", the material is in great condition. Thanks Largent ^^

    The gravel bars along the river have mostly been picked pretty hard.
