Awesome channel, I love the Wii U. I picked up a white unit pretty cheap a while back. Gamepad works but unfortunately all I get on the console is a blinking blue light. Is that repairable?
Unfortunately my Wii U does not display on my TV, but I know it is connected and the gamepad works fine along with the console, I’ve tried with multiple TVs and still get the same result, maybe I could try this fix in the video, not sure what screwdriver it uses
These are just filters. they should just pass straight through. Not sure what they have inside of them though maybe some sort of resistor or something to that effect
Did you ever find a solution for the blue blinking light with no output? I saw in a previous video that you said you would "work on it later" but I don't believe there was an update
Does the hot air station work at 180ºC or higher? It is a doubt that always comes to me since with some components at that temperature it is impossible for me to remove them and I have to go up to 200ºC or something more. Thank you in advance for your clarification.
@niesz same issue. I tried both with nothing showing up on the TV and my gamepad is also not connected. I just found this channel and it looks awesome
@@niesz I tried composite and hdmi with no luck. And I know it's not the hdmi chip, as I "de-fused" the console(the new Wii u mod chip), and was able to get into the minute menu on my tv. So I believe it's actually my nand chip as it's a hynix unit. I'm working on replacing it with a microsd card as we speak
i got a super cheap wii u full set with gamepad for 15 dollars only issue is console powers on but no display nor connects to gamepad black screen of death only console powers on blue led and fan works any probable for for it???
If it lights up blue, then it is working. It could be stuck on composite output, or it could be a bad HDMI plug or cable. I would try the composite output to confirm it is working first.

You have to start somewhere, and I am still learning a lot too. Make a video on the attempt if you fix it or not and I would watch that and subscribe

My WiiU has the same problem! Did you put new electronic components where it was marked DA5 and DA8?
Yes, I replace them with parts from another board

That is a great idea you could try buying soldering kits to help you learn this skill as well

I always have to go higher with the hot air, so I would say no at 180 c
