And it is sosososo good...I finished reading it like an hour ago...#I'mMourning the end this duology...:"( I want one more book, someone tell Leigh Bardugo I want more...Lets start a petition.
+The Astonishing Ashley If there was an award for best book cover I'm sure Crooked Kingdom would win...Who did Leigh Bardugo sell her soul to to get such beautiful covers...Those are legit the most beautiful covers I have ever seen, followed by Red Queen and Lady Midnight and Winter....But honestly, I stared at that cover in absolute awe for like half an hour before I actually read it xD
The Astonishing Ashley I read that one like two years ago...I remember that I really loved it but I've forgotten most of what happened so I might re-read it after I finish re-reading the Six of Crows duology...Yes I'm re-reading it.
I just ordered Three Dark Crowns on Amazon to take with me on my fall break next week. It sounds a lot like Poison Study, and I've been binge-reading those books, so I'm super excited to read this one. It's been really catching my eye these past few days, so I'm going to give it a shot. And Halloween seems like the perfect time to read this book.
I love the School for Good and Evil! I recently bought the 3rd one as well. Can't wait to read it! I have bought so many books this last month--can't wait to do my book haul video!
I just received my book order today as well as some other books I've bought and they are To All the Boys I've Loved Before, Afterworlds, A Darker Shade of Magic, Daughter of Smoke and Bone, Obsidian, The Lost Hero and The Son of Neptune. I'm real excited
i've read to all the boys i loved before, the lost hero & the son of neptune. and i loveeeed the pjo books & I really liked jenny han's book too. i still need to read daughter of smoke and bone
Oh, the Southern Reach trilogy! I really enjoyed that series; loved how different it was, while having a very "old skool" sci-fi feel to it (reminded me of Ray Bradbury, somehow). The writing is excellent, the characters very interesting and the whole 'verse just very intriguing. Hope you like it as well. This past week I've finished The Watchmaker of Filigree Street by Natasha Pulley, which was absolutely *fantastic* as well as Doctor Sleep by Stephen King, which I really loved too. As for now, I've started The Sorcerer to the Crown by Zen Cho, which I'm quite enjoying so far...
I've picked up Gemina this month, my local bookstore happened to have it out way early so that was a surprise buy for me and it looks amazing. I obviously picked up Empire of Storms and just started that the other day. I've not bought anything else (though I've got some stuff out from the library) cause I really want to cut down on my book buying so that I can read the books I already own. Hope you get to enjoy all the books you got this month, and Vision in Silver sounds good, gotta love that slow burn romance.
Annihilation, Authority and Acceptance are absolutely brilliant! It's actually called the Southern Reach trilogy. Jeff Vandermeer is the best. They're really really weird, but in the best possible way. Area X is not really anything like Area 51. Also, they have a slow build, but hang on because things go increasingly, amazingly batshit crazy towards the end of each book.
Well Leigh Bardugo has hinted many times that she will likely do a Nikolai spin-off which I NEEEEDDD. Also, CK was so fantastic and I doubt I'll be able to read anything new for awhile uuuugh
*whispers* Leigh does have more books coming in the Grisha world. She said she's taking a break but she plans to come back to it but she also can't talk about it yet.
Vision in Silver sounds so much like a Coldest Girl in Coldtown by Holy Black. No books this month but my birthday is in October so just waiting for that!
Oh my gosh, I have wanted to read that x trilogy bind up for AGES! But my bookstore only ever has the bind up and I really enjoy the 3 individual book covers, which is such a dumb reason to put off buying it. But I also don't wanna carry around such a large book haha maybe I should just bite the bullet and buy it.
THE BOOK OF UNKNOWN AMERICANS is great! While the central plot isn't as concrete or cohesive the little snippets and stories of the people who live in the apartment are amazing! The last page of that book made me cry because as a daughter of immigrants that's completely how my parents felt. If you want more stories on immigrants and their journey to the U.S. I highly recommend "The Distance Between Us" by Reyna Grande (a memoir) as well as "Under the Feet of Jesus" by Helena Maria Viramontes!
Carmelina Ochoa well, if it has 4 books then it's definitely a series. What I meant it: there's gonna be a fourth book!? I thought it ended in the third
xD...When Crooked Kingdom arrived on my doorstep the other day I nearly cried, it was a day late but it arrived on my birthday so xD...I inhaled it, although I tried to savour it which is why it took me like three days to read xD...And it helped me recover from the book hangover A Torch Against The Night and Empire of Storms gave me...Kind of.
Ooooh! I've got "Vision in Silver" to read too. Loving this series. Have you read Anne Bishop's other series "The Black Jewels Trilogy?" So good! She's one of my favorite authors.
The Book of Unknown Americans is SO GOOD. it's less about the family's journey to the US and more about their community and experience living in the US and American intolerance. Grab some tissues.
It makes me so happy that you are reading a book like that. Past the whole political thing I'm glad you are willing to open your mind to understand the life of immigrants. Awesome book haul btw! I always screenshot the ones that catch my attention (:
I got the box set of the Fablehaven series by Brandon Mull and it is FANTASTIC! =D I just started the 4th one (there are 5 books)..I know you've been getting a lot of Brandon Mull books, do you have Fablehaven? Because you should differently read it =D
Red_Queen_of_Shadow-Hunters And_Crows if the issues in the ToG series are only "minor" to you, then damn I don't know what are major issues to you😳. No offense of course, we all have different opinions. For example I'd never ever EVER call that series even close to "masterpiece", considering the actually masterpieces we have in literature. I'd call it a joke, but oh well.
Iving Zuniga You might not agree with me, yes that's okay, but I really love the series and it has a lot of sentimental value to me and I still think it's really great. Yes, it's not a literary masterpiece but that's just the amount of love I feel for the Throne of Glass series, it is after all the reason I fell in love with reading in the first place. ***** I have read all the books and when comparing Heir of Fire and Queen od Shadows and Empire of Storms to the first two books I think it took a huge step up from there cause they are just a whole lot better. You can't judge the whole entire series as being bad without having read all the books at least...
Have you read Life After Life by Kate Atkinson? Its one of my favourite world war ll novels!I'm pretty sure you're going to love it. Pleeeaaaseeee read it.😆
I only started reading recently, would anyone be interested in suggesting me epic books that would motivate me to read more, I would prefer books that have three or more the crooked crows releases(I mean a series), Thanks in advance.
I'm supposed to be studying, but as soon as I saw this notification, I DROPPED EVERYTHING.
And OMFG Crooked Kingdom has red pages?!?!
Wait until you see it in person. Fucking gorgeous.
And it is sosososo good...I finished reading it like an hour ago...#I'mMourning the end this duology...:"( I want one more book, someone tell Leigh Bardugo I want more...Lets start a petition.

😁😁😁😁 I need to finish it right now! Luckily, I have not read the original trilogy so I'll have something else Grisha related to read afterwards.
The Astonishing Ashley I read that one like two years ago...I remember that I really loved it but I've forgotten most of what happened so I might re-read it after I finish re-reading the Six of Crows duology...Yes I'm re-reading it.
I got Throne of Glass this month and I'm so excited to read it and finally know what people are talking about!

I just received my book order today as well as some other books I've bought and they are To All the Boys I've Loved Before, Afterworlds, A Darker Shade of Magic, Daughter of Smoke and Bone, Obsidian, The Lost Hero and The Son of Neptune. I'm real excited

Oh, the Southern Reach trilogy! I really enjoyed that series; loved how different it was, while having a very "old skool" sci-fi feel to it (reminded me of Ray Bradbury, somehow). I KNOW THIS IS LATE BUT ITSSSS SOOO GOOODDDD!!!!!
I've picked up Gemina this month, my local bookstore happened to have it out way early so that was a surprise buy for me and it looks amazing. You literally have THE best book taste!! :)
I am SO excited for Crooked Kingdom!!!

Vision in Silver sounds so much like a Coldest Girl in Coldtown by Holy Black. No books this month but my birthday is in October so just waiting for that!

I love 'The Others' series. I just read Murder of Crows this month, it was epic.
I HAVE JUST FINISHED CROOKED KINGDOM AND I AM STILL NOT OVER IT!
Oh my gosh, I have wanted to read that x trilogy bind up for AGES! I've been stuck on empire of storms all month, it's not bad or anything, I'VE JUST BEEN SO BUSY!
Am I going to be able to understand Six of Crows if I hadn't read the Grisha trilogy first?

It makes me so happy that you are reading a book like that. Past the whole political thing I'm glad you are willing to open your mind to understand the life of immigrants. Awesome book haul btw! I always screenshot the ones that catch my attention (:
You have to read The Witcher. It's the best thing you'll read.

I got the box set of the Fablehaven series by Brandon Mull and it is FANTASTIC! =D I just started the 4th one (there are 5 books)..I know you've been getting a lot of Brandon Mull books, do you have Fablehaven? Because you should differently read it =D
she had read it
Crooked Kingdom yassssss
Is throne of glass still good ?
Apollo DA no
The Throne of Glass series is spectacular. Despite it's minor issues it's still in my opinion, damn close to a literary masterpiece.
Red_Queen_of_Shadow-Hunters And_Crows if the issues in the ToG series are only "minor" to you, then damn I don't know what are major issues to you😳.
