Wow!!!! I just came across this video. I haven't seen that guitar in nearly 40 years!!!! I worked for B.C. Rich in '83-'84 and remember when that guitar and Blackie's Widow bass were made. The shop was S. El Monte. Brings back a lot of memories of my time there. And, yes, Randy is a good guy,
I agree. I saw WASP on both tours with Piper and he was a huge part of the show. I still have those ticket stubs! Blackie should have stayed on bass or just added a third guitar.....but you know he would have never wanted to pay another salary. lol
I'm the Tom from that letter! I bought the guitar directly from Randy in 2001 and sold it ten years later in 2011 to the guy in TX mentioned in the video. Seeing this makes me miss it lol.
W.A.S.P also played in Anaheim at a little club called Radio City when I saw them as a kid. The club was on Ball Road in Anaheim. The club was like the size of a dive bar but a tad bigger. Saw many top bands in there.
Man that's too cool. Neal Moser Jr. Was a great friend of myself and many others. He had his apartment decorated with oddball bodies he and his dad had made. Cool to see this.
Many years ago a much younger version of myself played a Cammo painted BC Rich Warlock. It was over the top on all levels. I remember the name Screaming Leaming on the back. The guitar played like nothing I'd ever touched, it left an impression on me. Now I know the significance of what it was, and I kick my ASS FOR NOT PAYING THE $800 THE SHOP WANTED. Yeah, a US made BC custom shop guitar, and I didn't buy it. It was probably 1988/87 and the shop was in Decatur Alabama.
Such a badass guitar… went great with his pipe jet pack onstage. When Randy left WASP, thought for sure his solo band would be called “Pied Piper” lol… instead it was Animal.
@@lauriepoloni2668 I actually listened to an interview with Randy on Eddie trunk, where he said he quit after The Last Command tour because he was broke and in debt and Blackie bought him out of the band
I like my traditional shaped guitars/basses for sure but I also love the over the top ones as well. Currently my only bass I own is a 2008 B. C. Rich Warlock bass with the two P-bass style pickups
I was there when Unknown Hinson attacked Screaming Leamin at that Radio Shack...I screamed "By God,you're KILLING the man" but he he kept at it like some sort of deranged shrew...a grotesque site to behold
I met Randy at a guitar show in Ohio super nice guy. I saw that guitar up close it looked pretty much as it is in this video. A friend of mine in Fla owned Chris Holmes Budweiser star and blood drip star. So there are some great WASP guitars in private collections. Back in the early 2000s I was deep into collecting BC Rich, San Dimas Charvels, San Dimas Jackson guitars. Had a few rare Roscoe guitars from the 80s one was Joe Perry's Dr Death guitar which was #1 of only 12 made.
Love that guitar when I was in high school I did a oil painting of him with his guitar I got a "A" for it🤘💪 And if I ever got a chance to meet him which I probably won't I would offer it to him
Randy piper was approached by Blackie about the next album cover picture. When Randy seen the electric circus cover, he realized it was time to Leave WA.S.P He didn't want to stand in the shadow of Lawless. Blackie was upset when Randy quit the band. Randy is a very underrated Guitarist.
Most definitely one of the baddest customs out there....Steve vai's flames guitar and of course Mr. King of the cool guitars...Paul Stanley's holograph Hamer Scarab he sported on the heavens on fire video is the coolest looking one of all in my opinion....he also had leopards print bcrich eagle, zebra print flying v which I could never get a look at the headstock to see who's product it was ....think it looked like a Gibson v headstock but the body was more streamline than a gibson...let's not forget the shattered glass ibanez iceman....oh yeah creatures of the night saw him with a yellow/ black zebra print explorer or destroyer....black bc rich mockingbird with 2 rows of large rhinestones....damn he has got some bad ass guitars
Speaking of Swiss Picks, they’re my favorite plectrums. I use the atomic glow in the dark picks. My other favorite is Dragon Heart picks, by C. Whitney Guitars.
I'm not sure if Screamin' Leemin' did the multicolored crackle paint job on my custom Warlock bass...🤔 However, the *original* 1982 lineup of WASP was Blackie, Randy, myself and Tony. Photos by Don Adkins are out there on the internet. Randy validated it in one of his interviews, so does Chris Holmes.
Never been a fan a B.C. rich. I'm a Les Paul guitar player. But I've always wanted this one, or a copy of it, IF They exist. This thing is absolutely awesome 🤘🤘 WASP is one of my favorite band's. Thank you for this video. If I had a 100k sittin around I would definitely offer you that for this.
I owned it in the late 90s 2000s was actually trying to scrape up the cash to purchase back the guy had a 10,000 price on it and I heard death punch dude bought it.
I saw WASP in Seattle in 1984-85 with Kiss they Kicked Kisses ass , on our way back to Yakima we ran into the tour bus the Band was eating Breakfast Randy was off by himself in the dark eating by candle light it seemed strange but Blackie was not too friendly with us , it was obvious we where fans as we both had on our new concert shirts personally I lost interest in them after that . just recently started watching vids of Chris who I think got a raw deal from Blackie . just an old mans opinion that is a cool guitar.

Did you work with Tino, who's buffing+ at Anderson Guitarworks these days?
Yup! 🙂@@thomasfoytek7633
Had the posters when I was 11. For 38 years I've thought those were real pipes. 😄
I always thought Randy was the coolest cat in WASP back in the day.
To me, Randy was a big part of WASP. They were never really the same once he was gone.
True. An his voice is strongly similar to Blackie
I agree. I saw WASP on both tours with Piper and he was a huge part of the show. I still have those ticket stubs! Blackie should have stayed on bass or just added a third guitar.....but you know he would have never wanted to pay another salary. lol

@@FreeMTrider I agree. Once he changed to guitar it had a different feel.

This is freakin' awesome! for being that old and hand made (before CNC) this is an incredible masterwork seeing it close up.
I always thought it was actual pipes. Crazy what an amazing paint job can do to the eyes
Now that is a custom guitar. That headstock is crazy AND I thought it was real pipes too. Badass.
Loved the custom 80’s guitars. Piper’s is classic.
My first show 1984, with Iron Maiden an awesome experience at my young age back then.
wow...80's so uniques....i miss 80's stuff am 53 and a wasp fan till 1984

The Pipes baby !!! Yeah!! Classic W.A.S.P
Nice!
That is so cool! I remember seeing it live in Madison Wisconsin back in the day!
If the original line up stayed together wasp would have been huge.
Thank blackie for that
It was all about him,he ruined wasp.

Big Thanks for making this video and showing this Iconic Guitar! Wasp has always been one of my favorite bands!!
First time I heard these guys was on Sirius XM’s Hair Nation. Pretty tasteful guitar work, pretty outrageous guitar.
1st time i heard them was in the early 80s ,good to see someone who wasnt born when they came out appreciating them

Lita trashed the Budweiser guitar. Threw it in the street and then into the trash case and all. She destroyed that guitar. Common knowledge.
Why would Randy rid of this?
Thats so sick. Love that. unreal!

Their show this past Saturday was incredible!
I saw Wasp open up for Iron Maiden on the Power Slave Tour.
Woah! Irvine Meadows show?

One of the coolest guitars i have seen.
The BC Rich factory was in El Monte.

It would be exhausting playing that. 😀
That paint job is INSANE. It has ALWAYS looked like a guitar neck fused to some actual pipes.
I saw this guitar live at least once. Probably 2 or 3 times but those days are a blur 😅
Now I spent the whole day listening to WASP! 🤣🤣🤣
thats fucking wild

where is his naked lady guitar? that one was as cool as the pipes guitar
He had a naked lady guitar also!!!!
It makes me kinda sad that Randy had to part with this.
If guitars could talk
Letting Randy go was Blackies worst mistake
hey xmas coming up, can i have it 😁
Can't believe that's a paint job.
fuckin W.A.S.P. first tour man!
I'll pass on that
Tremolo??
Yeah, I know.. I fucked up. :)
Living proof tonewoods don't matter on a solid body electric guitar. Want to sell that?
He said it himself...money talks everything's for sale
It's a Maple centerblock with either Koa or Mahogany sides.. Sounds Killer !! :)
🤘❤️🤘
I offer 328$!
Add 2 zeros and we have a deal. ;)
Why would Randy sell this?? I guess none of these signature guitars mean anything to these guys
The gravy train doesn't last forever for these guys.. It's sad in that respect that some of their gear is sold to fans.
I'd rather call this one Fury Road...
The headstock just don't match.
Blackies ego ruined their early legacy.
Come on guys. You do not know what you are talking about!!! All of your reviews are so for off.
Amazing
They didn’t screw the tremelo into the pipes because there is no tremolo ha ha
