I’m happy Blackie is allowing these meet/greets to be recorded. I could listen to him talk all day. Very smart man and great insight into the past and present of the music industry
hi friend. You're absolutely right. I completely agree with you. the first time I saw and heard it, it was in my country in Portugal. It was one of the best concerts I've ever seen in my life... they came with the iron maiden, and in the first part of the concert, the w.a.s.p made everyone forget the maiden. a masterful voice and a beast on stage. thank you w.a.s.p
I saw him in Michigan in concert after that first album with Armored Saint. They were the opening act and they were the best. I didn't care about the other bands after they played. They were not happy about being the opening act, and so maybe it was their motivation to really knock it out of the park and be especially good over the others and they were. !! Wow!! Amazing voice and show.
I'm so glad so many people are posting videos of these meet and greets! I'm not able to make one myself and I like to see Blackie interact with fans, also a lot of the questions people ask are ones I would've asked.
In some recent interview, he did acknowledge the loss their overall impact suffered when the original four were no more. I agree and admire him admitting that
I always loved Blackie ever since the first album. It's so cool to see him in shape and alert. I wish him all the best ! That 16 minutes went by so fast !
Blackie is a walking, talking, living legend, whose done and seen it all, and has created some astounding music and lyrics in his lifetime so far....and it ain't over yet!! Looking forward to seeing WASP next March in Manchester, I cannot wait!! \m/
I was at the Show there the following night and it was one of my best metal concerts I've been at in a long time his voice was on point the whole night and not to mention the great performance from Armored Saint as well.
I heard John was out for a bit with an illness...how was the replacement singer? Not an AS fan but holy cow John's voice sounds amazing for being in the biz as long as he has.
@@jogranados2857 He could have elaborated more on how and why things went sour with Chris in his own words instead of using the metaphor of the friendship between them gone wrong twice, but that could have been a long story,so he went for the short version instead.
I would love to meet blackie. Been a fan of wasp since 87. And my favorite album of blackie's is the "Crimson idol" it truly is an amazing album. Not 1 bad song on it. Would just like to say to him, thank you.
He answers questions like a diplomat or something... where he assesses the question, gives the answer, goes to an example, then ties it all together in a very thoughtful and thorough way. Clearly a very intelligent person. Also one of the most unique and powerful singers and frontmen of all time! (Still wish he'd bring in Chris for any new projects, even if only for a couple of tracks, but whatever...)
@@AndrewTate2Prison Who cares really! Nobody would even be standing their for this questions and answers or even care what he had to say if he wasn't such and awesome metal singer!

I started listening to wasp at the age of 13.....im 52 now.....and he still has a amazing voice.....and I still listen to them....most singers lose their voices......but not him...
I love for lack of better words the multi layers depth and tone in his voice. This shit cranked puts chills down the spin, so you know it’s the good stuff.
He's so philosophical. I love that he took the time to let people ask him questions, and he spoke from the heart to answer them. I met him back stage in Waco, 84 when he was with Iron Maiden. All i remember, is that he was strikingly handsome and tall! Being a 6ft female, you take notice of a guy that's 6'5~ he was a stunning creature. I have followed his music ever since. He's a brilliant man, and equally as talented. Back then i looked at him in a different way, now he's the person you'd love to sit and have a long chat with. He has stories for days and days. :)

I've been a W.A.S.P. fan from day one. And I've been watching several of these interviews/meet n greets lately. Blackie (like a lot of us 80's rivet-heads) has matured a lot, and has a much different look on life. I'm wondering why there aren't more questions about the 'Golgotha' album. And I've heard there are some songs he simply won't perform live anymore.
I'd like to ask him why he hasn't put out an album since Golgotha. Michael Sweet can't put out an album (band, solo or project) fast enough...every 12 months or so. Time is ticking away on our idols. Blackie has wasted 7 years now without a new album (not an Idol retread) and went 6 years between Babylon and Golgotha. Time is ticking Blackie.
I think that day will come to be honest where Blackie would reach out to Chris or vice versa. Starts with talking but you have seen so muc,h of this. Eddie and Dave burried the hatchet, George Lynch and Don Dokken , Slash and Axl etc. Never Say Never. It's that first convo of exchanged apologies that could spark a reunion. I'm hopeful that it can happen 🤞 Would be great to see Blackie and Chris work together again
It would be awesome to see. But I think there is just too much bad blood in between the two. I think Chris Holmes never wants to join WASP again even if Blackie asked him to do so. It would be awesome to see people like Johnny Rod and Randy Piper return to wasp. At least Blackie and Johnny have never developed such a hateful relationship like Chris and Blackie did.
