Love your videos brother my wife and I are moving to Valencia. I AM STUCK IN THE USA TO FINISH MY MILITARY SERVICE SO AS SOON AS PHILIPPINES OPENS UP I'M THERE
Valencia seems like an overall clean, pleasant place. I’ve been monitoring temperatures for a while comparing Cebu City, Bohol and Dumaguete....it seems to be on average 4 degrees Fahrenheit cooler.
@@philippinesandbeyond36 Help me out bro. My Filipina wife wants to get a place back there bad. I'm not opposed at all. It's just the heat I can't take. Please explain, or even make a video of the temp difference in Valencia. Is it 4 degrees or 14 degrees? Really need to know. Thanks.
Temp is nice -- but -- the traffic noise - the roosters - & - the barking dogs - all the time (?) + maybe throw in a Karaoke here and there (?) -- all together - would drive me NUTS !
Not too many people ride bicycles here Miles. There is a Bicycle club that ride together here on Saturday mornings to Bacong. My guess is the heat, no bike lanes on the National Highway and Valencia is at a higher elevation than Dumaguete. Another reason is bikes are expensive here and only the rich can afford to buy. Hope this helps, thanks for the comment.
We been coming to Valencia on a weekly basis for the Sunday market since we moved to Duma so we finally decided to move here Dan.. We got a bit lucky and found a good rental.
@@philippinesandbeyond36 Yes, you found a nice place there, walking distance to the market, and still close enough to Dumaguete, if you need to go there. So you say you might go to Cebu City in the near future? How to you plan on going ? Ferry to Liloan , then bus, up the coast through Moalboal, Barili, to Car Car , and onward to the city?
We have taken the Ceres bus in the past, it's about a five and a half hour ride to Cebu City, but next time we will take either the night slow boat which departs around 10 pm and arrives in Cebu around 4 am or the fast boat that departs around 10am with a change of boat in Tagbilaran. Flying is another option, but more expensive. What's nice about living in Duma is you have many options of going to other islands due to it's central location in the country.
@@philippinesandbeyond36 That's right, just wondering because we are in Moalboal, when we visit my cousin in Valencia , we catch the bus just outside our door, then tricycle to the ferry, then jeepney to Valencia, then habel habel to my cousin's place. whole trip, is about 4 to 5 hours maybe. Maybe one day we can have a couple beers together.
There are occasional scheduled brown outs that can last 4-8 hours and there are occasional unscheduled brownouts that may last from 20 minutes to a couple of hours. I live in Valencia and it is about 8-10 degrees cooler than Dumaguete City proper.Since I moved here 2 years ago, I have never used my aircon.
@12:13 your wife told you let's go to the other side of the street. I've noticed most Filipinos don't know how to properly walk on busy public roads. They walk with their backs to traffic, instead of walking towards traffic like you were doing so you can actually see what's coming at you.
How is trading going? and how long you been trading crude oil, gold, natural gas ok commodity how long have been trading commodity and how is your what broker do you use? I hope things are well with your wife?
We are doing well Michael. I invest in sector funds that are ties to certain commodities and stock index funds funds. I was a floor broker (local) at the CBOT back in the 80's and 90's. Trading funds enable me to sleep at night. lol!
I can't wait to move to Valencia.
Nice place to live. You won't regret it. Thanks for the comment.

You get used to it. We are lucky where we live as our neighbors don't do Karaoke. Thanks for the comment.
I don't see any people riding bicycles. Are there any? Valencia looks great..
