Joe Hisaishi & 9 Cellos 2003 Etude & Encore Tour. Performing at Tokyo Opera City concert hall at 4/16/2003
So touching....... Joe.........I love u !
Love the expression on his face.
how someone cannot be moved by music this good, must have no connection to their soul or something... trying not to cry like a baby.. but man, this is just beautiful. Must locate all his albums.
He is magic.
This is no distracting himself, 9 cellos are like a small orchestra, so he directs them ;)
La pioggia means the rain....listening to this is like listening to the gentle drops of fresh summer rain falling on soft, green grass...
Joe Hisaishi's music is WONDERFUL.
Absolutely amazing.
His music moves me.
Joe hisaishi = genious+ awesome+bravo!
its pieces like these that make me want to become a musician
so simple yet higly effective and emotiononal
wonderful cello
La pioggia means tht rain will wash me away... This song really washes me away. Love that song :)
more than perfect
yet its only incredible people like him who can make the music have feeling, so magical... its gorgeous..
He is like magic.
this is very soft, seems like telling a story. the whole part smoothly goes on and on......fabulous
Who doesn't? *_* Talent like his only comes around once every few centuries. He's amazing.
The first time I listened to his music is from Laputa when I was really young and fell in love with his music. There are depths in each notes and you can feel the flow of the notes which builds this beautiful piece of music.
Emotiva, tierna, embolvente, relajante y conmovedora.....
The more i listen to this the more I fall in love with it.
By the first notes he had my crying! I love u Joe!
Made me sob.
I listened to this before a funeral and it touched my very soul.
just feel it and it shall come by itself
Hisaishi Wins.....Flawless Victory.
I have listened to this so many times. It is one of my most favorites.
Bravo!!
Wow, i got goosebumps all over my body listening to that song, Joe Hisaishi never ceases to amaze me with his music. Wonderful composer! I could sit around all day and listen to his music. Would give anything to see him in concert!
an amazing example of Music......so sweet,so emotional.....
the ost is the best thing on animes it make them so touchable i mean on for example :peach girl,suzuka,koi kaze and even death note i cried when the sad songs came on a good climax. and spirited away is another example beyond others
those who love this music, i agree. The sad news is there are those out there who can't understand the feelings in music such as this, those who think they understand music like rock and row or rap understand nothing. Only the kinds of music can be found in these kind of music- I am a trumpet player in a band so I understand the feelings that are playing from music like Joe hisaishi.
so beautiful
makes me want to cry
That is probably the first time I've ever seen someone able to conduct and play the piano at the same time.
This guy is incredible! i only heard about this guy from the ghibli films- but he deserves to be much more well known than that- my music teacher had never heard of him!
I love cello solos. Including this one :)
is a good music.
wonderful wonderful wonderful wonderful WONDERFUL MY GOD Wonderful wonderful so wonderful!!
meravigliosa questa pioggia...
i love it
grazie Joe! Sei fantastico
Absolutely gorgeous....
simply beautiful and touches my soul
no complicated rhythm, it lights the simplest thing in our heart,
i'd rather not clap my hands and let the atmosphere lasts long.
this guy is a genious.
this one and massanori takumi
speachless
this is the first time I cry cause of a song. it's so touching and wonderfull. can't discribe

this is wonderful. Hisaishi Joe is a AMAZING person. just saying~
LOve the cello solo
This song is the theme song for a movie called "Shigure no Ki". The movie starred two of Japan's most famous actors, Tetsuya Watari and Sayuri Yoshinaga, in the lead roles. It is a sad love story for adults. This song was played in the scene where they walked along the approach to "Jojakkoji Temple" under the dancing autumn leaves. One of the main actors, Tetsuya Watari, passed away in August this year. I hope everyone in the world will watch this film.
me encanto :)
Beautiful~
for me have a joe hisaishi's music title in italian is an honor! Love from italy!

3 people couldn't bare the sound, because it was too damn good!
Bellissimo
My computer froze after "liking" this video so much xP
i like the squeky noise in 0:0
You know what's funny? It seems American audiences are the only ones who scream, whistle, and whoop as well as applaud at the end of a performance. Recently I was at Dragon*Con at a Tom Felton panel, and one of the first things he said when he came out was "I love how you Americans scream!" (or something to that affect). I've been noticing ever since that audiences in other countries generally tend to just politely clap XD
@xinnianhao i whish i could rate this 100 billion times plus infinity plus ONE! OH. WHAT NOW?!
love it :)
This is the first time I have actually seen a top comment remaining accurate on the number of dislikes, after more than 1 year. Impressive music impressed them haters =D
doesn't he? he seems to really love the piano. i wish i could play like him...
One word to say
Bravo.

Es tan bonita...
well said
@pito17sa
That's the logo for the specific brand of concert style grand piano Mr. Hisaishi is playing. I did a Google search for "concert grand piano logos", and the image looks similar to what is used on a "Steinway & Sons" model.
it so wouldn't be as good! love hisaishi!
Me too ^_^
lol 4:06 he totally flicked off everyone who was watching. despite that, amazing performance I'd kill for to be there... literally.
he was probably like oh shit i forgot i'm conducting hahah... someone so deep into the music like that.. just damnnn
you're probably right... :)
Where does one find touring information? Does Mr. Hisaishi ever come to the United States? I don't see why he would, however. He's obviously a god in his country. One can dream....
love this song...but y i cant find it in this piano and cello version...i can only get it in the piano version...
@chingshine It means "rain". It's italian :-)
HE NEEDS TO COME TO AMERICA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! D':
@clocksmith Me too :)

3 people have a different opinions and tastes
I love Joe Hisaishi and his one from the greats of music, but don't be please dictatorial and narrow-minded. I'm saying that 'cause I always notice people who make fun of that all time and hates who doesn't like the same thing they like!.
@futainochi1 thanks a lot :))
i think those 3 people just missed the like button :)
"The rain" in italian
if anyone wants La Pioggia for solo piano pm me
wait a sec, didn't he already write a song called the rain?
3 people were looking for justin beiber...
Not to be annoying, but it is spelled as cello.
