This is such a great way of explaining such a seemingly simple, yet richly symbolic and foundational story of our faith. I love the way you create something beautiful and poetic out of your awesome thoughts to glorify God and point to his Truth. I’ve been watching more of your videos, and they have so far made me think in a different way about the stories and verses I’ve grown up knowing. Your gift is such a great gift from God to me!
im new here and found this on YouVersion. I am amazed at how revealing this actually is! I remembered what Ravi Z also said about this "we shouldnt play God-- being the referencing point of all absolutes." Now your teaching draw me even deeper as to understanding that we conscious on actually playing God or atleast in Eve's mind... to please God to meet the end without God's means. I am in awe of this teaching!
thank you David and your team (if you do have)! please stay humble for we know that it is God that raises us in His glory in His time. keep preaching, teaching! i love what im learning.
I enjoy David's Spoken Gospel ministry. Though when using any commentary, we should each seek to understand the text for ourselves as no commentary is perfect. Eve's conscious choice to go against God's command was there, though it did seem that David somewhat downplayed the deception part - the fact that the Bible clearly says that Eve was deceived in 2 Corinth 11:3. Of course, the deception set in because she chose to engage with the serpent so she made a bad choice! We must guard against becoming deceived by holding onto truth. She let go of truth.
Really appreciate the time and effort you put into this. Such a refreshing and artistic way of edifying the Body. Can't wait to see God's blessings expand your reach brother
Just wow. This does bring a whole new perspective to understanding the original sin. It doesn't limit it to disobedience alone or 'just because', but sometimes thinking our actions may justify disobedience because we think our way is probably best, thus losing faith in our main caretaker, God himself.
Awesome work, i just got subscribed to your channel and i love it. I love learning about the Goodness of God and Learning more about following the word of God
Dude, I was getting ready to slam your back out until about half-way in, when I began to see the wisdom of your interpretive application (I don't know if that's a thing, but it conveys what I mean! Lol!). So far, I love your work. Wish you had all the "Bible Explains" in a playlist, in order. I really like those. You remind me a lot of the Bible Project, another fantastic channel, very similar to yours. I'm sure you get that a lot, so I apologize. But I like the totally different styles, live action vs animation. The choreography of this dramatic teaching media is quite good, and the actors are as all actors should be: believable in their roles. I don't recall if you've said who the actors are, but if they're amateurs, they're darn good amateurs! Everything about it is original...although, if I had to say, I am a _little bit_ curious to know if any of your creative team is familiar with _Godspell_ ? And if so, did it influence their creative choices? Thanks, and God bless!
Wasn't Eve's sin the first sin that became inherent sin... As lucifer was the fisrt to sin when he became jealous or envious (of God) which is what led him to be thrown out of heaven?
Excellent teaching. I've been dealing with the stigma/interpretation that Eve was seduced in a sexual spirit way and rgen seduced Adam likewise. I see that now as a far-reaching, non-Biblical constraint in understanding the true root of sin. Wanting to do what is not our job to do. We must let God reign in His Kingdom and follow His lead.
Sin is transgression against the law. Since Adam and Eve were not under a covenant with God, they did not sin, for sin is transgression against the law. Therefore they were not cursed (condemned) with a fallen nature, they were punished and exiled
Travis Routh 🤔 no sir, sin is transgression against the Mosaic Law, a covenant between Moses, Israel and God based on obedience. No where in the Old Testament does god say Adam sinned. It is not until the New Testament that Paul commits heresy claiming “all have sinned due to Adam.” Which is not true. The serpent was cursed (condemned) not Adam. Adam was punished, not cursed with a fallen nature. For the descendants of the father does not inherit the father’s inequities.
@@chosenskeptic5319 I'm confused. Paul committed heresy? Paul was under the influence of the Holy Spirit when he wrote down those words. The bible says that through one man sin entered into the world and death. That man was Adam. Also you say sin is transgression against the law but who is the giver of the law? God
Travis Routh 🤔 only under a covenant is it transgression against god. Paul commits heresy against the Old Testament scriptures when he makes claims that are not in the Hebrew Scriptures. The one man who brought sin aka second death into the world is Moses at Mt. Sinai, not Adam. Adam was not under a covenant with god, that’s why Adam could not repent since there was no transgression to punish, no law.
@@chosenskeptic5319 Have you never heard of the Adamic covenant? Was Lucifer in a covenant with God? I don't think so which meant he sinned without having a covenant with God. Also you're saying that the Holy Spirit telling Paul what to write was contradictitory of the old testament is blasphemy. The second death is what occurs when hell and death will be cast into the lake of fire

Rejoice in God and enjoy the gift of Jesus to avoid sin.

Let GOD be God
Seems to soften the severity of sin and plain disobedience

Wow, this was amazing. It really put genesis and sin into perspective.
Interesting perspective.

This was great!
I love your explain.. but no one answer my question.
Interesting thoughts. The background music is distracting.

Where was this filmed?
In the Myriad Botanical Gardens in downtown Oklahoma City. Beautiful location!
