  • Karadantu (fried gram sweet)
    Ingredients - measurement is 1:1, be it a cup or glass
    Fried gram, brown demarara sugar or white sugar, cardomom, desicated dry coconut for garnish
    In a hot pan, add in fried gram & fry it for a few minutes, just warm, then transfer into a plate to cool it down for some time
    After it cools down, add 3 - 4 cardomom & make it into a fine powder. Keep it ready
    Then grease any plate or a tray of your wish with ghee & keep it ready.
    After that, in the hot pan/ wok, add in white sugar as per your wish.....I have taken brown demarara sugar for this time,
    Then 🫗 pour in a glass of required water to make a sugar syrup, keep stirring continuously until the sugar dissolves completely & comes to a single string.
    Once you get single string or stickiness, just add in fried gram powder immediately and keep stirring continuously for some time.
    Keep stirring until it becomes a bit thick and starts leaving the pan/wok by itself. Then pour it immediately into a greased plate and garnish with desicated dry coconut and after 5 minutes cut into square or diamond shape of your choice. It is ready
