    Nicceee video… I’ve been to the abbey in Limoux where these wines were reportedly discovered. I must admit that I dislike a lot of Pet Nats today unless they are from reputable producers or those that are disgorged - nothing makes me sadder than opening a bottle and losing a third of it…

      😂😂 It is so funny because they have grown on me, and nowadays I love that style a lot. What do You mean “loosing a third of it..”? Do You loose it because of the foam or sediment? I just never had such a situation. 😞😉

      I think I know what he’s talking about! I saw a wine expert on here talking about the Pet Nat method and at a certain winery they did loose a 3rd of it. I don’t think they used math like I do when I make wine the Traditional method because you do need to know when is a good time to bottle and when it’s not. My 2 cents anyway!

    Very interssting. This is news for me.
    I have tasted several vintage champgnes but petnat i havent heard about before. I have to see if i can find it in Denmark where i live. Any recommendations?

      Sorry for me asking, is it Monopoly in Denmark? If not, then maybe retailers that specialises more in natural or sustainable wines might have pet-nat. 🍾

      @@NoSediment No there is no monoploly in Denmark. In sweden there is and i live in Helsingør. Only 20 minutes by boat to sweden so many swedish people come here to buy cheap wines and beers and get drunk😁.Of course there is also some who buy better wines.Anyway thanks for the answer. I do some research from retailers

    Are pet nat wines clarified and filtered?

    • @NoSediment
      @NoSediment  ปีที่แล้ว

      No, usually they are not. 🤷‍♀️

      @@NoSediment One more question 😅 are you italian?

    • @NoSediment
      @NoSediment  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They should be vegan, but if I want to be completely honest, that very much depends on each specific label. It is just that for white wines they almost never use ‘animal world’ products for clarification. If, however, it is pink, it might be that red wine is added, and red wine can sometimes be clarified with egg white or isinglass. But as I said, to be completely honest, it depends on each producer, label, etc.

    I think petnat is a semi-finished wine. I accept that it exists, but I don't acknowledge it. :)
