Few guitarists have the tasty touch and tone of Michael, he will be forever missed.
A shame so many of the artists I find of Blues music I really enjoy have already passed on. Enjoy the times you get to see somebody live. It may be your only time or God forbid their last time.
He was a great guy ! I use to work with him back in the day before he got his deal with Alligator Records. He's had a huge amount of talent, and he was super humble. You don't see that in most people, it never went to his head ! He was the same guy every time you saw him. RIP old friend ! You will be missed.
I was at this show. Toward the end I was standing in front of him sobbing because of what he put out. I loved this man, what a heart. Miss him sooooo much!
master of blues..this guy play amazing, with feeling and love..peace
He was destined to fill the opening left when 'the Great Albert King' departed this veil of tears.
WOW, how we miss the Iron man!
THE much loved Michael Burks, a great guitarist, singer and man, missed by all in the rock blues community!!!!

Sounds like Kirk Fletcher, but probably the otherway around. Also the Albert King influence is definitely there!
That's a good one
He channeled Albert!
Channelling Albert King.
GRAZIE MILLE A TH-cam
Voice sounds just like Alberts . Guitar's not bad either ! 😉🎸👍
In 33 days, he was gone! Be ready y'all!!
That is very sad, as the result of a heart attack.
Anybody know where I can learn this song? I think it's in key of Gm (for us I guess because his tuning was different?). A starting point would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Michael Gillman it’s all over utube. Or google it. You’ll have to get the chords and improvise the lead.
@@Utube-g3g The tutorials I saw were all lacking. Guess I'll have to do this one by ear!
4 assholes until now didn't got the message and voted thumbs down. May God bless these poor bastards, and save their souls. Amen. ♫
How did this Soulful cat crossover
What kind of guitar does he play?
letitsnowization Don't know if you ever got a response. That is a Kauer guitar he is playing. I am pretty sure it was made custom for him. I believe he had two identical Kauers he would trade off if he broke a string or if one had a problem of any kind. He was a master.
