I’ve been to Ao Nang A couple of times already, and I’m going again in July 2023. Having visited most other tourist areas in Thailand, i.e. Bangkok, Chang Mai Phuket Pattaya etc, Ao Nang Is definitely the best all-rounder. Not too busy. Just enough activity not overpriced and plenty to do. The beach is not the best, but you have the best islands in Thailand and easy boat ride away.
Have you been to Ao Nang before? What did you think? Would you visit again? We love it. It's so chilled during the day but lively enough in the evening without being too hectic.
We arrive there shortly. Any recommendations of things to do? I was thinking of the island tours by boat but we’re going to Phi Phi next and I just watched your video there. Seems cheaper and less travel time.
@@AlwaysonaJourney Hi Andrew, i am fine just busy working a lot. I have a business trip coming next month in Saigon, Vietnam and 3 days free so thinking flying to Bangkok for relaxation
a beautiful part of Thailand. I recommend taking one of the ferrys from Phuket pier over to Ao Nang. What a pleasant trip as you motor by small islands, rock outcroppings etc. Great little food eateries all up and down the main street.
I love both but for me there's more to see and do in Phuket. It's a hard choice. I recommend splitting the trip between both if that's possible. Krabi is less touristy however there are also less touristy spots in Phuket such as Cape Panwa.
Ao nang hás come up so much, first time I went was 12 years ago and it had just 1 bar, ive been back since. can you tell me where these little night life bars are. I know all of the strip so if you just pinpoint, cheers
I stayed there last year for three months and loved it. If you like a laid back pace then I think a month is good but I don't think a month would suit everyone as a lot of people like exploring other places.
get yourself one of the best burgers in Krabi at Beats and Burgers bar restaurant right at the end of this soi RCA the one at the beginning of the video.

Hi we are coming to Thailand in a few weeks. Would you recommend Phuket or Krabi as your base? We are in our 50s !

@@TheCypherkey I really liked it Aaron.. The rooftop pool is very nice

Thank you. Make sure you head over to Railay for the day also. It only takes 20 minutes to get there on a longtail boat
Looks nice, was thinking of a month in Oct. Woudl you say 1 month is too long there?

@@AlwaysonaJourney what's the weather like in Oct. I know its getting towards the end of the rainy season?
It's unpredictable. There can still be a lot of rain in October but mixed with sunny days.

Well spotted. I injured my lower back at the gym the day before recording this video so I was in a bit of pain. That's not my usual walking style.
