I guess it isnt really a small rig😂

The 120 is superior in every working condition and only has one small advantage which is size. In the studio, most people don't care about weight or portability. But if I go outside the studio, I would be usually shooting outside. which 120 watts and more lumen power it going to be primary and in this case neither of these lights would work for me. I would buy the SmallRig RC 120D because it will take a battery. But even then, specs matter and CRI and TLCI may be of concern for someone as well as battery size/life

For us working professional, is function over form. If I can rig those tiny 60w anywhere in set and just use a powerbank, that's a massive win. Also I can fit 4 of those 60w lights in my pelican and I'm all set.

Love your videos man, I’m 18 and you inspired me to get into photography. I’m looking into getting a camera now. I love more budget oriented videos

You know, depends on your goals. If you're doing video production, you'd prefer smallrig (or any other), because the bigger the light the greater the cooling system it has.

Some of you were pointing out that a 100x or a 120d would be a better option, and in some cases that might be true. Remember that for some applications size is super important, and for others space is unlimited and max brightness is most important.

If price is most important go for smth used but high quality.May not have all the cool festures but what was good ten years ago should still be good

Zhiyun lights are excellent. I own a couple and they’ve never let me down. My only criticism is that they run a bit hot.

Thing is that light isn’t going to be much smaller by the time you have added modifiers to it. I’d rather save my money and get something that is more versatile for any possible condition!

Which lights are the best buy to get rolling - VILTROX VL-162T CRI95+, YONGNUO YN 300 II or NEEWER's Bi-Color 660 LED Video Lights???

Yeah it also comes down to features and build quality. The green screen kits i.e. are a real bargain with tons of lights, but they have no adjustability, just static lights. Then the hardware itself, and how quick and easy it is to setup is major for a pro. Imagine being out away from power, that's where the USB power can be big for someone that needs to be prepared. Also being able to transport them easily like those little lights, all important points to consider.

Its always better to have a more powerful light. Better to have your massive light at 50% than your small light at 100%.
The smallrig could also be powered via V Mount.

Right. I hate his biased opinion. Several comparisons and not one mentions how its main function even performs.

      Not always true. Having powerful
l lights at a low percentage can give color rendition issues. And it has to do a lot with the dimming to. You could have more of a precise dimming curve with a small light. :D love the beafy 1200d's though.

"It's always better to have a more powerful light." Not if you have to carry it on your back! Different tools for different applications.

It's just about the same as comparing two computers at the same pricetag, one really powerful but in form of a desktop and one less powerful but being a laptop can be used anywhere

    60w vs.120w have a big difference....
This is just like "Size vs. Power"....
If you do not need a powerful light and you need a space, then buy the 60w....But if you always need a powerful light then buy the 120w....

If you're trying to become a professional photographer go get the big one.
If you're trying to make should a TikTok's you go with neither and get something for less than $50 on Amazon which will work just as well for your purposes.
No matter what there is no point in buying that little piece of shit.
