That’s the thing about ultra-polishing like this. Everything has to have the pov and feeling in mind, and the moment you move out of it, there it all goes.
On the contrary, from a dev perspective, this is completely FINISHED. Everything unnecessary thing that shouldn't be seen in the game camera should be removed to crunch the performance therefore optimizing it more for lower-spec hardware.
10:05 Those are gravity flip and magnetize switches from LIMBO, used in several puzzles. I guess the implication is that the sinister organization invented these.
I think that organization built that factory in limbo to try to stop the boy from reaching the end by inventing those gravity switch and magnet switch to block his path (the magnet switch is used to turn off the magnets holding the huge blocks blocking the way)
Would love to see three things: 1) the size/scope of the shockwave area and where the waves originate from; 2) the final orb room and what's inside the giant orb; and 3) the size/scope of the beach at the end.
10:07, those are some of the switch types found in Limbo (those being the magnet and gravity switches) though I'm not sure what that third thing is, probably just a random office apparatus

I use Unity and the colored cubes are probably used to test the material that seem to use additive opacity that adds the background color to the material color. So they probably did that for the colored tubes to make it look like has liquid in it as a simple lighting trick.
It might also be some kind of gameobject that holds code for some things in the scene. But I think your probably right with your theory because you would normaly visualise them with gizmos, which can only be seen in the editor and not the final build of the game.
Great video slippy. In the few hours i played of inside i never even noticed the Easter eggs you pointed out. So thanks for showing them and showing them closer up.

JESUS. shared with us so much of how playdead actually constructed the game. Serious helped the game im making rn. and also, about the red green and blue box thing, i think its due to chromatic aberration. it changes/maps white (i think?) to be sort of separated into rgb, so like maybe the boxes and wires where white and due to the chromatic aberration post processing effect changed it somewhat to rgb.

The signs/symbols next to the screwdriver are what show up in Limbo. I just played both back-to-back and spent many hours in Limbo getting that frustrating trophy of beating it with 5 or less deaths, and there are signs for some of the puzzles. Specifically the magnet "u" shaped one for attracting metal stuff, and the up and down arrows for the gravity change. They were paired together for one puzzle where you have to get one giant block to stick up on the ceiling while the other stays down so you can climb across and proceed to the next area. So maybe there's a hint that's referencing that puzzle/chapter from Limbo. Who knows.
For the chase part I actually saw it but he wasn’t glitching out XD. Good video as always! Perhaps the boy is the cog that keeps the gears moving. The things only seem to happen properly when the boy is in sight of it, or also known as the player controlling the boy.

The Printer is printing out DNA Markers -- LOL I just re-watched that section about the printer - 1 - it could be a reference to the PC Master Race - Hence the DNA Markers printing out Differently for the PC or the PS4 2 - or it could be a Clue as to what the Monster is in the game. only way to know for sure is to - do what you are doing and take screen shots of the printer printing out the DNA Markers - Put the Screen shots together and match them to a DNA database online. And don't be fooled - it's not the black lines on the paper you look at , it's the white ones that are the markers.
Hey thanks for the comment. Interesting stuff! There's a community on Steam working on the mystery behind the printer. I think someone already marked the lines/dashes and dots for it but not sure if it they got any further!
The printer is printing out gibberish for the first 15 seconds. For PC/PS4 & XBox, it then switches to printing a single line of 32 char code. It prints a different line each time you visit the printer. There are 32 different lines. The lines need to be rearranged to form ASCII-like art. Embedded in the the art is another cipher that then must be solved to deduce a passphrase. The passphrase is then entered into the Playdead website in the field presented when you press the now-removed printer icon. This would yield an image that had other puzzles encoded in it, etc, etc, and down the rabbit hole you go. The PC code is identical to the PS4 code, and the solution was discovered with a lucky guess based on the solutions of the XBox and other platforms. The cipher itself remains uncracked, but we have forever to bash our heads against it. We will solve it eventually, believe.
Thank you for taking my request ^.^ it's a amazing video as always. This game is really good but also very very creepy at some point. The story is kinda written in players head because everyone has different interpretations of it.
