My hair was pretty dry in the beginning of the video because it was 3 day old hair without styling products (conditioner only). Deva Cut stylists usually want your hair to be clean, dried and with little products so they can see your curl pattern :)

OMG your hair is soooooooooo beautiful I just love those curls you have. I'm so sorry that the Shea moisture black castor oil was the culprit to your issue. I just had a devacut and it was literally a total bomb. You definitely have to see the video. I almost cried it took me 5 washes to get the crap that she used out of my hair.

Found this information watching another TH-camr that the Shea moisture black castor oil line has silicone in it that is what is causing the clay feeling you mentioned.

What a difference!!! I only get Devacuts myself and I’ve been so tempted to actually get the style you have with the fringe in front. Are you happy you went that route?

Eileen Grier you should do it! Im always surprised and how much better It looks after a Deva cut. I personally love the fringe look!! I’ve since cut my hair short but I’m still rocking fringe :) I’ll probably post a video later.
