I could tell it was a Tanzer the moment I saw it. I currently sail a Columbia 28, but my previous boat was a fixed keel Tanzer 22. Nimble and fast. You will love the loose foot sail for shape and performance. I got a new one from Precision the last year I sailed that boat. The down side is that, without lazy jacks, trying to flake the sail on the boom in anything but calm air can be a bear to get used to. As soon as possible I will be getting one for my Columbia. I'm that sold on them. Happy sailing.

Did my time on Lake Erie at Jolly Roger Sailing Club and loved all off it. Dad trained me on a Thistle 5.22m very fun has the sail area of a CATALINA 22 with a shoot, have had my try at more boats than I can remember! I do rember him yelling at me to sheet in the sail all the time and gibe. Now I am on a go fast gas boat with kids and they love it! Sent my kids to sail camp at a local sailing club Lazer class. My kids thought they were slow until they got in one. Fall blow out on lake Erie at Toledo Beach check it out your kind of fun. Your videos are great and make me feel good god bless you and thank you for your time! JB

I have a Precision main on my boat and it works great. Designer I worked with set it up for handling the always changing winds of Lake Superior. The loose foot makes trimming very easy and I think you will really like it. Looking forward to seeing your Great Lakes adventures.

Hi Taylor, I hope we get to see some awesome Lake Huron sailing, all the Caribbean guys are shut down for hurricane season and you know what so what better time to show of the Canadian lakes , and no salt water too. And bottom paint hardly matters in fresh water but it does stop the skim and slim sticking hard to the gelcoat , so just a cheap hard type bottom paint is all you need next time. Cheers Warren

I sailed up the eastern side of Lake Huron last summer. Didn't get to stop in Bayfield, but we did stop in Goderich, Kincardine, and Port Elgin. Such a beautiful area. I particularly liked Kincardine, but the little towns all along the way are great. Were it not for the pandemic I'd have gone back up this summer and tried to get up to the North Channel. You'll have some wonderful destinations to sail to in Somerset. Enjoy!

Hankon Taylor!!! It's going to be fine. They can run a furler. I think you could ask your subscribers if they have any gear. I bet a furler and a gallon of bottom paint would magically appear. The Tanzer 26 is a great, safe boat. One of my favorites. Isn't fresh water spray weird when you've been out in the salt for so long.

Me too! 😊I started in a van too.. 4 years in a van in the mountains, 3 yrs on a sailboat, tropical isle so far.. I dont regret a second of it😊

I too never liked watching my boat get launched from the lift. The swaying was always disconcerting! Good to see you back in Canada and on Lake Huron.
