Taylor, thank you for sharing your adventures with us. I have noticed in your sailing videos that you tend to keep the main hatch open when up on the roof deck. From personal experience, it is best to close that hatch when on the deck - it is a big step into the cabin. And on you new boat, even a bigger step. Glad to see you out on the water. Dean
Taylor, I think its so awesome that you've not only got your Boat up n Sailing along...💪....but your TH-cam Channel is a success also.....AWESOME. You have so much more success ahead of you....👏 Practice Practice Practice with that Drone....👌
DeJA Vu Sailing I think that's a bit unfair to Taylor. Yeah, she's attractive and yeah she likes to display that. It's not enough to carry the channel on its own though, her personality plays a big part in that, plus the content is good and she learned a lot about videography and editing from her time on Doodles.
I’m an Ocean sailor, but when I gazed at the breakwater. I don’t think I could tell the deference between salt and fresh. A part of me at that moment wanted to know. What the sea air smelt like. It’s probably not salty air. Maybe it smells like a river. I wish I could be there and experience it with Taylor.
great video Taylor . the scenery from the was awesome . so happy the drone was able to get some super video . glad to put some video in of the playing the guitar . nice spot that you have on the lake with the flowers etc . it looks so colourful with the plants etc . the first mate did a great job helping you sail bravo
At last the Genoa is hoisted! 👍 good job ladies. Next time “sweat the halyard” to tension the luff, and the sail will look and perform better. Those wrinkles along the luff are referred to as “Crow’s feet”. Looks like a beautiful day for lake sailing. One more suggestion, try to avoid using a hitch on the cleat for the Genoa sheet in case it must be released quickly. Instead, just make a figure-eight as you did and finish with a full round turn. This will suffice, and is safer. Or replace the standard cleat with a “jam cleat”. Fair winds.
I came across your vid by accident. Glad I did. Many moons ago, my Grandfather would take me down to the Marina there in Bayfield. We would fish off the pier and swim off that beach. Seeing that Marina again brought back so many memories. I can't wait to go back.
Another great video, smoothly edited and scored! Looked like a gorgeous day there, matching the 2 sailors! What a sweet friend too. Great drone catch, reminded me of that Volvo Ocean Race video of them catching a drone in the Southern Ocean!! Can be hairy for sure.
Ok music was relaxing just like your video! Great cinematography! And I felt this was very much you this time, like you just telling a story! Really Good!
Hello Taylor, thank you for allowing and sharing your beautiful adventure on the sailboat come true, be patient and you will see that you will advance in your noble purposes. I saw you a little nervous but finally dominating the situation at sea. Greetings you are lovely
Looks like you are having fun, which is always nice to see. I don't know much about the Great Lakes area. I'm guessing there are a lot of nice towns, cities, and interesting places to visit. Hopefully you're able to explore them on your channel. Best wishes on your sailing adventures and channel.
Very cool video, great drone shots. Taylor, up and coming Nascar super star Hailie Deegan mentioned you and your channel on her pod cast the other night, apparently Hailie did a lot of sailing in California when she wasn't racing and she said you and your channel inspired her to buy another sailboat' now that her family is residing in North Carolina during the racing season, They live on a huge and very deep lake. Your channel is growing and inspiring people from all walks of life....
Wow that is so incredible to hear, I had no idea! Thank you very much for sharing that with me :) and thanks for watching! do you happen to know which podcast episode it is so I can listen to it?
Nice day sail with a luffing jib but the views were beautiful. Sailed Lake Michigan for years from calm to 10+ seas. I think you will get it and hope the channel is gangbusters. Cheers. Charlie.
Hey Taylor, your set up is so cool. From your marina deck, to sailing on your boat, what a wonderful summer life. Enjoy every day! By the way, I think another selection on your guitar is in order. Always enjoyable. Take care.
Beautiful! And as a certified instructor for radio control aircraft and drones, I think you're doing great. The biggest challenge is not letting your nervousness overwhelm you and you've overcome that! Keep your drone below 400 ft (120m) and you'll keep the various aviation authorities off your back as well.
Super Cool Vid! enjoyed watching you on Sailing Doodles, so I knew you'd put out some great content here. I love your down to earth approach and the straight forward take on what it is you're doing. I need to get my lake boat serviced and out in the water...even tho this was sailing, it still made think of the things I like the most about being out on the water. Look forward to your next vid!
Nice sail Taylor. And I'm sure it was way more easy with your friend as 1st Mate. I love the great lakes. Grew up on Lake Erie and have fished many times on the French River. West of Lake Nipissing. South of Sudbury.
Hi Taylor.... Do you ever feel like you are living a dream? I think it is amazing how in less than one year you have grown your channel to 73000 subs. Keep doing what you are doing because it is working. Your videos will earn you a bigger boat and then you can go anywhere you want. Im impressed girl!!!
Good job Taylor, Love the drone footage. I am a newbie drone flyer and don't think I could have done what you did! Glad you landed it safely! Wishing you many more safe drone flights...Love from Alabama!!
Wow.! The lake looked so blue that day... Usually the Great Lakes have a slight green pallor. At least that is the case on Lakes Erie( I live near Port Dover, Ontario) And that was a tight bend coming back to the slip.... Handled like a Boss! Too bad the sailing season is so short up here in the Great White North.... Heading back to the Caribbean in the Fall? After our Indian Summer maybe?
Hi Taylor. Many thanks for the videos. I recently discovered your channel and have been catching up. I really enjoyed your 'Why' introduction and it resonated with me. I'm retired and never had the chance to do what i wanted, and feel it is too late now. But what you said was strong and worthwhile. Seeing you stride out on this channel is uplifting and I've really enjoyed your grounded, sensible approach. I wish you luck in your project. Don't let anyone get you down and go for it! You have precious support from your family which is great, as mine never let me follow my heart. So appreciate them and thank them for the blessings they give you. Your Dad seems a great guy and I salute him. Enjoy, and the main thing: have a great time. All the best!
I make it up that way quite regularly and have noticed the very high water levels in the lake. I've been to The Docks many times. Great video. Love the Bluewater.
That drone launch and recovery would be me! Thanks for giving it a go it really enhances the production . Any that’s all fresh water , hard to believe some times! Cheers warren
Hey Taylor, really enjoy you and your videos..also, you have got so much going for you: looks, brains, talent, drive and coolness. As a guy who has 2 daughters, your Dad must be very proud...the luck guy that snags you needs to appreciate and support you....all the best, stay safe and thanks for the content.
Lovely ladies! Taylor, unless you think it's too boring perhaps make a Vlog about all of the safety equipment one should have in a boat, power or sail. Fire extinguisher, 1st aid kit, flare gun, marine radio, etc. I only thought of this because your drone footage has you so far away from shore, and yes I'v broken down in my power boat before. It sucks. Haha! Thanks for the video!
Go Taylor, Go! Keepin' it young and fun for all of us stiffs stuck at home! Thank you!
Wow! You go girls! I never knew the Great Lakes were so blue 👍😊
Good job Taylor and Cass, you guys went sailing, had fun, and made it back in your dock safely with some great video. Mission accomplished.
I love how blue Huron can be, its like the ocean, I CANT BELIEVE it’s a lake

Hardly wearing any clothes all the time is how to be successful on TH-cam.

Taylor, you are fearless! You just do it. More power to you. You make an adventure out of every day. You are like a wild stallion. Don't stop.
Nothing like the GREAT lakes!
As I sit here watching this video I am so proud of you and your sailing...I am sure Bobby and your Dad are as well. Great Spirit you have!!
The colour of that water is fantastic!
We call it Bluewater Land, best Great Lake of em all.

There's water? I just see Taylor.
Love seeing you girls out sailing!!!👍🇺🇸

Sending you a big hug from the South African East coast. May your travels be full of life and adventure.
You picked a nice day to go out, nice, gentle breeze and not too rough.
I was going to say 'lucky girl', but you made it all happen. Have a great rest of summer.
Wow, awesome video. This looks so idyllic and is so enjoyable to watch. Great work Taylor.

The white handles on your companionway door..if they're stained then you can use 1000 grit sandpaper and scrub gently. They'll look brand new!

Flying your drone anywhere can be stressful, but over open water and from a boat ........I bet your heart was beating fast ?! Great video 🙂👍
Looks like Bobby taught you well. Good luck on your new adventure.
Good job Taylor, Love the drone footage. I am a newbie drone flyer and don't think I could have done what you did! Glad you landed it safely! Wishing you many more safe drone flights...Love from Alabama!!
Cool ride! :) Make sure you stay hydrated with so much sun! I would suggest full brim hat and sun tan lotion as well.

Nice job docking. Two thumbs up from me...
Great job! Looking forward to you getting both sails up!
Yeah, I've got a Dji Spark too. You did well controlling it in those windy conditions. The footage looked fantastic.
Man that looks like fun. That’s the “little boat that could”...... that water is beautiful as well.
There's nothing little about that boat. lol
Taylor thanks for the part about flying a drone from a boat. We can totally relate! The struggle and stress is real
I’m glad someone else can understand how tough it can be and it’s not just me! 😅 I’m not sure if it will ever be not stressful haha
You inspire my sailing dream. Fair winds, girl!
