I just picked one up last night and I was concerned about the clatter and shaft play. Is yours still running fine?
Use hpde (High-density polyethylene) agricultural pipe and cut it into length, wears much much slower and will give you correct amount of grip for most fun👍👍 (can actually heat up)

We have some real tests on the way!
Buy a reverse vac pump from harbor freight makes changing the sleeves down to like 1 minute with no hammer needed
So you can put on kart rotax engine or kz it will give a lot of power

You saw it milion times on my vids🤣 the best is when first driver made ma mistake and its way better to be allways close to lead - then crash will be smaller and last thing! Put front bumper becouse Your purple toes will be broken when You decide to park in Your friends back when he spins out🤣

I have so many questions. I want to build a kart like this so bad but have no clue where to start. Is your frame completely custom?
Obviously im not jacob but its been 6 days so i figure id help u out, that doesnt look to be a custom frame, if you want a drift kart, try find an older frame as they have a better steering design (gives more angle) i would recommend an arrow ax5 frame, as thats wot i race and you could easily get plenty of angle outta them by cuttin off the steering stoppers. The newer karts have a really weird steering design, if u want more info lemmi know and i’ll giv u my snap so i can show u wot im talkin about
How come when putting the plastic over the tires you don’t deflate the tires then slide them on instead of hammering them on. Just curious

Why TF would you remove the brake pedal?! 🤦♂️ You could have retained the factory master cylinder and brake pedal , and mounted the handbrake up to that. With your current setup, if your handbrake malfunctions, you have no way to stop. The bastardization of purpose built kart chassis is a sad state of affairs :(
Tie rod clearance is key for these modded drift karts. I also run a 🔥 Wilwood karting master setup that does the job well.
@@JacobSherwood Worked so well, you drove through your buddie’s kart. Tie rod clearance shouldn’t be an issue, if you’re not making funky modifications to the steering system. You can adjust Ackerman angle with the different sets of holes on your steering shaft, and front spindles. This will change how subtle or aggressive the front turn in will be. I think you guys are going to a lot of unnecessary trouble that’s not needed to get a kart to drift. I can drift both my 2 stroke karts on regular slicks all day long with no modifications to my chassis or braking.
