Great looking wild coho my friend. Love the colours on those males. Nice looking river, perfect setting. Hope to see more in the future. Good luck with the Jeep sale, sounds like she has been good to you. Tight lines. Adrian
Thanks Adrian! they sure do get pretty. And i have yet to catch a really bright red one. The subscribers will be sure to know when/if i do get her sold because i have big plans for the future!
Man I know that the feeling you were shaking that adrenaline rush is no joke when catching those salmon and those steelhead looks like you are finding your groove in washington nice morning view
I had handled a ton of them working at the weir so I was familiar with handling them just wasn’t aware of the keep in water rule 😅 thanks for watching!
I actually haven’t done a lot of fishing in the Denver area I’m southwest Colorado I wish I could help you more! Any stream near Rocky Mountain will be good trout fishing though 👍🏼
I have caught a couple on the fly but I'm hoping to target them a lot more this season on the fly. Thats one of my big goals now that I live on the Oregon Coast.
@@LifeOutdoorsis this gig or oly? I fish both a lot I think I know the river your on I won’t say but depending where your at I know the river not the spot
Wasn't trying to be a Debbie downer. The rule is for all fish you plan on releasing, Welcome to the great PNW. Just wait til Aug-Sep for next year's pink salmon run. You actually see guys kick the fish, snag the fish, drag em up on dry rocks, then kick them back in. Insane and disheartening.

It was fun watching your excitement fighting that coho! Nice work 🙏🏻
I was so shocked with how early in the day i hooked up! Wasnt mentally prepared for that one haha
@@LifeOutdoors isn’t it crazy how that works? And then sometimes it seems ya can’t buy a bite the rest of the day!
I had one more after that but hardly a sniff!

The fight from a jig to a fly rod was totally different! slowly but surely the knowledge is adding up.
Kewl beans. Nice snapper.
Thank you Thank you!
Love ur adventures man. What a beautiful state
Thank you man, really appreciate that! Definitely stoked to be back in the PNW here on the Oregon Coast

Freaking love it!
Heck yeah man!!
I subscribed 👍 Super cool video! Beautiful scenery and fish!
Thank you!! Appreciate the love
what river was this?
Southwest Washington!
Awesome video. How I miss fishing in the pacific northwest! I'll be visiting Washington state around October, where can I get some twitching jigs?!
Thanks so much! It is such a beautiful area to fish and hang out in. I got all of mine from Bob's sporting goods in Longview!
If you use a standard rod you can use salmon eggs on a single hook and you’ll catch a good amount of trout
Ive never been much of an egg fisherman but it would definitely be worth a shot. Thanks for watching!
@@LifeOutdoors yup 👍 I found you on fish brain
@@kellankirkpatrick3071 Oh sweet thats sick!
@@LifeOutdoors hey man I’m visiting Denver right now do you have any trout spots for me that I can catch easily with a regular trout pole?

Do you ever catch salmon on the fly rod

Hey duder, where is this spot ?
It was out in Longview area! Not a lot of access but some fun exploring to do in the vicinity for sure 🤘
@@LifeOutdoors is that the Elochamen?
@Aaron Jewell Maybe 😉🤷♂
Try some spinners they will smash those in the current
I bought a few during my last shop trip so i definitely plan to!

I'm not familiar with either of those so I dont think so haha
Not supposed to take the fish out of the water if you're realising it
Yup someone commented that a while ago, I didnt know 👍🏼
Who care Washington fishing laws are ridiculous
There are some strict ones!
"I'm going to put it back and not take pictures with it" then pulls back out of the water to look at it again...dude!
Just wanted one more look after giving it a dunk! It was like 10 more seconds the fish was more than fine 👍🏼
Doesn’t hurt the fish much if it’s for a quick photo
Yup that fish was healthy and ready to keep on swimming!
What I don't understand is; if there are salmon in that crick; where are the other 50+ fishermen standing elbow-to-elbow with you ?
=
hahaha I dont deal with that, im getting away from the people 😂
Yeah you're a goof ball
Thank you!
Nice video, buuuuuuut, please keep the fish in the water, taking it out like that is against the law. Expensive violation.
Thank you for the heads up! I’m from Ohio so this is all new out here. I thought that was only for wild steelhead

@@chrisclearman5244 Oh i know, its all good! Well that is Ohio for most people so i can assure you ive seen worse unfortunately.
Keep them in the water it's the law
Other comments already mentioned that lol the fish will be just fine 👍
