I get the retro nostalgic photography vibe, more or less all my cameras are from thrift and 2nd hand stores, bought very cheap, often £5-£20. It's always satisfying taking an impressive photo on such cheap bargain basement cameras. I've added your channel, hopefully you'll connect with a retro photographer 📸
Thank you for this! I've been into cameras forever but never had a "childhood" digicam but I just got one. It's nice to see videos about this to encourage me to use it more often!
Great video! Being of a earlier generation and having to use film, then moving to digital. Now I am sort of a hybrid shooter. I been collecting digicams and small camcorders for years. The enjoyment is from the limitations and if the camera has a great CCD sensor. I generally shoot no lower than 4mp, but have several camera in the lower range too. Getting good images from discarded cameras is a fun challenge and makes you think more about composition, lighting, etc. The packability of these camera is such a plus. The prices are on the rise, but there are still some decent very well cared for digicams out there. I try not to spend more than $20.00 max on any given camera. The $5. to $15. is a good range. Canon made some solid cameras back then, I have several. Thanks for sharing!
just got gifted this camera from my grandparents and I haven’t tried it yet but i worried the quality would be poor. But this is such a lovely review and makes me really excited to use this camera!
Yeah sorta? I usually will import the videos into my editing software and edit them into whatever project i'm making so I guess I have never run into this issue. If you have iphone try importing them to imovie and then exporting it through that to convert it. Also if you have a desktop, installing a free editing software (like shotcut) could be good way to export them into like mp4 for play back on the phone. Hope this helps 🤙
It’s been quite picky with the cards i’ve tried to use but the older the better it seems. The camera supports up to a 32gb card though if you find one compatible
I have this camera!! But how do I check how much % battery it has? Because I charge it for 2 hours and it still says right after it’s charged that it’s dying:( how do I fix it? I bought a new battery but it doesn’t work, help hahah
I actually am not sure, I just checked my own camera but I haven't been able to find the battery indicator on it. Maybe it is your charger? It's hard to tell, if you bought a used battery it could be that its gotten too old and doesn't hold a charge. Sorry for such a non answer, but I hope you get your camera up and running!!
Not sure what you mean but it can be changed to shoot manual when pressing the function button. There is also all other settings when you press function. Hope this helps
I had this tiny cam for a while but i felt that the colors are a bit pale and bluish to my liking 😅 i prefer the images from sd1000 (ixus 70) but overall not bad 😊
Yeah I think I agree, I usually play with the colors or use lightroom presets to get them looking abit more lively. If you do pick it back up try messing with the white balance to make it a bit warm, or bump up saturation. Ixux 70 is a wonderful camera too :)
I love how nobody asked for this and you still gave us 7 minutes of it.
its over bro
I asked
i asked too

Hey i have the same camera and my phone doesn't play the video files since the format is so old. Did you convert yours to another format?

What do you use to edit the photos?
I use lightroom but also I use my iphones editor in the photos app sometimes too.
Is there a way to charge this camera without the battery charger? Can you use a usb cable
Unfortunately you can only charge it with the battery charger
What type of memory card should I use? I have a 1GB Kingston sd card but it doesn’t read it :/ any suggestions?

Is it possible to make the data visible in the photos?
