I would like to express my gratitude to Dr. Masha for her excellent work. I have listened to several of her podcasts, and recently, I took advantage of a 15-minute free call to ask her two questions about HBOT. Her advice was really helpful, and I am very thankful for the tips she provided me with. I highly recommend her services to others who may benefit from her expertise. Thank you again, Dr. Masha!

Great questions at the end Dr. Masha. I have some hope that HBOT might help me for long-covid here in Boise.

I came here after reading the Aviv protocol-Theirs costs 10's of thousands of dollars & is in only 1 location. But watched a YT from the News channel that gave their protocol

      Was the protocol 2.4 ATA 3 * 20 min with 5 min breaks, breathing 100% O2?

Hello Good boy. Brain fog and depression are really common after the infection. If you'd like to learn more about hyperbaric oxygen therapy, you can book a FREE consultation with me at calendly.com/drmakeeva/15min

Why do they take oxygen breaks? My husband is getting 2.0 atm for 90 minutes but not taking oxygen breaks. He has had 25-30 hours total time but very little improvement so far. Do you think adding oxygen breaks might help?

It's a great question. Air breaks are needed to create a relative hypoxia state. When air breaks are taken, a body will sense a drop in oxygen levels and react. Air breaks let us maximise the effects of hyperbaric oxygen. If your husband is not seeing benefit or seeing little benefit from HBOT it's time to explore what could the obstacles and may be twick a protocol

He just started noticing that the brain fog is lifting, but only when he is in the tank. As soon as they release the pressure to decompress, his brain fog and vice grip feeling in his head resume. Have you had patients notice that improvement? We are hoping he will start to notice improvement out of the tank.

@@momofmicah I have seen numerous patients recover from long COVID using hyperbarics. In my opinion, key is to look at big picture and use HBOT with other therapies that might be helpful, I.e. IV therapy, acupuncture, dietary changes, herbs, etc

Specifically, these breaks of a few minutes of regular air, create a relative hypoxic state in the body (he won’t notice anything). This state then kick starts a process called angiogenesis, which is the creation of new blood vessels.
