Songs like Rachie's "Why I gave up on music," "Usseewa," and DD's "end of a [redacted because internet joke haha]" are what get me though sad times. There are few works that I find myself going back line by line in their works to try and understand. Sometimes I don't know whether I want to strangle them for more works or beg them to rest and care for themselves. Alas, I am merely a confused youtube commentator who should really "start creating, stop tweeting." By that, I mean figure out how the hell to finish today's work and stop listening to dd songs on repeat.
This and "Take The Bait" have been on repeat on my playlist. This is a raw album (in both the emotional an banger sense), but these two speak the loudest for me. This is such a grand come back, DD.

Really loving the voice, and the depression is palpable. I can only imagine the amount of stress you go through on a daily basis, with so many lives going on, but please take care of yourself. I know headless voices are hard to listen to, and you may have already resolved your problems, but please please please know so many people look up to you. :D

Thanks for putting my feelings into words. Her music resonates with my soul in a way I can't describe. She moves me and helps me to realize what has been nagging and gnawing at me, unable to express the feelings bottled up inside. Forever a fan. Thanks for being a refuge for the pain as well as a place to vent the rage/hurt/despair that has been building up. It's cathartic to finally release the pent up feelings and then be brought gently down to a place that can sooth me all in a few songs.
I just realized after listening to this so long: You can constantly hear a clock ticking beneath the track but it always gets quiet on her more 'vibrant' parts. When her lyrics become darker like the "muzzle" and "trigger finger" parts, there seems to be a pressure of time pushing her words. Her dark hours gives her the silence and reprieve she seems to want.
Ah man, I'm loving every song of this EP. Not sure of the technical term, but I loved the way you sang this; gave me a different vibe compared to the other songs, and the feelings of overwhelming stress/raw emotion came through strong. Amazing work! I'm glad you're here and thank you for making these songs. Definitely an eye-opener, and means more than I can properly say.

As someone currently coping with a recent loss in my life, the depression and grief that comes with that, and the anxiety that's been infesting my mind all my life, your music really hits me deep to the core. Even when you have success in life and reached your goals, you still feel trapped in your own mind, you still feel lost. Thank you for sharing your pain, thank you for being raw and real. This and Hazy Skyscrapers stand as two of my favorite songs of all time.

@@the_seeker.entity9206 ye, as @Arashi-JF mentioned the reference is from "MJB" and my 'personal' general takeaway from it is how someone's art/work can overshadow the person behind it & possibly lead to feelings of being trapped on only doing that thing, due to factors such as but not limited to: money, crowd reception, tunnel vision, and/or fear of failure. reference to it felt fitting imo! cuz the vibe of the song describes karen as also feeling a bit trapped in her own set of circumstances.

This song during the Kawaii Kon 2022 concert was beautiful. The dark room with the blue lights on the wall , while the audience pull out their phone lights waving back and forth in sync with the rhythm of the song.

I normally really don't like pop sounds, but to me Billie Eilish was a breath of fresh air. This captures what I like about her music almost perfectly. The understated vocals, the subtle vocal emotion in the performance, but the lyrics dripping with it. The understated performance makes those moments where the emphasis is put on shine really bright. Great work.

Whenever I feel like everything is crumbling down to the point I cant do anything to calm myself & having intrusive thoughts to just "disappear", this is the only song I can somehow just distract myself in with my chaotic state of mind while everything else just doesn't work. It just feels different to hear it in that state of mind. If I ever feel severely overwhelmed by life, this is the only song capable to soothe me down as long as I repeat it infinitely till I regain my sanity. This is a special kind of masterpiece is what I really wanted to say.

Everything about DemonDice is something I'd like to endure till my life ends. Relatable struggles, patriotic, acknowledges good times, acknowledges bad times, truly brave to perform in this modern time, talented, realistic, she's everything I wish for someone to be with. Then again, her stardom keeps on growing, because she keeps pumping effort creating A+ content that would draw attention. I wish Japan leaps into the direction of allowing dual citizenship. I don't agree with multiple citizenship, such as more than or equal to 3, but if dual citizenship was possible in Japan, DemonDice deserves to be Japanese as well. Citizenship law is outdated, Japan needs to change so we have more hopes for those who have identity problems but absolutely loves Japan. (I'm not talking about Weebs, I'm talking about those who genuinely knows Japan properly)
This is my favourite song from the EP, it gives of the vibe like coming from a concert, driving in the night, looking through the window and thinking about the life one has to return back to, absolutely love it also if you listen carefully you can hear a clock ticking during the verses instead of the typical high heads, love these little details in the production, Dice always has the best collaborators

Hauntingly beautiful. This really captures that feeling where time stops, when "you should really be asleep right now," drowning in thoughts. It's not a fun place to be in, and I'm sure you're under much more stress than me, so I don't envy that. I don't wanna be the "is this a Persona reference?" guy, but some of the words and phrases definitely hit for me from P3, and the song in general reminded me of trying to escape into video games. I know this is the most depressed point of the album, and that there's another song after, but it hurts and is raw in the moment. I hope and pray you can find solace and transition during these times into rest, and to ultimately find contentment and a healthy way to disconnect from the screen, even as your fans and the world keep on spinning.

I don't think it's any hyperbole to say this is one of your best songs yet, DDK. All of your improvement you've made over your career are blindingly apparent in this hauntingly beautiful song. Your lyrics and gorgeous vocals paint a vivid, yet incredibly sad picture. I love how it really takes you to that place of being lost with and unsatisfied with yourself and where your life is. It perfectly captures that feeling of a long, sleepless night. Even though I may not share your story, I can strongly sympathize with the exhaustion of feeling the need to constantly create and be a certain version of yourself for the sake of your career or audience, while feeling lost and like your emotions are obscured even to yourself. It's an incredibly sad, yet relatable feeling and you captured that beautifully here. I love the image of the jewelry box mind. It so perfectly captures the images and feelings the song conveys. This is definitely one of my favorites of the EP and of your entire catalogue. Like I said, your vocals are just achingly beautiful and your lyrics deftly paint an incredibly vivid and relatable picture. That backing track is also phenomenal. I got the EP on Bandcamp, been listening to it on repeat since. Every songs are bangers, but it's this one I relate to the most. (exept the "fame" line, since I'm not an artist or someone under the spotlight.) This feeling of wanting to relax, away from pressure or problems but being unable to, almost forgetting what it feels like. Wanting to disconnect from internet/the screens, taking a stroll through the street at night, only lit by the moon, streetlights and the few bars/shops open a this hour. going into one of said bar to drink away the night and maybe forget the pain and the pressure for an hour, hoping it will last an eternity. I love the callbacks and use of lyrical motif’s. Sure I definitely know that there are other Musicians feeling the same thing, but sometimes you just have to hear those words along with the right and Melody, or Beat, before it incites that reaction out of you, To feel not quite so alone. As someone who generally dislikes hip-hop/rap, these 4 new songs are absolutely captivating. Been listening to this EP on repeat for a day now. The emotion put into it is truly something to experience.
The coma reality line hits different every time. Not only is every song in the ep a banger but they're all relatable and that's what makes the whole experience really great
The contrast between the lyrics and the track itself is really a mood. You can chill with the song but then the lyrics hit harder and you're left stunned. Really love your soothing singing voice in this. Keep up the greatness!
Man even after listening to them all over and over, I really can't pick a fav out of this EP. They're all fantastic songs, and hit hard. Because in a way they're all relatable in different ways, and I'm sure different people are gonna relate to those same things in their own ways. I love this song so much. It's probably my favorite off of the EP. It's hauntingly beautiful and your singing on it is phenomenal. Your voice has this tone to it in this that I absolutely love.
Perhaps I might be entirely misunderstanding the song, or maybe just projecting myself into its lyrics, but it feels like this song is about an escape from the anxieties, dissatisfaction and exhaustion of life, and trying to seek comfort in the debilitating state of intoxication to get away from life.

Holy crap the structure of this is so good. The flow lilts and lurches from line to line but always still feels continuous and smooth. This is giving me Nujabes vibes in a way, and it's getting added to my playlist asap.

This song during the Kawaii Kon 2022 concert was beautiful. The dark room with the blue lights on the wall , while the audience pull out their phone lights waving back and forth in sync with the rhythm of the song.
Honestly. I'm not a lyricist myself or anything, but DD really feels so far ahead of any other artists out there when it comes to just how well she can arrange this stuff.

Probably my favourite from the more recent songs so far. The beat, the way she made it, just the one image that goes along with this, it’s perfect.
I normally really don't like pop sounds, but to me Billie Eilish was a breath of fresh air. This captures what I like about her music almost perfectly. The understated vocals, the subtle vocal emotion in the performance, but the lyrics dripping with it. The understated performance makes those moments where the emphasis is put on shine really bright. Great work.
The mix of singing and rapping is perfect it really shows how much progress you made. It's a nice relaxing sober song and I absolutely love it! Keep up the great work DD! You are doing amazing!
This is so beautiful. It almost feels like slam poetry to me which in a sense is what music is for a lot of people but it’s conveyed so clearly and I love how everything comes together just to create one beautiful sound amazing work DDK ❤️you’re amazing :}
I think this track is going to take the most time to pore over the lyrics to really appreciate all the nuance. Really dig the chill yet somber vibe. And your singing has just gotten so good. Another great track.
I concur with the first sentence entirely. The lyrics here have a lot of layers to unpack.
Whenever I feel like everything is crumbling down to the point I cant do anything to calm myself & having intrusive thoughts to just "disappear", this is the only song I can somehow just distract myself in with my chaotic state of mind while everything else just doesn't work. It just feels different to hear it in that state of mind. If I ever feel severely overwhelmed by life, this is the only song capable to soothe me down as long as I repeat it infinitely till I regain my sanity. This is a special kind of masterpiece is what I really wanted to say.

This is the smoothest song I've ever heard. I don't know if it can get any smoother than this. This almost brought me to tears because of how soulful and perfect it is. The other songs on this EP are amazing as well, but this takes it to another level for me, based on the melodies, the rhythm, the beat, everything. I wish Japan leaps into the direction of allowing dual citizenship.
I don't agree with multiple citizenship, such as more than or equal to 3, but if dual citizenship was possible in Japan, DemonDice deserves to be Japanese as well.
Citizenship law is outdated, Japan needs to change so we have more hopes for those who have identity problems but absolutely loves Japan.
(I'm not talking about Weebs, I'm talking about those who genuinely knows Japan properly)
This is my favourite song from the EP, it gives of the vibe like coming from a concert, driving in the night, looking through the window and thinking about the life one has to return back to, absolutely love it
also if you listen carefully you can hear a clock ticking during the verses instead of the typical high heads, love these little details in the production, Dice always has the best collaborators

Hauntingly beautiful. This really captures that feeling where time stops, when "you should really be asleep right now," drowning in thoughts. It's not a fun place to be in, and I'm sure you're under much more stress than me, so I don't envy that. I don't wanna be the "is this a Persona reference?" guy, but some of the words and phrases definitely hit for me from P3, and the song in general reminded me of trying to escape into video games.
I know this is the most depressed point of the album, and that there's another song after, but it hurts and is raw in the moment. I hope and pray you can find solace and transition during these times into rest, and to ultimately find contentment and a healthy way to disconnect from the screen, even as your fans and the world keep on spinning.
Love your music Karen, I won't pretend to fully comprehend the feelings you try to convey... However i'm glad you're able to vent these emotions you hold. 9 outta 10 times your music resonates with me hard, whether it being a mental state that I'm currently in or have experienced. Even surrounded by many people, possibly including family and friends, the world can be an incredibly lonely place sometimes...

I don't think it's any hyperbole to say this is one of your best songs yet, DDK. All of your improvement you've made over your career are blindingly apparent in this hauntingly beautiful song. Your lyrics and gorgeous vocals paint a vivid, yet incredibly sad picture. I love how it really takes you to that place of being lost with and unsatisfied with yourself and where your life is. It perfectly captures that feeling of a long, sleepless night. Even though I may not share your story, I can strongly sympathize with the exhaustion of feeling the need to constantly create and be a certain version of yourself for the sake of your career or audience, while feeling lost and like your emotions are obscured even to yourself. It's an incredibly sad, yet relatable feeling and you captured that beautifully here. I love the image of the jewelry box mind. It so perfectly captures the images and feelings the song conveys. This is definitely one of my favorites of the EP and of your entire catalogue. Like I said, your vocals are just achingly beautiful and your lyrics deftly paint an incredibly vivid and relatable picture. That backing track is also phenomenal. I can come to this song again and again if I'm ever feeling in a low place. Thanks for sharing this beautiful song with us, DDK. You've truly outdone yourself.

I got the EP on Bandcamp, been listening to it on repeat since. Every songs are bangers, but it's this one I relate to the most. (exept the "fame" line, since I'm not an artist or someone under the spotlight.)
This feeling of wanting to relax, away from pressure or problems but being unable to, almost forgetting what it feels like. Wanting to disconnect from internet/the screens, taking a stroll through the street at night, only lit by the moon, streetlights and the few bars/shops open a this hour. going into one of said bar to drink away the night and maybe forget the pain and the pressure for an hour, hoping it will last an eternity.

I love the callbacks and use of lyrical motif’s. Sure I definitely know that there are other Musicians feeling the same thing, but sometimes you just have to hear those words along with the right and Melody, or Beat, before it incites that reaction out of you, To feel not quite so alone.

As someone who generally dislikes hip-hop/rap, these 4 new songs are absolutely captivating. Been listening to this EP on repeat for a day now. The emotion put into it is truly something to experience.
The coma reality line hits different every time. Not only is every song in the ep a banger but they're all relatable and that's what makes the whole experience really great

Man even after listening to them all over and over, I really can't pick a fav out of this EP. They're all fantastic songs, and hit hard. Because in a way they're all relatable in different ways, and I'm sure different people are gonna relate to those same things in their own ways. Admittedly this might be the one that takes longest for me to figure out the meaning, but I hope making/releasing these songs at least helped bring you some peace of mind!

Perhaps I might be entirely misunderstanding the song, or maybe just projecting myself into its lyrics, but it feels like this song is about an escape from the anxieties, dissatisfaction and exhaustion of life, and trying to seek comfort in the debilitating state of intoxication to get away from life.
