Premodern is a super interesting format because from what I understand it's not "solved" even though no new cards are coming into the format. I see a ton of different decks all the time when I see people playing it, so that's always great
i really like how you guys aren’t being “super competitive” and are actually talking about and discussing your plays and thought process mid game. It really makes for a very entertaining and easy to follow video. subbed ❤
Premodern is so awesome ❤️ the solution is a masterpiece. The red splash might be strictly competitively incorrect but lightning bolt and lightning angel in the same deck is too sweet to pass up 😂❤
Its so awesome seeing fragile manabases, manlands gemstone mines, painlands etc. it really puts pressure on multicolor decks life total, play choices, and deck building, and just feels right. Nowadays, multicolor mana is so broken, basic lands are nearly useless, and it feels like colors dont even matter in deck building.... anyone can just easily mash the most powerful cards together to make a deck.... and there are endless multicolor lands. Also premodern cards were more expensive and kess efficient, again making cards feel more powerful or impactful with more mana. Nowadays (lol) players expect every “high quality competitive card” to be basically free, or less than 3 mana to cast.... I mean, even commander players complain counterspell is too expensive and inefficient smh....
@@neonmushroom6763 I would for sure like to see some decks featuring cards banned in Legacy such as Survival of the Fittest or Oath of Druids. I'll watch whatever y'all end up running 😏
You know I don't do 60-card, but I enjoying watching you guys (Shroom, et. al) plus a few other channels that are 60-card. Having met you makes it even better, because I know that it's all genuine.
Another great video! Just subbed to your arena channel but maybe consider adding a link to it on your main channel, so it's easier for people to find 😊

Yeah the meta game is so diverse that the "best deck" is always changing
Exactly! You can basically play what you enjoy with matchup knowledge and a strong SB
👍🏻👍🏻💯

Yeah idk if it's reasonable to try and cast lightning angel in this format w the mana issues it has, but I like lightning angel so imma do it anyway
These look like fun decks! I love premodern, especially out here in New England. Love to see the brews!
Ayyy glad you like the format too buddy

@@neonmushroom6763 not premodern related but…

Sweeet!!! More Premodern!
Premodern is the most fun

Shroom's been cooking in the premodern kitchen. Now I finally get the galvanic blast reference from mh2
Yeah lmao, call back city
Get you a partner that looks at you the way Neon talks about Draco.
Don't, it's not love, it's obsession
@@neonmushroom6763 Im not seeing a downside.
This format is sick, I want to play it but unlikely I'd find others that would want to play.
Proxy it up, gonna play some games w patrons on the discord.
If that's not your thing you can play on mtgo!

That's a v good idea, I'll do that. Thanks buddy
15:30 Lim Duls Vault shuffles the deck before putting the pile back on top, the seen cards dont go to the bottom
Unfortunately I had to report you to the DCI
V good catch, fortunately for the video it never came close to mattering. Appreciate you
4:40 didn't he name lightning bolt for one of the meddling mages he couldnt play lightning bolt or am i wrong
No if it was cast then u right
I feel like every premodern deck is just a meme deck and I'm here for it
Low key at the very least the naming conventions are a bit of a meme
i remember when you played good formats smh my head
What? Who are you
