I really enjoyed this. I let him overtake because I saw he was keeping up, and even coming closer in the turns, and I wanted to get a different perspective. That thing was mighty impressive around the bends, though I had to do major lift-off on the straights. Strongest part was when we were going downhill. On this day I was facing some major understeer - that's what you get by tinkering with the suspension - and I definitely had slower mid corner speeds.
You certainly have a massive ego and a high opinion of yourself!

@@GreatMotors But the IS 300 driver wasn't very experienced. He pushed too much in some places (risked a crash) and went reeeeeeally slow in others.

If I’m not mistaken that Lexus belongs to Andrea, one of Custom Racetec’s mechanics. He build that car over quite some time. He’s a super nice guy and crazy fast behind the wheel!

It’s so weird seeing the GR walk away from another driver on the straights. Usually it’s the other way around and the little GR comes clawing back on the corners.

The Lexus is a is200 with a 1G-FE 2.0 24v.
This from video has about 160hp. With a good driver every car can be fun.

Modern cars have so many assists that the driver steps on the gas and turn. Turn all assists off and then it's more driver.

Why does sometimes the alarm signal turns on? While braking i suppose or something like that,cause it doesn't occur all the time
It's an emergency brake warning. If the car detects a big deceleration it will turn on the hazard lights to warn incoming traffic.

Getting close to 130°C when I empty a tank in a row at full blast (5 laps). They drop rather quickly to the 100°C after I stop pinning the gas.

What about black Bmw driver?, he also was fast.
When you were leading, the Lexus seemed to gain most by braking very late approaching the corners. In the corners, he seemed very twitchy, and must have been right at his edge of adhesion much of the time. I would not be comfortable doing that.
He was also able to take more speed into the turn. I had been playing with the suspension setup and ended up with a very understeery car track side. I have now corrected that :). It was a well prepared car, from suspension setup to tires.

Take a look at the video description. Engine is stock. Has different wheels and tires, minor changes to the brakes, a KW Clubsport suspension and around 25Kg worth of interior parts removed.

So after reading you comment I get why you let him pass but at the time of watching the vid, you had him in speed and letting him pass was going to do nothing but slow you down, I half expected you to reach for a sandwich in some of the straights you looked so relaxed to the point of being bored.

Stock engine and power.
I feel that you go a little too slow in some corners. In others runs i see you sending much more, maybe it’s the understeer that you write about. Look at the tyres and how much psi are you using it.
Yeah the car was not that pleasant to drive around this time. Tires play some role, but I also changed so setting in my suspension to avoid so much body pitch and ended up with a more understeery car. It's fixed now :)

At 3:45 you were holding up the IS, if someone had done that to you, you'd be posting on TH-cam about it with a clicky title in the thumbnail.
I currently have a GR Yaris and I have had for a while a 2JZ GTE IS300, so I can say for sure that my IS300 (which was heavily modified) would absolutely clearly and significantly walk right away from the Yaris even if the Yaris were slightly modified.
Love your videos but I just thought I'd mention that perhaps you should either be more careful not to hold people up or not have a go at them online when they do that to you.
Apologies if it comes across as though I'm angry or having a go at you. I'm not just providing you with some advice.
Also, I found thevysris faster in the corners than the Lexus.
Pleas don't forget that objects appear bigger in the review mirror than they are in reality, I.e., things will seem closer than what they are. Yes the Lexus got close into Adenau Forst and then lost a bit of distance again. As I saw him being faster in the corners, I let him by in Breidscheid. Between Adenau and there the Lexus never got close again ;). You see me pretty attempting on my mirrors and I signal fast cars by. You can complain about a lot of things on me, that I don't let faster cars by is not a fair criticism.
Dude your not going as quick as normal your corner speed was way down are your tyres OK you normally hit the corners so hard

It's the naturally aspirated version. But yeah the Yaris 3 pot is a strong engine ✌️
