if youre sub 30 then you probably need to work on using inpsection time to solve a cross and/or efficiently/correctly inserting f2l pairs. you may also need to slow down and solve with low tps; since a typical cfop solve has about 60 moves, if you turn at 2 turns per second you can still achieve a 30 second time.

Yaaaass, new PB just a couple days after watching this video _again_ and actually paying better attention 😛. I've just crossed the 2min mark but I was stuck there in that 1:35-2:00 range for quite a while. Got a better hang of 3-2-3 from this video and after a couple days of solves I got 1:17.85 (down from 1:32, so pretty big jump).
Now if I can just get better at _seeing_ the first 3 cross edges. That seems to be the place I struggle the most. I don't know what it is. I just can't _see_ the damn pieces 🧐

So far, I've def improved my 4x4 skills just by solving a lot and noticing little things I can do more efficiently. But overall my solves are still haphazard in a lot of places. PB is 2:11.29. Gonna have to woodshed some new techniques to get sub-2 mins. I think I'll feel accomplished if I can get down to sub-1:30. Sub-1 min would be spectacular but I have my doubts as to whether that's possible for me personally.
Eh, where're my old cubers out there? I'm 41. I know I'll never be that impressive but I enjoy working on it. Just doin it for the love of the cube!

@@sheeplegend1324 10s is great. Sub-10 seems to be one of the biggest milestones. I'm right on the cusp of sub-20 but there's a lot of variation in my solves. PB is 13.47. That was last Feb (2021) and I didn't get another 13 until a few weeks ago. Then I got a few of them over the past few weeks. Another thing you could do for the double swap algorithm is put the edges that need to be swapped in opposite edge slots (i.e. one edge in FL and the other in BR, while the other pair is in FR and BL) then do Uw2 then two edge flip algs, one on the FL slot and the other on the FR slot, then do a Uw2. tbh thats what i would do just to start off, but i might end up using your version further down the road.

11:27 you missed a L2E pair which is diagonal from its counterparts

Yeah, I thought so too, he placed it in the description (second algorithm from process of elimination (I haven’t tried it yet but I assume that’s it)).
