my god what a revolutionary script....to integrate something like a "deja vu", a concept of our actual daily life that we can't feel like we can explain, and make it as a REASON in this universe that it happens because the sumulation changes something, drawing you even more into its story. BRILLIANT script
You should learn what deja vu actually is it's super cool. It quite literally is a glitch in our brain. When you have deja vu looking at a specific thing or place, you haven't actually been there before or seen it before it's happening almost instantaneously, our brains just work that quickly
That's what happens when the main character gets written like a God. Stakes get too high and major events like deja vu seems worthless to Neo in the sequel.
Yeah, that lighting from beneath always gives off a sinister vibe, but combine that with Hugo Weaving's distinctly "sharp" facial features and downward-facing eyebrows and you got something truly villanous looking
I love when Morpheus asked Cypher for his phone, he went through his pockets and knew that he would have to make up some excuse he didnt have it suddenly...which would have drawn suspecion onto him but Trinity gave hers first...Great details
Mouse's death is badass on its own, but more badass when you consider. A. Morepheus had already warned Neo (and us) "Everyone who had stood their ground. Everyone who has fought an agent has died." B. Mouse probably went for the guns and, in his mind, hoped that the sound of his shooting (and being shot) would alert the rest that the agents were there.
You guys don’t remember Moose from The Matrix (1999)? I guess the Agents deleted the files from your mind. He went out swinging with those dual brass knuckles. I’ll never forget Moose.
This movie had grounding and levity compared to the sequels. The others became overblown and obsessed with effects when they needed that Noir and more grounded in the real world.
Absolutely. It's just like Judgement Day for me. In my opinion, there hasn't been a sequel to Judgement Day yet. And there hasn't been a sequel to the original Matrix either.
Living in 2024 where our source of entertainment is tik tok or instagram, I feel this incomparable feeling of nostalgia or happiness when I come back and watch a clip from the matrix. Like a flood of memories that instantly take me back to how I used to see this movie as a child. The aesthetic, the mirrors edge vibe type feel, idk if I'm making any sense but what a time to have been alive.
"i just had a deja vu" "What did you see ?" "Same cat twice" "Tha'ts not a deja vu, that's a glitch in the matrix. A deja vu is the feeling of seeing something like you already seen in the past, not actually seeing the same thing twice"
Lol, yeah he was laying it on a little too thick there wasn't he? Something tells me he wouldn't have made it as an actor in his "second life" in the matrix
The way Apoc spins the gun as he hands it to Neo though. When someone asks me to hand them something I always spin it first beforehand. Like a bottle bottled drink, pen or the tv remote 😎
The trigger guard will keep you from letting the pistol go off, the Centrifugal force will keep you from accidental discharging the pistol. I practiced unloaded of course at 1st and then full mags one in the chamber and nothing… especially if you have a safety. That pistol looked like a sig 226 those usually have safety’s. However if it’s a 229 mine has no safety. I own both and have tried with both, it’s doable you just have to know what you’re doing. Playing with loaded firearms is no joke make no mistake.
Just had a Deja Vu right now. A middle aged man and his daughter walk past and then 2 minutes later the same man and daughter walk past in exactly the same direction, the same dance the little girl was doing again as she walked. 😮 I said "Deja Vu" as they walked past. My wife witness it too. We can't explain.
I really appreciate Trinity answering Neos question honestly. If she were written in the modern day she would've ignored him or dodged the question and shut him up.

The last time I pulled out a structural drawing to find a specific room, of an 8 block campus I had first look through a drawing list, to get the right block and then find the right floor and then the right detailed floor plan because the general floor plan doesn't give enough detail. Then god forbid the room you are looking for is cut in the middle and continues on floor plan CS/C7-A209B which you then have dig out and align to tell what the hell is in the room.
The scene where he tries to escape through the windows only to see brick walls and realizing he was trapped with agents on the way was absolutely fucking terrifying to witness as a child. It's still a scary scenario. Awesome scene
I once had an experience similar to this. I threw the cat out the kitchen, face facing away. It moved backwards back into the kitchen, without turning around or moving it's legs. it just slid backwards like it was on an ice rink. No cat ever moves like that. I thought of this scene in that moment.

3. Shots made it clear to others that the top of the ambush so he warned the rest at the cost of his life. Mouse is a hero.
especially automatic shotgun ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I can't even begin to comprehend the amount of recoil he endured when he opened fire on them with both of the automatic shotguns. Must be tons, especially with dual-wields.
Definitely one of the best movies ever, and the special effects still hold up today.
2:43 Loved how the lights from down below made his shades cast shadows on his forehead, looking like a devil with horns...
As badass Mouse was, I cant help noticing he couldnt even hit the guys right at front of him.
Two awesome guns and he can't even land a shot.
Mouse had less power and the guns were way too heavy.
I would love to see most of the commentors try and dual weild those effectively while staring 10 swat officers down taking shots with barely enough time to stand up to start with. See how many get anything off while they fumble the safety and trying to figure out how to chamber and engage the action, while simultaneously trying to figure out your dexterity and hand placement on gun, all in time to get no shots off and looking like a bitch compared to mouse.
@@garythesquidsquid7779 I'd love to see *YOU* do it. Hell, I wouldn't even try. At most, I'd take ONE of them and try to get some cover, maybe behind that giant fucking box that he pulled them from.

Man I felt bad for Mouse. Morpheus’s reaction at 1:15 says it all he knew Mouse was dead. Morpheus must have been badly affected by Mouse’s death since he was the youngest one on his crew.
He probably did but he also knew it wasnt time to panic in any way possible right now, he had to stay focused on getting the rest of them out and they can grief later
That’s why Morpheus is badass.
Funny how we never see Morpheus say a word about Switch, Apoc, or Dozer though after they die. Minor characters, but still.
Well by the time he got back from the Matrix he had just escaped from being captured and he was worried that Neo was still plugged in.
my god what a revolutionary script....to integrate something like a "deja vu", a concept of our actual daily life that we can't feel like we can explain, and make it as a REASON in this universe that it happens because the sumulation changes something, drawing you even more into its story. BRILLIANT script
You should learn what deja vu actually is it's super cool. It quite literally is a glitch in our brain. When you have deja vu looking at a specific thing or place, you haven't actually been there before or seen it before it's happening almost instantaneously, our brains just work that quickly
That's not how deja vu works tho
blow it out your ass@@puzzle_girl47
@@puzzle_girl47
Exactly. That's not Deja vu.
facts
Loved deja vu glitches in Matrix and hoped to see more in the sequels but nope.
Forget about the sequels. To me, they're not even canon.
The sequels were not exactly what you wanted them to be. You are butthurt, and that is all there is.
The brothers who made the matrix are ladies now!
James they are still men they are woman in their fucked up minds
That's what happens when the main character gets written like a God. Stakes get too high and major events like deja vu seems worthless to Neo in the sequel.
Tank’s face when Mouse died 😫
I like how at 2:43 the shadows make Agent Smith look even more evil here.
Make him pay
like demon horns above his eyes... symbolism
Yeah, that lighting from beneath always gives off a sinister vibe, but combine that with Hugo Weaving's distinctly "sharp" facial features and downward-facing eyebrows and you got something truly villanous looking
2:05 Tank's keycaps aren't even labelled. He's a pro gamer confirmed

knowing that Cypher knows he betrayed the team and set them up to have morpheus captured, is sick.
That "I hope the oracle gave you good news" was a line that made this scene. Man how awkward that must of felt for Neo
I love when Morpheus asked Cypher for his phone, he went through his pockets and knew that he would have to make up some excuse he didnt have it suddenly...which would have drawn suspecion onto him but Trinity gave hers first...Great details
Look at that tension, the music..the feeling of dread...all missing from the new Matrix movie
Mouse's death is badass on its own, but more badass when you consider.
A. Morepheus had already warned Neo (and us) "Everyone who had stood their ground. Everyone who has fought an agent has died."
B. Mouse probably went for the guns and, in his mind, hoped that the sound of his shooting (and being shot) would alert the rest that the agents were there.
Who the hell is Moose?
@@Dr.Ticklebum69 Typing error. Thanks for correcting.

And there hasn't been a sequel to the original Matrix either.
i missed Tank not being in the sequels. Definitely a character that was needed for the sequels IMO.
Yes I would totally love if they kept the same Tank from the first Matrix. I don't enjoy the new operator Link.
I like the detail of cypher not having his phone when Morpheus asks for one
It’s so crazy how much better of a film this was that the new thing like truly this was something they cared about

'glitch in the matrix'
one of the most iconic line in 21st century
This movie technically came out during the 20th century though, lol. But yea, it's still super iconic, even today ;)

"What did you see ?"
"Same cat twice"
"Tha'ts not a deja vu, that's a glitch in the matrix. A deja vu is the feeling of seeing something like you already seen in the past, not actually seeing the same thing twice"
The entire cast of this one was the best. Every single character was memorable
You'd think if Deja Vu was such a serious thing, they'd tell him immediately.
When Tank trains Neo, he literally skips over the operation programs because he says it's boring and goes straight to combat training.
0:53 - 1:08 his gun box magically multiplies by 3 and grows to double the size.
I wonder if that’s a continuity error or an intentional change to make the protagonists seem more adept and bending the rules of the Matrix.
Wow I never notices that
1:45 that's what they changed, we're trapped, there's no way out.
Cypher sounding completely natural and not like a traitor or anything.
Lol, yeah he was laying it on a little too thick there wasn't he? Something tells me he wouldn't have made it as an actor in his "second life" in the matrix
All these years I didn't realize Cypher was looking for his phone when Morpheus was asking for it even though I knew he threw it in the trash.
Are you a man or a mouse?
Both!

Nice catch.
Tank has more excellent face and voice acting in one movie than Neo in all three combined)
Operators like Tank must have crazy next-level Googling skills.
It also could be a function of penetration into certain aspects of the Matrix itself, like how the rendering engine itself builds the building.
1:51 - No matter how many times i replay; my mind refuses to believe he actually takes his glasses off here.
The way Apoc spins the gun as he hands it to Neo though. When someone asks me to hand them something I always spin it first beforehand. Like a bottle bottled drink, pen or the tv remote 😎
then that's why we do that
Bad idea. There's a thing called a trigger.
Playing with loaded firearms is no joke make no mistake.
the cat is a great actor!!
🍷 Agreed..
He Was Like "This Is My Time".
Neo: "Deja Vu"
The Group. "Lock and load!"
I like how the cat is shot from two slightly different angles so that we see the same cat from where Neo is looking at him as he walks by.
Man, I love Tank. He’s so invested.
Don't worry, he didn't die, he simply left this level of Matrix.
2019-this movie is now 20 years old. Still one of the best movies.
25 years now.

Remember seeing “The Matrix” in the theater.
This was such a epic part of the movie because you can tell how scared they all are
I really appreciate Trinity answering Neos question honestly. If she were written in the modern day she would've ignored him or dodged the question and shut him up.

What glasses did he take off?
I’m confused
Derrick Roseman he took something off of them.
He wears multiple glasses.
Take a good look. He takes off the glasses but his eyes are hidden in shadows that look like glasses. Look at 2:16. Light shines on his face and you can see hes not wearing glasses
He actually took them off if you look closely
Yet another glitch in the matrix
We can all agree here the Mouse went out like a True "G" ✊🔥🔥💯💯
Probably one of the best, if not the best scene in the Matrix Trilogy.
The Best Sci Fi Movie Ever.
This part creeped me tf out before.
They say its a glitch in the matrix with that deja vu...
So the suspense music, the black cat showing up 2x, mouse dying and so much blood and watching this when i was 7... Had to be creepy for others the first time watching
Edit: what i love about the matrix is the dual wielding the always did in all 3 movies
Mouse went out like a worrier.
- Oh, Deja Vu.

The scene where he tries to escape through the windows only to see brick walls and realizing he was trapped with agents on the way was absolutely fucking terrifying to witness as a child. It's still a scary scenario. Awesome scene
This scene scared me a lot back then. It still does.
"Was it the same cat?"
"Might've been, I'm not sure"
"Switch, Apoc"
*Switch and Apoc ready their weapons*
Me: jesus Morpheus, it's just a cat
I once had an experience similar to this. I threw the cat out the kitchen, face facing away.
It moved backwards back into the kitchen, without turning around or moving it's legs. it just slid backwards like it was on an ice rink. No cat ever moves like that.
I thought of this scene in that moment.
Glad they brought this cat back for the sequel. They even used the same sound effect!
Yeah! Someone noticed too
Mouse's automatic shotguns are still the most badass thing I've seen come out of the 90's
This one scene alone is better than the new matrix
Mouse should have dropped that whole team with that custom automatic shotgun.
