Wonderful that you had no vomiting. Only nausea. Could be worse. Jake will just have to take up the slack. I am sure he be willing to help out. Has he ever had any kids? The baby won't care what color his/her clothes are. I am so excited.

My friend just visited our home this week. She’s toward the end of her second trimester and also recommended Ina May’s books! I (and many of my friends) have been told scary, medicalized stories about giving birth…It is so important for women to hear positive, empowering birth stories as well, so we can envision and manifest that energy.

Congratulations! My son is 4.5 and he is just an amazing addition to the world, I cannot imagine life without him. I wasn't sure if I wanted another, like you said, with the state of the world it was a hard "no", but then along with those thoughts I saw how lonely my son was with covid and decided to give him a sibling. He's getting a little sister in less than 8 weeks.

Congratulations! Ina May Gaskin’s books you chose are amazing. Her advice about allowing yourself to vocalize during labor was very helpful during my midwife assisted birth ~20 years ago. You have an incredibly exciting journey ahead of you! Motherhood changes you in ways you can’t begin to anticipate but will be forever grateful. Enjoy!
Congratulations, I’m so happy for you both!! I wanted to share what I wish someone would have told me during my pregnancies. 1) Nipple shields are your friend and will help so much especially if the baby is having trouble latching 2) A breast feeding pillow is a must for your back 3) This is the most important, that no doctor or nurse etc told me, during my two pregnancies is exercising your pelvic floor properly, as well as relaxing it. This will help your postpartum healing and prevent you from have any prolapse during labor.
Get yourself a yoga ball to sit on and roll side to side while in labor. It decreases the low back and tailbone pain and it speeds up the labor a lot. Just make sure you have something to hold onto as you roll side to side while sitting on that ball.
Its just unfair how life is.
Jake got rich on being a fraudster, scamming poor people who wanted to be able to defend themselves.

I absolutely loved your parents reaction to hearing the great news! It took me back to my daughter and son-in-law telling me I was going to be a grandma. There is no better job in the world than being a grandparent! Send your parents my congratulations too! I happy for them as well. ❤️

Just a week ago my youngest daughter left the house. So me and my wife are in a way at the end of this beautiful journey you two just started. Being a man it's hard to even imagine what pregnancy feels like. I'm sure it must be amazing. I was very much expecting though! It still makes me feel warm inside remembering the very first time I could feel that creature moving inside my wife's belly. I remember how my wife hanging in my arms gave birth to my eldest daughter in the same room we still sleep every night. It's by far the most beautiful experience of my life. I was lucky to live that miracle a second time a couple of years later. Home births are quite common here in the Netherlands. If you and your baby are healthy it is a wonderful way to welcome him or her into this life.
Take the time to be aware of this adventure, both of you. You will carry it in your hearts for the rest of your life.
I hope it goes without saying that I congratulate you two and wish you a wonderful pregnancy/expectancy.

Well it has been 31 years since I had my first baby and I did have her with a midwife and home birth. It was the best experience! Blessings to you and your little family. I enjoy your videos.
Such a wonderful way of life. When you get to 68yrs, just an old hippie, I’m living the today life. But I always wanted a different way of life. Yada, yada, yada!!! I wish you all the best for you, your partner and the baby. My only advice is chill..don’t sweat the small stuff and mostly enjoy every stage of your lives.☮️💟

Congratulations, I've been waiting for your announcement! I'm 74, had 2 home births, and Ina Mae Gaskin's book was a huge influence for me. As a former OB nurse. I think pregnant women are beautiful. And, you are glowing.
What a happy time for you both! I perked up when you shared your book Spiritual Midwifery. It was the first book I read given to me by my midwife. It was a wonderful adventure culminating in my 1st born on March 12, 1978! That book has stood the test of time. Life is a journey and then there's new life. Congratulations!

Congrats to you. I am a mom of 6 all natural. It requires focus but you being the person you are focus will not be a problem. Does it hurt, hell yes. But that is where the facus comes in to play. Your child will be loved. This baby will have great parents. You and Jake will do well. Study, study. Remember knowledge is power. After you have gone through it once the 2nd time is much easier. Again congrats I am happy for uou.

Congrats Nicole and Jake. Super excited for you. I’m a professional women in my late fifties and have followed both your channels for a long time. I am holistic and vegan and love that so much about both of you. I’m enchanted by your magical homestead. My kids are grown now and the best thing I did was keep the gender of each child a surprise. I remember having them put that in my medical charts so no one would slip up lol. My thought was - in my entire life there will never be a bigger surprise or joy so I fostered that and so happy you are too. I had similar experiences in my first three months - on/off nausea and tiredness. When it went away I was off and running. I loved being pregnant and savoured every moment. I can’t wait to watch you experience all the joys and challenges ahead. Love and hugs from Toronto.
Labor and giving birth naturally is the most difficult, but also the most rewarding thing you'll ever do in your life as a woman. And the overwhelming rush of love you feel the moment your baby is born is like nothing you ever have or ever will experience in your life. There truly aren't words that can adequately describe that feeling. Have screenings to rule out the slight chance any complications for peace of mind, but remember, we're built to do this. You can and will have beautiful birth.

Congratulations on this new adventure! I know you are careful about the materials you use. I make wool diaper covers for cloth diapering. Do you use wool products? I would love to make you some covers, which when treated with lanolin keep baby dry. It is what our ancestors used back in the day when off grid was the common way of life! Anyway, enjoy the journey you are on and let me know if that is something you could use. I would love to send you some covers.
The baby onesies are absolutely prefect! That is why color dying is so fun! We did this at my grandsons baby shower. Everyone tie dye several onesies.

Nichole, first, congratulations on your pregnancy. Second, watch Tova and Mathias on their TH-cam channel, Talasbuan. They live off grid in Sweden and documented the home birth of their first child. A doula assisted with the birth and it was a beautiful vlog (part 2 is where they describe the home birth experience). I think that you will enjoy watching their home birth (the two vlogs are graphic, emotional, and lovely).

I am by no means a crunchy momma or holistic persay... but I do strongly believe that less is more with pregnancy and childbirth. Listening to your body and really trusting your intuition. I had all 3 of my kids in a hospital unmedicated and while that wasnt my favorite haha it can be done and my recovery was better with each child. My nursing got better with each one as well. For you I do have one recommendation; using handsfree breast pumps, willow, elvie, amazon brand they go right into a sports bra/nursing bra and are amazing for maintaining your work life balance and providing milk for your baby.
So happy for you and that your first trimester wasnt a horror story because they can be for sure. My guess based on low nausea is a baby boy.

I enjoy reading about perinatal psychology and the baby's experience in the womb... what they hear, learn, sense etc. One book I have is "the miraculous world of your unborn baby" or something by David Chamberlain. That title is kind of old but still interesting! Blessings to you and your family 💗
I had a certified nurse-midwives for both of my deliveries. They were actually a team that worked in an ob/gyn office. I wouldn’t have it any other way. I was 19 when my son was born and Karen, my midwife, made my delivery wonderful. Other numbing medicine for stitches and a shot for bleeding. My birth was completely unmedicated. It was amazing midwives are the best!!! They help you to listen to your body and they listen to you when you feel your body telling you something!! My son will be 38 and I still remember his birth like it was yesterday it was that amazing!!! I’m sure the fact that my actual pain was only 1-2 hours long before he was born helped a lot. But that time was very intense also!!

Nicole girl It is so funny how you ask about home births, my step daughter had a sister-n-law going into birth as she was over visiting her sister-n-law wanted to have the baby at home so she called me and ask me what to do! I told her where is she right now! Setting in a chair! Have her lay on a bed with 2 pillows under her back and neck. Raise her feet up and apart. Have her relaxe! As the baby starts to push she needs to push as the babies head comes out take a syringe noniddle and suck the liquid from the babies mouth! Then as she pushes the baby all the way out you are to put the clamp on the umbilical cord then cut above it! Wright dow the time! After that take warm cloths and wash the baby! Momma will push again to get the after birth out!! She did every thing as I told her and then called the 🚑 after she was done!! They told her she did very well!!

I'm super enjoying following you with your Positivity guiding you 😊 through the process of making dyes for the baby clothes and the blanket!! You have so many talents and when you use the blanket you will always know how much love, time and effort you have put into it!! When I found out I made my clothes as well as the babie's. I knitted & crocheted blankets, stocking caps, booties and the memories of those precious times are wonderful especially since he's ❤ 💖 48 with an 18yr old graduating this year & a 17yr who survived 💙 being born with a rare illness. I kept up with yoga & exercises and gave birth about 3 weeks past my due date and I did it natural childbirth and was So Glad to have my husband and I witness ❤ that very Special and Happy 😊 moment together!!! You & Jake are going to enjoy this beautiful 😍 💕 Time but most importantly YOU WILL BE PHENOMENAL PARENTS 💙 ❤!!!! I'm beginning my life journey in the 70's decade and so glad that I have those precious moments!!!

When you first found out, you had a feeling it would be a girl…. So I’m guessing it’s a girl. I predicted all 3 of my children even though the doctors told me that my youngest daughter was a boy on all 3 ultrasounds. Congratulations 🎉
