I was tuning mine two weeks ago and the auger point slipped of the wood block grabbed my pant leg and carved a nice gash on top of foot. Took the stitches out this morning and completed the tune up. Be careful,I was lucky that my son hit the kill switch right away or they’d be calling me stumpy by now.
Mine doesnt have the nipple coming from the diaphragm cover, its just an open hole. I cleaned and rebuilt it with all new parts and it only runs when i spray in starting fluid
I have had a 30 for ever. With today's gas I change my diaphragm yearly they are cheap. As far as cleaning use combustion chamber cleaner it eats the goop great. I also have gone to Amsoil and run 50 to 1. Mine runs better and makes more power than 30 years ago when it was new
I ran 100 to 1 Amsoil which is 8ozs per 22 liters of gas for 30 years and put that mix in all my two strokes engines and I never get dry shut off and the spark plug last forever
Thanks for the great video guys.
