Great job of explaining everything- I’m planning on buying the exact same set up you have, thank you & I will do exactly the same modification you did.
I hear a clicking from your roll, when ur feeding your wire through your gun. I have a similar clicking on mine but have notice on other films, no clicking. I heard you say u have two other Millermatic, do they make that similar sound? I’m asking because I recent purchased one and it has that loud outta place clicking and it’s bothering me. Idk it the all do that or if something’s wrong
For decades and decades everybody used Lincoln welders. In recent years everybody uses Miller welders. I learnt to weld on Lincoln welders and anything that I ever welded has been with a Lincoln welder, I don't see what is wrong with Lincoln.
They make excellent machines both companies. However the Miller 211 has almost no learning curve. Which makes it very appealing to your hobbyists and shops that just need to buzz stuff together without worrying about structural integrity.
I just hooked mine up using the supplied metric screw --- no problem --- I tightened it up plenty tight with a metric wrench.
Wonderful

I do believe the millermatic 211 is a chinese-made machine???? Definitely correct me if I'm wrong...🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
I'm not sure with the switch being on the back I know it's made for European export so you could be right...
