I was a little grumpy this morning, but this friendly guy just made it all better. Nice to breathe looking at him. And I had the thought, "if I can feel this warm towards some shapes and lines that vaguely resemble a face and a body on the screen, surely I can be kinder to actual people around me today." Thank you, Mark.
Merci beaucoup 🙏 pour cette méditation en silence qui me permet de graduer mon temps avant d aller au travail et de rester dans méditation bien connecté au temps présent.
I thought I forgot to play the video. I opened my eyes to check my phone and, to my surprise, there was only one minute left! This was so relaxing, the perfect way to start my day😍 Thank you!
i mean, the bell every 5min is good too. but what dumbfounds is that the first video that shows up for me for silent meditation on TH-cam has a bell every 30s!!! ew
Bien le bonjour à vous, l'expe'rience..d'une me'ditation sans musique. Waouh ge'nial. .incroyable l'orsque l'on a terminé. . ( on ce retrouve d'un calme absolu. ✌✌✌🌺😊🌞🌎🌸"merci beaucoups, belle journée à vous et pour tous. ..🌞"merci
thank you for this video because i like meditating in silence but the bell is such a good ending as opposed to the electronic beeping of my phone timer
Thank you so much. I just never really could be comfortable with the silence after just setting a timer. This silence feels so much better. Btw how did you record such a good silence?
Say you're doing the bodyscan and for every bodypart you're scanning there come pictures of illness produced by OCD. Do you stop the practice or how do you deal with those pictures if you're afraid they could have an effect?
+1Kilili It's that last sentence where you can spot the challenge--the fear that they could have an effect if you don't "deal" with them. Any thought or feeling that pops into your head while doing a body scan is no different than any other sensation we experience. For instance, if you heard a noise outside, you could choose to give your attention to that or not. But if you judge it as dangerous and you judge the possible outcome of that noise as something you don't want to experience, then it's only natural that you would start to think about it and it would interrupt your meditation practice. This applies to things happening outside of your head and inside of your head. The challenge doesn't come from the pictures, it comes from judging them. But you don't have to deal with them anymore than you would have to deal with a sound you heard or the sensation of your leg touching the surface you're lying on. Running into this challenge can expose useful areas to explore beliefs and throw out the ones that aren't helping you. With illness, I found it most helpful to change beliefs around death.
Thank you, it's a good point you're making ! I don't judge it as dangerous. My OCD points to passages in b ooks and audiobooks that point to the possibility of their having and effect. That's when anxiety kicks in and I'm tempted to end the meditation. So II will have to accept that judgement, not judging it in turn. What precisely has changed in terms of your judgment of death? You're not afraid of it anymore ?
It's not bad or good. If you want to learn how to meditate for longer, that's something you can do. It's like any practice. There's no reason you'd have the skill to do something you haven't practiced. But if you practice, then you'll have the skill to practice more.
I must say, in silence the mind still wonders off here there and everywhere. Are there any suggestions, how we controll the thoughts going everywhere, when in silence??? Thanks.
It is simply being a brain. Also, it can be useful to explore how to invite the brain to sit down in silence with us. It could be useful to explore styles of meditation techniques, like Just Sitting / Silent Illumination meditation, which is popular in the Soto Zen school. I found it a helpful way to show the brain it doesn't need to go anywhere.
@@everybodyhasabrain thank you for your reply. I still say, we all need to have focus point to sit still. Please explain further. When you are still THOUGHTS ARE STILL COMING AND GOING LIKE A TRAFFIC. So HOW DO YOU STILL THE DEAR MIND?THANK YOU.💐💐💐
@shagufta sheikh It's not necessary to have a focus point. There are entire meditation traditions and schools of Buddhist meditation that don't use a focus point.
Hi there Mark.... I always watch your videos and its helping me overcome my OCD. ....thanks bro I want to know that why is it that whenever I meditate I fall into a deep sleep?....am I doing something wrong mate?
I finally found the perfect meditation guide with absolutely no one guiding except the sound of the bell. Brilliant and thank you for that.

The ad at the end is quite distracting. Maybe you can move it to the beginning? I stepped out of the trance a little startled by the noise

+1Kilili A lot of things have changed. It's a useful topic to explore.
That would be a nice topic for a nice video, just saying!
Go deeper. Feel anxious. Watch the anxiety and accept it. Notice that it's just a part of your experience and doesn't define you.
way cool...Ty much
What time does it start?
I did it for 3 minutes and stopped is that bad?

Can you upload for one hour too
Thank u :^)
Hi there Mark....
I always watch your videos and its helping me overcome my OCD. ....thanks bro
I want to know that why is it that whenever I meditate I fall into a deep sleep?....am I doing something wrong mate?
I found it useful to explore the skill of resting with awareness. It takes practice. And sit up!
@@everybodyhasabrain Thanks for that advice bro. ....have a blessed weekend
how did this not get demonetize
Why would it???
it was so quiet yet so loud how-
Bark! 20:27
235k views for a bell and stick figure. Dang
The stick figure is really cute, though. And silence is an increasingly rare luxury.
Could have done without the cat joining me 😒
@@benstewart9326 The cat wants to participate, too!
Perfect, exactly what I was looking for
