I just had to pop on and say I love hearing how your mind is shifting as you think about the things in your home and the things you spend your time on. While I am a VERY impatient person your journey has reminded me of how the journey kind of starts to have a snowball effect - gathering more and more as it rolls down hill. As you head into fireplace "season" I would try to put a little more emphasis on obvious personal papers that you can dispose of. My tip of the day.
Emma keep going ! You’re doing an incredible job !! Those cupboards are fabulous storage . Just keep in mind the fewer items you have , the more time you have . Sending love 💐🥰💐
Hi Emma, I'm from Manchester and have been watching your videos for a few months but first time commenting. You are making amazing progress and the storage cupboards in your attic room are massive. As Christmas is fast approaching could you move all the Christmas stuff into the playroom temporarily until it is time to put the decorations up and then move the suitcases into the seasonal cupboard giving you more space to sort items. You will then have until early January to create enough space in the seasonal cupboard for the Christmas stuff to go back in!
Hello lovely Emma 👋 Bea from Australia here 🇦🇺 giving an update as requested, my nerve pain in my arm is improving but very very slowly. Still very painful. Patience truly is a virtue. Emma you amaze me at how much you get done in a day, it's like you have a never ending energy supply, it's just wonderful and so motivating 💖 I am trying to stay positive and making a decluttering plan for next year, hopefully when I can use both arms again. I have a whole house to declutter, thinking I will start next year with the kitchen, then bathroom and then laundry as I think it might be easier to start with less sentimental items, in order to start some momentum. I have loads and loads of paperwork, thinking of leaving that til very last 😂 Thank you for your kind words and support, sometimes it's all a person needs. Keep up the great work, your videos are so comforting 💜 Bea
Oh I love those rag dolls! So clever, the way their legs move. I hope your husband does fix the lights in your cupboard; it looks like it holds so much stuff and I’d love to see how big it is! Also maybe he could rig it to where you could somehow signal for help if you get stuck in there. 😅 love your videos. ❤

Yes, please show a video of this back area with the toilet and don't worry about it being horrific. Most of us have probably seen worse. I've been trying to picture this area for some time, trying to imagine size and location and how it could be utilized better for your situation. So, yes, please video it. I'm sure there are others here that will have some excellent ideas to help you make it more useful. Also, when I was a kid, we still had to use the outhouse on my grandparents' farm. Plenty of dirt, leaves, cobwebs and unfortunately, spiders. Also, the occasional mouse. Pizzelles are actually considered Italian Waffle cookies. I think the Italian ones are vanilla flavored, whereas I make mine with almond extract and sometimes with anise extract. The almond ones are the favorite. You need a Pizzelle iron to make them and once they are off the iron, you can roll them up while still warm, if you choose. I leave them flat and dust with a little powdered sugar. They are nice and crispy and not too sweet. I wish I could make banana bread for everyone. I used to put flax seed in it and wheat germ, but I can't have flax seed anymore, so I stick with the standard type of recipe.
@@raneemilliman7130 I will clean it out first 🤣🤣. The leaves certainly accumulate! For a while I stored the stuff from the shed in there as we took down a shed and had a new one set up. But now I just have a screen and a camping fridge out there.

@@gettingtidy2495 Luckily i have photos of my bedroom from when I was about 8 or 9, with me and a friend playing with some of those toys, so I can just keep the pictures and the memories and not have the stuff. We moved house when I was about 11, so lots of those toys were packed up and then never unpacked in the new house... and I think then taken to car boot/ charity shop. I'm still friends with someone that I was friends with when I was 8, and from time to time we send each other photos of those 80s/90s toys and get all nostalgic! They don't make toys the same these days... modern carebears and my little ponies are a bit scary looking I think!
Oh my goodness! That cupboard is huge! Wasn’t it scary back in there? What if something spooky grabbed you, pulled you in and we never saw you again??Haha!🤪
Omg, was that a bag of your old toys? I had a care bear, I had a sunshine bear! Do you remember elaroo and puffalump? I also had starbright, teddy ruxbin and count duckula. I'm 42, I think we are of similar age. Do you remember these toys?

@gettingtidy2495 I do my taxes online so they keep records. I never saved power bills after they were paid either. You have several businesses, which I'm sure generates a lot of paperwork.
I would be reluctant to move your washer out of sight. From what you’ve shown of your personality I think that the outdoor loo would be too much out of sight and out of mind and your washing would be forgotten. Washing up and drying clothes are very much normal household things and aren’t clutter. I don’t think you should be worried about them as long as you’re maintaining doing the pots and putting the clean clothes away. You live in a family home not a show home.
If your daughter looks for the parachute for the teddy bear every year, I would store it in her room or playroom and make it her responsibility. Karen, I read your comment about being a rendition and somehow I missed what it said about Falls Church. This location has always been on my bucket list because it served as a recruiting station during the American Revolution and as a hospital for wounded Union troops during the American Civil War. On my dad's paternal side one of his ants aunts married a man who was a cousin to my grandpa. So one of my second cousins has done a lot of research about his German roots, which are also mine since we are so closely related. They lived in Northern Germany, were mostly farmers and Lutheran. My maiden name was also changed when our ancestors immigrated to America. Also, my mom's maiden name is also common in Germany, with the same spelling, although her ancestors came from Denmark. Elsie from West Virginia also lives in a very beautiful state! Thank you so much for sharing your guy and your Guy Fawkes celebration with us! Off to listen to more of a historical mystery based on a female pathologist from 1910 London!
@@gettingtidy2495I would love to visit outside of the United States. My husband and I had been planning a trip to England to watch the St. Louis Cardinals play in London. My two friends that I will probably travel with internationally are staying close to home now as their mother has pretty severe dementia.
