Looking forward to it... And YES it's got to go.. Into your car and charity shop, I got my Son to bring all of the stuff in my loft area down to my spare bedroom (his old room) and I unboxed and unwrapped it all, retro and vintage things that I've carted from home to home and I've lived here 26yrs 😐 and I donated the LOT Barr a Beatles plate to a local cat sanctuary as they have a curiosity shop, they were over the moon with it all and I know I could of got a few pounds for some of it, but I know I'd of never gotten round to all the messing about of putting it on marketplace etc, it was wonderful to do and it will make them some money for the cat's, I'm a mad cat woman and the charity only gets money from public donations, now all that is in my loft is a small Xmas tree and a few decs, and all my Son's toys 🙀😂 he is 36 years old, I can't do it I've told him he has to take them and do as he wishes.. My Swedish death clean is complete and I have a charity bag on the go to drop anything in it I don't want nor need.. You have to be brutally honest with your things and the families things, get rid, give away, clear out the unused and old.. 💐❤

Hi Emma’s . Previously you asked me if we ate roast turkey for Christmas? No . We have honey roasted ham for Christmas. Turkey is for Thanksgiving. You also asked me what is a Chocolate Silk Pie? It’s a French dessert. Rich chocolate filling mixed with whipped cream (like mousse) in a graham cracker crust with whipped cream on top. It’s divine!
My Christmas shopping is done. I bought some new ribbons for my outdoor Christmas wreaths but the parts that hang down need ironing sooo that’s for tomorrow.

Jan in Florida. Sorry, I have missed quite a few of your videos recently as my 90 plus year old father has been in hospital. He is now on care and comfort with Hospice. Don't know what you call end of life care in the UK.
nless you don't count bed linens and towels, I don't understand how you do 2 loads of laundry a week. It is just me and I do 4 - 5 loads a week (bed linens, bath towels, kitchen towels, darks, and lights) plus a cleaning cloth load every couple of weeks. My mom taught me to sort and wash this way.

I laughed about the potato falling out of your curtain! About your luggage, I wonder if any of the pieces or bags can be stored inside each other? Like if you have a big suitcase, will smaller pieces fit inside? Might save you a little bit of space. Our Christmas is very low-drama. It’s just my husband and me and we haven’t exchanged gifts in 36 years we like to save the money for traveling. We usually give a gift to our next-door neighbor. She has 3 college-aged children so I will make cookies or some kind of snack for them. On Christmas Day, I roast a prime rib, and my oldest friend who I’ve known for 66 years, since we were children, comes and has dinner with us. It might sound bleak and sad to some but we are happy! Years of his mother going way way overboard at Christmas left us exhausted with the whole production.

Adding another comment. (since I haven't stolen your comment section quite yet) I am very lucky, as my husband does the laundry. We end up with 2 loads of colored and 1 load of whites each week, not including bedding. Our laundry is in the basement, and it is very difficult for me to go up and down the stairs with my dodgy knees, and he started doing the laundry when we still lived in our townhome, because he didn't like how I folded his work pants. I used to have to watch what he did with certain items of mine, because sometimes they needed a cold gentle wash or something. That would have been for work clothes of mine. I don't work away from home anymore, and my daily clothes and even my "outside in public" clothes are more casual, so I don't worry as much. I do have to tell him when not to dry something in the dryer but, as a whole, he does pretty good. I do help fold and hang etc. The one thing I really liked about the townhome, was the laundry facilities were upstairs, right across from our bedroom. The linen closet was at the end so putting things away was very easy and close at hand. The only thing that needed moved downstairs would be things like kitchen towels etc. I do miss that and wish our laundry was on our main floor, but it is what it is. BTW, you don't need to read my comments on your video. I do get to rambling and I don't want you to waste time reading them when you have things you are sharing with all of us. If people want to, they can read or not read at their own choice. It won't hurt my feelings. 😅

Randomly rewatching some of your videos as I sit here and file away paperwork. Some went into the recycling, but most were filed in their proper month folder until tax time, when I will have to pull it all out and find receipts and donation receipts etc. Then I will wonder why I kept some of the things I kept, just to have to shred or put into the recycling. Yes, I was thinking about you and all of your papers while I did this. For a society that claims to eliminate paper, there does still seem to be an awful lot of it that requires processing of some kind or another, doesn't it?

Hi Emma - I am a new subscriber. I live in Devon and have been watching a lot of your videos while I recover from a back injury. (No cleaning for me at the moment!) I wanted to say how much I agree with you about the books children are reading in school (I don't know if you mentioned the name of the particular book in any of your videos, I keep listening out for it but haven't heard you say it yet.) My daughters are older than yours but a few years ago when they changed the RSE (Relationships and Sex education) curriculum in England I too went to speak to the teachers about what they were teaching - and was met with a lot of blank and frankly condescending looks. I could go into more detail but I just wanted to let you know you're not the only parent who feels as you do. I share your frustration that more don't speak up. Children are only growing up faster these days because adults allow it to happen (and sometimes encourage it.) I've made sure my daughters know that what they're taught in school isn't always correct and that it's ok to have a different opinion. Anyway thanks for keeping me company - I shall continue watching your videos while my back mends! Nic xx

Well don safeguarding your children as we can no longer rely on teachers to do this!
