    Do you own a bread maker? If so, what kind? Also, what is your favorite kind of bread to make? Let us know below!

      I just bought a Oster from good will for $20. It was basically brand new. I'm making my first. Though here's a little tip. I don't know if this is same for breadmakers but when I was making bread.. adding more water helped a lot with texture and gave it a more desired firmness.
      Also try using seltzer water. It may or may not work for you. The cop escaping helps for a more fluffy bread.

    The hook is for removing the paddle out of the bread when you take out of pan. Stick the tiny end into the hole and move it around until it catches the padfle and pull.

    The wire hook you said lifts up the bread pan handle is to pull the paddle out of the bread when it finishes cooking

    • @Thyme4ma
      @Thyme4ma 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The instructions say the hook is to raise the handle. If you use it to remove the paddle you could scratch the non-stick surface. I recommend a wooden spoon handle to remove the paddle.

    I LOVE this cuisinart bread maker - so simple and it makes beautiful bread.
    A cautionary tale though: I live in the high desert and at a high altitude! I used a bread maker recipe for french bread.
    The french bread recipe had very little liquid in it. I did not pay attention to the high altitude suggestion!
    My first bread experience ended up looking like a brain or cauliflower - all little rounds that didn't bake! It was
    hilarious looking and my husband really cracked up looikng at the 'finished brain bread.' I am going to try french bread
    again after I investigate a little further. But overall ...
    I love this breadmaker. Ihaven't tried any of the quick breads or any of the add ins yet, but I'm looking forward to it!
    The other thing I love about it isthat it makes small, medium and large loaves of bread.
    I wish they would include a few extra stirrers!

    Right now, I'm baking a sweet smelling oatmeal bread loaf on my Costco bought Cuisinart bread machine. Never let the loaf cool inside the bread pan. Not only its harder to get it out, but the condensation affects the quality of the bread.

    Love the video. I know it has been a couple years (close to, just a couple months away), and I wondering what else have you made? Thank you for the video. It has helped a lot. Loved the mold warning. I forgot about there not being perservatives. XD
    When watching the process video, I was looking for a whole process video. You have skipped out on a few basic steps that may seem juvenile, but it is important to add them. I have step-by-step anxiety. Meaning, I get stumped and frustrated if something is out of order, not right, goes wrong, goes in a different way than expected, given a curve ball. It stresses me out. XD
    If you decide to another bread making video tutorial, I suggest doing all stages. "This is the first stage of the peeping, you can add your additional ingredients here. We don't plan on that, so continue with the knitting process." ... "Ok, this is the second stage beeping. At this stage, the machine tells you about the option to remove the mixer-handle blade thingy. You can if you want. As we stated earlier in the video about the cons about leaving it in. We are going to leave it in for now. If you wanted it out. Take the dough out, then the mixer-handle blade thingy. Knit the dough by hand into a ball and put it back into the maker. Wa-lah. Continue with the rising step." ... "As you can see on the machine, it says, "rise". When you come back to the machine you will wonder why you don't hear anything. It's because it is during the bread rising stage. So, keep that in mind. Just let it do its thing until the timer goes down to 00:00".

    • @FattysFeasts
      @FattysFeasts  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm glad you enjoyed the video! I too have that same anxiety (which is why I can't stand quick cooking videos on Instagram and Tiktok), so we tried to do our best to go as step by step as possible. I will take that into consideration if another video is made!
      When it comes to other things made, there hasn't been that much more than the typical Italian bread. We did try a sweet bread once that came out pretty well, but haven't done anything really cool like deserts and all that good stuff.

The same if you're making dough. I tip my dough out and 50% of the time the paddle comes with it - same method as above. A lot easier and cleaner than using your fingers. Hello, I've never heard of the "no knead" recipe you mentioned in your other comment. As far as the beeping goes, you are correct that you can remove the paddle during that time. However, the main purpose is to tell you that you can do other stuff to the bread, such as adding other ingredients / seasonings, taking it out and reshaping it, or like you said, removing the paddle.
