Not sure the customer who's car was next to it would be happy. You would think they would move it away from the welding spatter, or put a cover over it. Guys did a great job, respect.
As a footnote, be sure to follow rules of where you plan to race since the video is not showing acceptable installation or gusset rules for some sanctioning bodies.
I'm thinking about making some roll cages. Thanks for the video. I bought an everlast plasma cutter and the welder is on the way. I just need to figure out how I want to bend the tubes.
Custom cages sample cages certification. This video shows the main hoop over the front seats with no bracing then the rear side of the hoop made of sections. I’ve got the same cage as this in a evo 7 and the whole roof collapsed with broken welds nearly killing my self and co driver and custom cages will not take any responsibility for their design and installation they carried out. Disgusting from a company that does this as a safety measure to protect lives
@ls7orBust If i had to assume by wall thickness, they're using chromoly. For the most part a roll bar (nhra) 1 3/4 mild steel with a .118 wall, or 1 3/4 chromoly .083 wall. A roll cage 1 5/8 mild steel with .118 and 1 5/8 chromoly with a .083 wall.
Fantastic job from the technician. very accurate welds. step by step. no shortcuts. safety indeed is the number one priority in a roll cage

Thanks for this video. I'm not making any roll cages with my everlast welder at the moment but I sure do want to soon.
This guy knows his shit .

This is an MSA spec cage for the UK and Europe . Guessing in the US the reg ulations are different
Quite a bit more tubing and gussets than I see on most SCCA sanctioned race cars at the club level. To me more of a pro set up but a nice cage.
💯💪Perfetto, ottimo lavoro

I really need a tube bender. That would make my powertig so much more useful. I wouldn't have to send tubes out to be bent by other people.
Very nice vid... thank you....
Impressive!
what is the diameter of the tube?
I think the tube is 1/58th's of an inch tube, with a 3mm wall.
That tube bender dam...
Mantap bos semoga sukses
beautiful work, but have fun painting that sob all said n done lol
Electrostatic paint is your friend for roll cages.
My dad races sport compacts

That looks like fence piping, not roll cage piping!
