Thank you so much for sharing your instant pot recipe! Your video is clear and easy to follow. Informative and visually pleasing. I use my instant pot everyday and I make instant pot recipe videos too so I am always on the look out to see what everyone is using their instant pots for. This recipe is one I haven’t tried. You taught me something new. Id love to learn from each-other.
Thank you for the excellent instructions! I am wondering what the difference in the end result is between using air fry, roast, and broil? I am following your recipe and using broil now, first time using the air crisp lid!
Thank you for your video. My question: I would like to have crisp chicken whole around. Can I turn the chicken so it will get crisp the other side too or will it burn? How long do I need to broil it when it’s turn?
Hi there! 👋 It should be fine if you wanted to crisp the other side. We would recommend the air fry or broil setting for 5 minute increments until it's to your desired crispness. Hope you enjoy it. Thanks for watching, commenting, and supporting our channel, we appreciate it! 🙂
Must have been so delicious. I am glad to have learned something new today. Thanks for sharing.. stay blessed my friend. 💖 💕Stay Blessed and stay connected 😍
Hello! The all purpose seasoning we used in this recipe was Trader Joe's 21 Seasoning Salute. Not sure if it's still available, but for sure give it a try if you find it. Hope you try the chicken and enjoy. Thanks for watching and commenting, we appreciate it! 😊
Hello! The 6 min/lb is advisable for whole chicken in an Instant Pot. Ours was perfectly cooked at that time, but you can always temp it to make sure, and add a few extra min if necessary. We hope you give it a try, it's so good! Thanks for watching and for your comment, we appreciate it!
Thank you for the excellent video! I’m making a 6.5 lb chicken today in my IP duo crisp. Have my bird in now for the pressure cook portion, going to try the roast feature for the final stretch. Hope it comes out as nice as yours. Merry Christmas 🎄 oh and I subscribed!
Hi there! 👋 Yes, as you see in the video we pressure cooked the chicken first to make it perfectly juicy, then you can air fry or broil to crisp up the skin. Makes a delicious chicken, we hope you try it out! Thanks for watching and for the comment! 🙂
Hi there! 👋 Glad to hear you will try the recipe, its a winner. These cutting boards are great, we got them on Amazon. I put a link for you below, hope that helps. 😊 Thanks for watching and for your comment, we appreciate it! 😀 Plastic Cutting Board, 16.2"... www.amazon.com/dp/B09BDVK5B5?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Hi there! 👋 Yes, you can! Instant Pot does just sell the air fryer lid that is compatible with many of their models. I did a quick check and it appears the crisp lid is compatible with the Duo Nova. I have provided a link for you below, which is also in the description box. Just double check with your specific model. Hope that helps, happy cooking! 🙂 Air Fryer Lid for Instant Pot 6QT Model, 1300W Powerful Pressure Cooker Lid, Air Fryer Transformer, Turn Pressure Cooker into Air Fryer/Dehydrator/Broil a.co/d/ch3V6Pq
Hi there! The liquid we used is chicken broth, but you could also use water. The liquid is necessary for the Instant Pot to pressurize. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching! 🙂
Hi Suzy and Matt! Roasted Chicken looks so good! I so love that it is so tender and very juicy 😍 New Subscriber here from ytcc 🥰 Have a wonderful week ahead!

Let us know what you would like to see. Take care! 😀
the manufacturer says 8 minutes per pound ? I accept there is however a large element of guesswork and personal preference when using these sort of pots
Hi there! 👋 We have found that 6 minutes per pound has worked perfectly for us, and we also broiled it for a few minutes after pressure cooking, so adjusting the time helps it not be overcooked. We agree that there is a lot of flexibility when cooking with an instant pot, so you can always adjust to your preferences. Thanks for watching and for your comment, we appreciate it! 🙂
If it splits it ain't more tender ...it's pulverised , way overcooked . You put that chicken in a conventional oven and you're done in less time , guaranteed.
Actually it was one of the most tender chickens that we have ever made, but to each their own! Sometimes we don't feel like heating up the whole house with the oven so we opt for the simplicity of the instant pot. Have a great day and thanks for watching!
Hi there! We feel we explained the recipe and steps clearly in the video, and we're sorry you don't seem to think so. Thanks for the feedback and hope you have a better day! 🙂 ✌️
@@theessentiallife9270 All I saw was the finished product. For six minutes. The description said about 40 minutes overall. Guess that works for you. Thx.
Worked out beautifully! And I can't cook, so I'm truly happy! And so is my family. Thank you!! 💜

Does the 6 mins/lb get the chicken to a safe temp of around 180?
