You only gave us the results from one test, the Wisdom Panel, even though you took 5 tests. I'm not sure what your reasoning was for deciding that was the best test. There was really no comparing or contrasting in this video, except to tell us the differences in the types of collection swabs. Way too much time was spent asking people what they thought your dog was and not enough in explaining the results from each test.
I wonder if these DNA tests are just like the 23 and me ones where they only have so many samples so that’s where they pull from, so later on it expands after many people or doggos take the test.

Agree. I don't understand why the Wisdom Panel was the best test when that was the only one we saw the results from. What did the other tests say and why did you feel the Wisdom Panel was the best?
Those test results are all wrong, Jackson is 100% good boi!!! Thank you for this video! Loved all the guesses especially the “mut”, I was looking for a good dna test for my pup and appreciate your review!! You are an angel!
What makes you say that ? From the reviews and videos on TH-cam embark is more accurate. Breaks down way more instead of grouping they actually specify. What makes you say wisdom I’m just curious because I’m about to order one of the two and am undecided.
@@acepirate5302 its the opposite gor me when it comes to TH-cam, ive seen so many bad reviews of Embark, and great reviews of Wisdom Panel. Since Jackson is the greatest escape artist, the Norwegian Elkhound is no surprise. A friend had a shelter dog who looked exactly like a Norwegian Elkhound, and Raja was the greatest escape artist I could imagine. My friend couldn’t keep her in her suburban home, and gave her to a forest ranger, and she thrived on that life.
SO, is the chart here at the 5:29 mark what the doggy is made up of? I am talking about the doggy who is in the video here and we all want to know his DNA makeup. IF SO, it is GREAT that we all know now what he is made up of genetically as far as dog breeds. STUPIDLY, I am still wondering if ALL of the doggy DNA tests will AGREE with each other. They all SHOULD of course, BUT, If the tests are NOT being done by HONEST people, the stats could end up being kinda "crooked", BUT, if they are done right, things should be okay. Hopefully, everybody will be honest about everything. I guess I should have more faith in mankind?
@@no_action_jacksonbesidethe8769 I have seen many of these dog DNA tests and none got any wolf in them which is strange even if the dog had like 0.5% wolf in them it just goes to show that dogs came from wolves. Myself have always questioned about dogs coming from wolves and don't really believe this theory as there was many other breeds of wild dog species out there and now some extinct, but also there are some dog breeds that have descended from wolves.

I want to test OUR MISS ADDIE MAY, to see if she is REALLY part PITTY Bull pooch, or is she just a mix of dogs that look like they are pitty's, and are just obnoxious and as jealous as all hell of any other animal BUT her male counterpart, LUKEY. And, even HE may get attacked, ( superficially) IF a stray rawhide chew is considered to be "IN PLAY" vs having been already claimed by the dog is he is "roomies" with. \ What I REALLY WANT, is to know what is the best doggy DNA test that I can use to see what my family's CRABBY ass dog "Addie May" is genetically made up of. I had gotten results for my older dog years ago, BUT, that had been maybe 6-7 years ago or more. But, I don't recall what doggy DNA company that I had used back then. Just maybe somebody tell me what doggy DNA test company that would be best. IF NOT, I guess I can find a way to see who is good and reputable in the doggy DNA testing game.

I was told (by the puppy's owners) that my dog was a Lab/Husky X Rottie/GrPyrenees mix - at least that is what the parents were. The puppy I chose from the litter was the only one with short hair and a badger face. Based on that info I joined a Pyr FB group. I recently got curious as to how much Pyr she had in her, so I ordered the DNAMYDOG test and was totally floored when the results came back with NO Husky and NO Pyr! It said she was Lab/Rottie/Border Collie and BASENJI! I could accept the Border Collie because of her coloring, but the Basenji came out of left field! This meant she is a "Lurcher." Basically a "sighthound" mixed with another working breed. I could not believe the Basenji part, so I ordered another DNA test. This time it was "Wisdom Panel." Got back some of the same results - Lab/Rottie/Border Collie - but this time no mention of Basenji! 😲 This time it had some "Terrior" and MEXICAN STREET DOG in her ancestory! Soooooooooooooooooooooooo, I ordered ANOTHER test. This time it was the ORIVET DNA test. I am still waiting for the results. I am assuming that the three main breeds will be the same - Lab/Rottie/Border Collie - but I am very curious as to what other breeds this test will show. Will it match any of the other two, or will it be totally different? We'll have to wait and see. 🙄
And the results from the ORIVET (3rd) DNA test are in! Rottie came back at 37.5% Border Collie came back at 25% Lab and Golden came back equal at 12.5% @ so she is 25% Lab. Finally there was 12.5% mixed breed - which is probably the Basenji, Mexican Street Dog, Terrier mix?
Hey there, thanks for sharing this informative video about all Dog DNA Test. It's great to see the amount of information and detail that this video have. I'll definitely consider getting one for my furry friend. On a side note, I actually made a hilarious video featuring a dog and a cat. It's a hilarious combat between cat vs dog about DNA tests that will definitely make you laugh loud. Keep up the great work!
Uuumm, okay, so the doggy in the video here is NOT the same doggy dna that has been shown here in the bar graph. I had REALLY thought it was, BUT, okay, it was not. Anyhow, THAT doggy's DNA results are gonna be told by his mommy. His name is JACKSON , and he is 42% BOXER, 28% Australian Shepherd, 11% Chow Chow, 8% German Shepherd, 5% white swiss shephard , 4% Pomeranian, an 4% GINDO. I have no idea what a GINDO is. I am THINKING that I just have not heard the name of the dog breed right.
I think its very clear/unedniable your dog has rhodesian ridgeback in it, yet the final slide @ 6:54 somehow omits rhodesian ridgeback entirely? This seems super fishy to me. Rationale: 1. Rhodesian ridgeback is a very rare breed that most casual observers arent even aware exists, yet was overwhelmingly suggested by those interviewed. Im willing to bet those who didnt say it have never been around a ridgeback to be able to see the resemblance. 2. I have a rhodesian ridgeback and belgian malinois mix and he looks a lot like your dog. I suspected your dog was boxer and rhodesian ridgeback based on looks alone before seeing the results - which aligns very closely with your aggregate survey data shown at 5:24 3. You said you liked that test result the best without giving explanation as to why, which makes me think it may have been chosen based on how closely it matched how you see your dog (confirmation bias) 4. Due to this being a very uncommon breed, it is very likely that it would be inadvertently omitted from the source dna database they use for comparison to give you the results. I would be very interested to see all results mapped the way the guesses were aggregated and see how closely they align. I would also like to see the other results individually, and finally the one that most closely matched the peoples guess ratios. That would be really neat.
I too assumed immediately Rhodesian Ridgeback. I used to have a Rhodesian and Jackson is like a mini version of her. I was super surprised not to see any in the results too!
I am genuinely impressed that all of the tests found significant amounts of boxer. It looks pretty reliable the he’s at least one third boxer. I’m suddenly quite amused to try and test my doggie. I already know what she should be, as she’s an AKC registered chihuahua with papers and a pedigree. I would be interested to see if the test shows anything NOT chihuahua.
