Swapping my Vapor Leak Detection Pump it's located on the underside of the truck on the gas tank. Check out a few videos on the change. 40$ Part Will update if it fixes my issue good luck!
Hey brandon I'm having the same issue.. Quick story I got a scan from auto zone that suggested changing the purge valve. I know they are not always direct but what are the chances that it is actually the detection pump?
@@bryonthelyon for me it was the filler neck vent hose and the filler tube clamp was loose. Only true fixx is to go through every single part of EVAP front to back till you find the leak
@@chancesmall7026 thank you for letting me know. I always smell gas by the filler tube when I turn off my engine so that was going to be my next attempt. I tried smoking it but couldn’t get an accurate read. Hopefully the filler tube will fix this. It makes sense since that is where it was hit. Thanks again!
Are you referring to the purge valve? I actually ended up swapping it anyway with the Napa part and the issue persists. I have no idea where to look but another smoke test is probably the answer. Do you happen to know how difficult it is to swap the gas tank fill pipe? I don’t know what it’s called but it could be the issue
I’m saying that you need to remove the vent valve and test it. You need apply a ground and power to see if it clicks and then you need to blow through it while you apply power to the valve. There are plenty of videos on how to test the vent valve and the purge valve.
@@local80g ok I’ll try that. I just think given where my truck got hit, it is most likely in the back where the majority of the evap system is, but it’s worth testing. Thanks.
Ive been lpokomg for a video on how to remove that IAT sensor and tha k you very very much
You are very welcome!
@@bryonthelyon I have a 12 big horn and my sensor ain't like yours but in the same location so I guess it's the same way of removal
@@jimmywarden6320 I would think so, yes.

Sir thank you for the video
Hello my friend that is a possibility vapor canister leak detection pump , you can check
Napa “actually the jokes on your trucks still not fixed”
@@chancesmall7026 yes that’s true. And even funnier I still replaced it with the Napa part which still didn’t fix it. Jokes on me

You should have ran power to it to see if it clicks. You should blow through it with power run to it and without it.

Or are you saying that the issue could be power? How do I do that exactly?

Could someone tell me whats the difference between the Esim and leak detection pump? Are they the same?
I wish I could tell you but I don’t know. Hopefully someone else here can though.
Yes same thing just how dodge names it@bryonthelyon
Did you figure out what was wrong with it
No not yet. Another viewer suggested testing to see if the purge valve opens and the solenoid. I still need to do this.
